Rye has not won yet but did do well on the AW back in Sept/Oct, having two runs to second off a 62 in C6 and a 61 in C5. She has, in the past, run well after a break. She also ran to second here when second up after her debut in a novice way back then. She comes into today with a half-decent draw and Marco Ghiani and could be in the mix off a 60

Beaten last time out by a horse completing a double, so obviously in form. Apprentice Lily Dingle takes off 7 lb, so I think a competitive ride is expected.

Lightly raced 4yo who has been a runner-up four times. He should be better for the run two weeks ago over this 6f C/D. He had a poor draw and was never in a position to challenge. He was returning from a four-month break and has a good low draw for this contest. He's on a very tempting mark now, based on the ratings he posted last year.

Since his last run, Sub Thirteen has moved to the yard of Jeremy Scott, who won last year's Champion Hurdle with Golden Ace. Prior to changing yards, Sub Thirteen ran three races on the all-weather, finishing third, fourth, and fifth. His latest race was at Southwell, where he finished fourth. Today he is dropped a pound and has a new jockey on board. In the hope that the trainer can find some improvement, Sub Thirteen could well run a good race on his first visit to Kempton Racecourse.

Having won his last race here at Kempton on 28 January, Big Bard now has an excellent record at this track. His four appearances here have yielded a third place, a sixth place, and two wins. The bookmakers' odds of 15/1 seem high given these statistics. An each-way bet could be profitable.

Dragon God is a bit of a long shot and has not even been in the money yet. He is second up after wind surgery and is debuting for a new yard with a drop to C6 and 6f. All of this can add a bit more spring to his step. Worth an each-way 4P with the rider on a bit of a roll of late.
