Four runs this year for the 4yo colt, taking a big step forward in his last two runs, winning an Irish £50K handicap and a £50K Listed contest, both by a cosy 2L+. He’s a Group class runner now running in a handicap company, rated 113 but running off a 105 mark in this 8f handicap. Not a great draw but he does have the best jockey in the saddle - Ryan Moore.

8/12 3-5yo. 3/12 winning favs, 5/12 top 3 in the market. 9/12 carried 9st3 or less. Has a hard job to do having been raised 5lbs for LTO success at Newmarket. That race will likely work out very well and he'd previously won his group of 10 in the Britannia at Ascot despite only finishing 4.5L 7th. Is thought of as Cambridgeshire type. Another race with a fair bit of pace on and a collapse would suit. 6 places around with Sky and Betfair.

Greek Order did well from a wide draw last time out at Sandown, well supported in the market. He took a little time to grab a prominent position, which likely cost him some energy, and he paid for it late on, still finishing a creditable third. Prior to that, he was an eye-catcher at Royal Ascot, finishing an excellent fourth in the Hunt Cup, chasing home a couple of well-handicapped horses. He looked pretty smart when winning at Sandown and Newbury on ground with cut, before finishing a close second in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket. Since returning from his period in the US, he’s quickly found his form under Michael Bell, and the booking of Oisin Murphy certainly catches the eye. At around 13/2, he’s one to consider.

Reliable performer at this track and trip, but her record in higher-class handicaps is a concern. May run into a place if others underperform, but others appear to hold stronger winning credentials.

A big gamble on this one. Has won 5 times over this course and has winning form on this heavy ground we have here, so has a cracking chance.

Has been very well backed and has a solid each-way chance since the refitting of the cheekpieces seems to do the trick.

Seventh of thirty in the Royal Hunt Cup over a mile at Royal Ascot last month but second of seven in his group where the field split and he was only a nose beyond Fox Legacy in sixth. Eased a pound to a mark of 97 and should welcome the step up in trip after racing over 7 furlongs at Newmarket earlier this month when 5th of 12 but kept on well inside the final furlong.

Lightly raced 6-year-old, used to big fields. 2/20 in last year's Lincoln, ended the season 2/20 at Ascot Balmoral H/C. Proven on heavy going. Trainer and jockey combo had a 28/1 place here on Tuesday.

Great Chieftain won here at Goodwood over course and distance a year ago and is back for a repeat performance, which would complete a hat-trick as he has won his last two. Colin Keane on board is encouraging.

Afentiko caught the eye when he was a fast-finishing 3rd behind Teroomm at Haydock in May. He then went on to run in the Britannia at Royal Ascot, where he made the running until finishing beaten only 5 1/2 lengths in 11th out of 30. He was only a length behind the forecast favorite for this race, Fifth Column, on that occasion, so at 33/1, he has a sporting chance of being in the mix.
