I'm really hoping DANNICK misses this engagement. He's a winner waiting to happen, but he needs blinkers and a mile. He is entered at Leicester next week for the first time over a mile trip. Missed engagement yesterday in favor of this race, which is deeper. Ignore last run, no sort of ride for an inexperienced jockey. He has his quirks, tends to miss the break as he did last time, but prior looked like they'd ironed out that kink. Needs to be cajoled into his races and played late. I envisaged 5/1, so at 15/2 we're getting the value. Be amazed if he runs here instead of Leicester, which looks a penalty kick. But in case he does, at these odds got to put him up. His price collapsed 10/1 into 5/1, he could not win. He's been well supported every run this season, be surprised if this price holds up. On several lines of form, he's good enough to be placed at the very least. First-time blinkers could be key. The rain that's falling will make this a test of stamina. 4 places up for grabs, each way bet with little downside.

Sent off favorite when 4th of 7, beaten a length over a mile at Newcastle 8 days ago. Remains on the same mark and will be suited by the drop in trip, being a former course and distance winner off a 6-pound higher mark in March this year.

Reasonable efforts the last twice over this trip at Wolverhampton. Very easy winner here over 6f last year and can easily take one of the 4 places on offer, now 5lb below last winning mark.

Down in grade, drops a pound in the weights, and wears cheekpieces for the first time. More importantly, has heavy ground for the first time since sluicing through it on winning debut last November. Huge chance in this.

I'm backing Each Way because there are some nice odds at play, and I want some security with 4 places on offer. However, I think Ey Up Its Jazz is a serious player here. Fallon rode this horse to a win back in November and has won twice since. 28% strike rate for Fallon and 21% for Jazz. It's soft out there, and that's just how this horse will want it.
