Commanche Falls isn't getting any younger, but he's still got plenty of enthusiasm and ability. His third at York last time in a very hot looking handicap was his best run of the year. He won't be inconvenienced by the easing ground, and is likely to run to form again. He looks a solid each way shout.

Course winner who drops back to the 6 furlongs sprint distance after running in longer events, where he weakened in the final furlong. Trip suits.

Both the jockey and trainer can do little wrong at the moment, and this horse has a huge chance on his 2nd of 22 when beaten a nose by Godwinson earlier in the year off a 1 lb lower mark. That was at this course over a furlong further, and he travelled well to lead at this distance in that race, so there's every reason to expect him to go close here. This will no doubt have been the plan ever since that race.

Showed some nice improvement last time out finishing 2nd when upping in class. Class 2 again here and can spring a few surprises with top jockey Saffie booked.

This 7-year-old won this race 12 months ago, but his latest race is one to forget, as he was agitated in the stalls at Haydock just 8 days ago. He is very much a candidate to consider with a change in headgear, particularly for an each-way bet at appealing odds of 20/1.

Second start back in handicap company for Roger Varian (SR 16%) trained Russet Gold. Has been tried in Stakes competition for a year. Silvestre De Sousa (SR 18%) back in the saddle. Al Kazeem 5yo hasn't had that many starts. Chance back on soft ground from easing mark of 95.

VAFORTINO has made a belated start back to his campaign clearly needing time , but encouragement could be taken from his run last month and he has potential to take a significant step forward on the back of that effort. Given second-up for this spell could be a good time to have him on side this mature son of New Bay he could be overpriced.
