MAXI KING has joined Kevin Philippart De Foy who has an excellent record with racers recruited from other yards. Horses clearly respond well to the new surroundings , work regime and diet change and this five year old has started back late this term. Given time freshened up since last seen in June representing Amo Racing clearly well regarded with potential to stay this far he could still be capable from his high handicap mark.

2 from 3 at Doncaster, having finished last on his other visit when clearly not right. Racked up a hat-trick of wins in July and August before only midfield last time on ground which looks to have been too quick given his peak efforts are on good or softer. A mark of 91 is a career high, but he steps up in trip today and is thoroughly unexposed at beyond a mile for a trainer who so often excels with stayers. Looks enough pace on offer and with conditions to suit, he can bounce back to winning ways.

Progressive individual last year who picked up a hot handicap at Glorious Goodwood over this trip. Has been in the grip of the handicapper this season but ran well when 4th off this mark in the Old Borough Cup on Saturday. Needs more for win purposes but unlikely to be far away.

The 5yo has raced on the flat/AW/jumps. He has been 1st or 2nd in 6 of 10 flat turf races. He posted 104+ RPR ratings in his last two turf races - high-quality handicap races - despite not winning. Now racing on a more suitable slower ground after those two g/f races. Suitable 14f trip and going, lower grade race, decent mark. Looks overpriced.

May nick a place at a massive price. Has had 3 runs over hurdles for new trainer Murphy without setting the world alight. He was a useful flat horse in Germany 2 years ago and could run well here.
