Not certain he will take his chance, but if he does, I think his rivals will find it hard to pass him, being a proper graded horse in a handicap. He has gone well fresh before, and as a 10-year-old rising 11-year-old, there are only so many days in the sun left, meaning connections surely won't leave any prizes behind. Beat Djelo by 23L on soft ground last January, and that rates good form that can see him deny a mark of 165 for a yard in strong form.

Nassalam does not look like an obvious choice, but he gets his favoured testing going. Like Tanganyika, extreme distances on soft suit him, but he is a much better price having been pulled up in four of his last five runs. Prior to those five, he won two consecutive races at Chepstow on heavy and soft, which included the Welsh Grand National off 145. After a massive rise, he is back down to 147, so could be competitive again.
