Penny Ghent seems to have completely turned the corner, and connections appear to be cashing in while the going is good. The hat-trick is on.

Won over course and distance last May off 55, and runner-up here on his last two starts in April and earlier this month. He is still 4 lbs below that win last year and looks very solid here at a track he clearly loves.

This one is in my tracker as needing some sort of headgear to perk him back into life, and I'm staggered they haven't tried it. Clearly there is a problem, as this horse has dropped a massive 37 lb in one year. Nevertheless, he showed, when a 4-length 7th of 14 over CD earlier this month, that he still has some ability and is down 3 lb on that.

This 5-year-old stands out as a promising option here, given his solid history in Class 6 races and adept front-running approach. Following his stylish win at Nottingham in April, he has maintained a level of consistency that makes him a viable each-way contender at 14/1.
