Loves it at Beverley and has a nice draw again. Will need to be at it to go in and win again, but certainly has it in the locker in this wide-open race.

Last win was a Class 4, 5f (AW) handicap in December 2024, running off a mark of 76 Failed to win in 6 subsequent runs (all on Turf) with his closest finish coming last time out with a 2¼ lengths 5th of 10 in a Class 4, running off mark of 72 He drops down in grade to a Class 5 handicap today (won in his last race at this level, Nov.24), so remaining on a mark of 72 for today’s run I’ll chance an EW bet that he can at least run into a place at this lower grade with his regular 3lbs claimer in the saddle

Knocking on the door and due a change of luck. Unlucky in the last two runs, including over course and distance on the penultimate start, having got no sort of run with the gap appearing too late and just failing to get up. 2lb higher here, but with a clear run, will go close.

Herakles, the 5-year-old Dandy Man gelding trained by Paul Midgley and to be ridden by Paul Mulrennan, in tomorrow’s Racing TV Club Day Handicap, over 5 furlongs on good-to-firm ground. He’s returning to form following a solid effort when finishing a close second to Jo Jo Rabbit over this same course and distance just 16 days ago. That near-miss shows he handles the undulating Beverley 5f well and remains well handicapped off his current rating of 66. In what looks like a competitive sprint, he represents a strong each-way play. With his known liking for this track and Mulrennan booked to ride??'someone who can position him for that late punch??'he promises to be lively late on. We get another nice draw in 3 here and at 13/2 the value is there.

Tina Jackson's Without Flaw loves it here at Beverley, where she has won her last two starts, both over this distance. I think she can defy an eight lb rise in the weights this afternoon by winning this under the brilliant young jockey Warren Fentiman, who once again takes off his five lb claim.

Fenlander has a wide draw here, which can sometimes be a bad thing at Beverley. However, based on previous runs, it looks like the selection may be ready for a big run. It has pace, so the drop back to this trip should be fine.

Rock Of England has fallen to a ridiculously low rating considering his best form, however his recent runs leave quite a lot to be desired. He has shown glimmers of hope a couple of times lately, and maybe Jason Hart can galvanise him effectively here.

A wide-open sprint handicap which can go the way of Sergeant Mayer, a 4-year-old gelding trained by Nigel Tinkler. He is a three-time winner and ultra-consistent, finishing in the top three in 17 out of 29 starts. He is 6 lb above his last winning mark, so clearly not regressive, having performed well in recent starts, posting a career-high RPR of 75 only four starts back when beaten a neck by H K Fourteen, a sprinter who has won since, making it 5 wins from the last 10 starts. If Sergeant Mayer reproduces that kind of form today, he can go close and make it a good day for the Tinkler yard with his full brother, Tenors Inn, running earlier on the card in a nursery handicap.

Bayraat caught my eye four runs ago when keeping on fourth of nine at Redcar and ran a good third of nineteen on the penultimate start. Drops to a career low of 60 today and could be worth an e.w.

Let's have One More Dream. Though having been a bit below its best this year, it is now dropping in the weights. The Quinn yard, in better form lately, could certainly be involved in the finish here on its best form.
