4:40 Ascot Tips

In each of his last two races, Brosay has been far from impressive at the beginning and early stages of the race. However, he cannot be faulted for the later part of the race as each time he has got up to win. His last success was over today's course and distance just over a month ago where he won by a length. He is up another six pounds for that success. Providing he does not give too much ground away in the early part of the race, then every chance of completing the hat trick.

The well named Tuco Salamanca has done little wrong all year winning 5 from 11 and placed twice. Ran a fine race when last seen in a good looking Curragh Premier Sprint Handicap when 5th of 23 and not enjoying the clearest of passages. Jamie Spencer booked is a plus and if allowed a trouble free run can go well.

Mick Easterby wouldn't waste his time sending his Sondad down here without another great chance. Form looks solid and has had two good spins here, and Joanne Mason has this only ride.

Aramram ran a cracker to finish 7th and has course form when 6th in the Wokingham. Any overnight rain will be a plus, and the red-hot Marquand takes the ride.

Bob Mali did well to run on into a close 2nd at Doncaster last time, considering he was hampered at the start. He has been raised two pounds but should be good enough for at least a place here.

Six runs for the 5-year-old this year and he has been below par. A bit of hope from his run three weeks ago, beaten 2 lengths in a 13-runner handicap, a little keen and at the rear but a strong run late on. He was rated 12 pounds higher on his return earlier in the year and is weighted to go well in this handicap. He was only beaten a length over this 6 furlongs C/D this time last year in a useful Group 3 contest.

Hasn't won for a while but has slipped down the weights as a result and has posted some better efforts since being gelded in the summer. Needs to find a bit more but unlikely to be far away once again.

Righthere Rightnow holds decent claims for in-form big sprint handicap trainer Richard Spencer. Runs off 85, a pound lower than when a strong fifth of 25 (stablemate won the race) in the Ayr Silver Cup, second of 11 in his group. Well drawn in stall 12 here. Well-handicapped Kodiac 3yo carrying just 8 stone 11 pounds.

Despite arriving on a losing streak, it's difficult to overlook his reliability. He delivered his best performance of the season by finishing 3rd in the Dash at York in July, and he showed his determination again by coming 6th at Doncaster last time out. But with odds at 18/1 and 4 places available, an each-way bet looks potentially profitable.
