Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore are always ready for a challenge at Aintree and they have found a good looking opportunity for a horse who has raced once and won once since joining the team from M. Sorority in France. The horse is totally unexposed and fancied to win after sluicing up at Ayr 14 days ago.

A useful flat horse that has won over hurdles too. Needs to bounce back from a disappointing run in the Imperial Cup, but this course could help and the price is a big one.

This is an amateur jockeys' handicap, but in truth there's a mix of quality and experienced riders, and some less so. This horse is a hold-up performer who will benefit if some of these go off too quickly, and that's a possible scenario. I can see him staying on into the places if they go off too hard. A risky each-way bet, mainly targeting place money.

No Ordinary Joe ran well two starts ago when his run flattened out late on. Has run poorly the last twice, but hopefully a change of headgear and this flat track can bring about an improvement.
