Apples Jane is a daughter of the brilliant Apples Jade and has shown hints of having ability while needing time to mature. She was placed in her first three bumpers, but her best run was last time at Wexford in May when she was beaten just 2.25 lengths by a Willie Mullins odds-on favourite, with 15 lengths back to the third. The conditions of this race suit, and if ready after 4 months off, she looks difficult to beat.

Outclassed but showed minor promise in a strong race on debut when well beaten in a 4yo bumper over 2m1f at Punchestown. Returning from a break; effective at 2m; should improve for initial experience.

Raced in midfield before making some good headway 2f out and then weakening final furlong to come 7/13 beaten 12 lengths in a similar level NHF race over 2.1 miles @ Killarney. Entitled to come on for that run/experience and good jockey/trainer combination makes current 20/1 worth Ew consideration here.

Apples Jane has had plenty of chances for me and is readily taken on with the well bred Rebel Cry. It took him a while to get the hang of things on debut at Killarney but the penny eventually dropped and he stayed on nicely to finish 4th. Should be all the better for that experience. Solid ew chances at the very least.

Spinans Hill makes his racecourse debut and is given an outside chance based on his pedigree. There are some useful types down the damline and he is related, via the granddam, to two times National Hunt Flat race winner Theatrical Style. A home bred and a good run will be hoped for.
