Raced off the same mark at Killarney next time back up in trip and finished a close 4th over 20f, and then improved again stepping up to three miles. Dropped back in distance last time at Wexford and was a close 2nd. Back up slightly in trip here from a slightly higher mark and looks to have a decent chance of regaining the winning thread after a couple of years.

Both jockey and trainer have had a fantastic week so far here at Listowel, and I wouldn't be surprised if they were amongst the winners today.

This 5-year-old has run impressively in her last 2 performances at Killarney and Stratford, adapts well to softer conditions, and looks to be a formidable competitor when in top shape. With 5 places on the table, an each-way bet at 12/1 is a worthwhile consideration.

I've been scraping around looking for some potential big money each way value and I'll be honest there isn't a lot about but I'm happy to have a tentative small punt on Grainne O' Connor's 7 year old Mare LOVE BITE who ran her best race to date 33 days ago @Ballinrobe finishing 7th 7¼ off the winner but wasn't far off hitting the Frame. This Daughter of MILAN is dropped 2lbs for that & retains the services of 3lb Claimer Aiden Kelly. Id not be putting the mortgage on this one but we're running in the same grade over the same trip a little lighter fingers crossed we can creep a little closer.

She has been slowly improving over hurdles and ran a much better fourth last time out on her opening mark of 91 in a maiden race at Tramore last month. She has scope to build on that effort today as she is making her handicap debut with jockey Darragh O'Keefe retaining the ride.

Stable debut for this one time Jessie Harrington inmate who was third at only attempt at this trip in a Ballinrobe mares maiden hurdle that worked out okay. Is beautifully bred and surely connections have bought into the fact that this mare on paper will be a useful tool in the breeding shed, so will want to get some good form in the book. By a King's Theatre mare so decent ground should suit and I like the 7lb claimer onboard who has taken weight off a couple of highly weighted horses lately and given them good rides to win. Yard can get one to win too and looks too big a price to my eye given trip and ground should be right up her street on paper. Could go well at a price if connections can eke out a bit more and has been given a break since flopping on handicap debut for previous yard over a trip possibly too far.
