Worth an e/w squeak in this event. K. Kennady brings the weight down by five, which should help this course and distance winner to run well.

Speckled Meadow looks interesting here with two of her three wins coming on heavy ground. She has not had this ground so far this year, but arguably her best run was last time on soft at Galway two weeks ago when she was 6th in a 7 furlongs handicap. She is off the same mark, which is only 2 lbs higher than her last win, and with her useful claimer taking off 7 lbs, she looks like a good EW bet with 5 places on offer.

Baltray Lady may offer some value at 22-1. Joseph O'Brien's only entry in the race and Dylan Browne McMonagle rides. Useful in maiden last year before 'comfortably' winning on first handicap start at Bellewstown over 1 mile, soft ground. Tried twice in a better class than this and further also. Back to last winning mark of 67 now. Conditions suit and interesting back from a break for top stable.

At 25's Andrew Slattery's 3 year old Gelding PETE'S DREAM looks a little interesting. Being a Son of ELZAAM it's no suprise this lads better runs have come with juice in the turf & ran a lot better than the bare result 12 days ago @Cork Meeting a bit of interference, this charge got closer on his only other run on this going over 7f @Tipperary & drops a massive 10lbs when you factor in Jockey Booking Adam Browne-Zouza's 7lb claim. Trainer has a 32.73% place strike rate the past month, a 28.07% place strike rate here the past 5 years & 24.39% place strike rate with his 2nd time out handicap runners. Interesting - I'll roll the dice.
