Laoise Eile had a couple of turf runs last year. She failed to live up to expectations, finishing 8th and 9th. Returning after almost eight months off the track, she has her first AW start. She is related to winners, including a dual Dundalk winner. She needs to prove she is better than her first-season runs, but she is well bred and ought to prove herself this year.

This horse was heavily backed in from 40/1 to 5/2, even though it disappointed with a ninth-place finish after a slow start. It's going for better today.

These 4yo and older maidens have shown very little on the racecourse so far. Andrew Slattery-trained Coulsty Exchange finished ahead of the much shorter-priced Mveve here seven days ago. The stable's runners often improve for a second start, so at 16s this filly by Coulsty is tried. She should cope with the slight step up in trip well.

First run back from a rest so she needs to prove her fitness but it's encouraging that she did run well on her first run of last season. Her final run of last year was a better race than this which was on turf , may do better today because this race wont be as tough as last time. She may have more to offer on this surface.

In her latest attempt at the 1m race in Dundalk this month, she finished 10th. She has yet to demonstrate her stamina at this trip. Her most notable performance close to this range was a 4th-place finish in a 1m maiden at Dundalk back in October 2024. Lately she has frequently ended up in the lower half of the standings, often at long odds. While she may seem like a risky bet, I believe she shouldn't be overlooked, especially with her new trainer, J G Murray, who is a well-respected, small-scale enthusiast dedicated to maximizing the potential of lower-grade horses rather than competing against top-tier stables. With odds at 80/1, I think a small each-way bet backing the noble cause is worth considering.
