3:02 Dundalk Tips

Sovereign Point has been knocking on the door with three placed runs here recently. He tends to lead or share the lead and it sets the race up. Looks exposed and is likely to do that again. I'm Spartacus is close with the former-mentioned and beat him two races ago, only to see a reversal last time. However, he is still racing off a winning mark.

Only beaten 0.25 lengths by I'm Spartacus, and they reoppose with Sovereign Banter going close twice. With a huge gap in the weights??'thanks to a 7 lb claimer??'there's over a stone in favour of this selection. The high draw shouldn't be insurmountable, and the horse should be winning again if maintaining recent form.

A reliable 6f horse, especially when competing at Dundalk, where his strong late-closing style is ideal over the distance. He has earned a solid reputation here, having raced multiple times over 6f at this track, often winning or placing. Now, at 20 lb below his last winning weight, he offers fantastic value at 10/1.

Perhaps David Marnane's 10 year old Gelding JERED MADDOX's best days are well and truly behind him but this old boy has landed me some big priced wins in the past so certainly owes me nothing but on his current mark (like many in this contest) I can't see how you could totally dismiss him. This Son of LAWMAN is no stranger here @Dundalk notching up 11 career win here with 6 of those over today's trip off marks of 58-74 & yes I know this lad hasn't been at the races but it has only been 2 runs here since we saw This charge winning a much deeper contest off a mark of 82 (5f). Normally I'd be thrilled at nabbing stall #1 but this lad has never been one to make the running so that's kind of irrelevant & if im being honest the jockey booking doesn't exactly thrill me but I'm not here to knock jockeys I totally respect the job they do & besides 10lb is extremely helpful. Would I back this lad at 10/1 no I wouldn't but at 33/1 I'm happy to have a very small each way for this proven track specialist.
