The Hippodrome de Vichy-Bellerive is located in central France and first staged horse racing in 1875.
Vichy hosts harness racing, also known as trotting, in addition to thoroughbred racing on the flat and over hurdles; there are around 40 race days a year.
Races at Vichy are run on a right-handed circuit, and there is also an all-weather track inside the turf circuit.
The most prestigious race at Vichy is the Group 3 Grand Prix de Vichy-Auvergne, which is run in July over 10 furlongs for three-year-olds and upwards.
