Pau Racecourse Guide

The Hippodrome de Pau first featured horse racing in 1842 and is situated in southwestern France, set along the Pyrenees mountain range.

Pau is famous in other sports, particularly motorsports and holds the title of being the city that staged the first-ever Grand Prix.

In 2006, the racecourse underwent a major renovation increasing the facilities to allow larger attendances, they get over 150k visitors each year.

The track is the home of jumps racing, unlike most courses it features an all-weather course that is outside of the turf courses.

It is a right-handed track except for some chase races which are run in a figure of eight.

The most prestigious race at Pau is the Grand Prix de Pau, a Grade 3 Chase run over 3m2f and takes place in January of each year.

Racing takes place between December and February plus an additional three meetings in April, outside of that window head over to the racing tips page for tips elsewhere.

Using and betting on the Pau Racing Tips

During the season at Pau, you will find horse racing tips from the racing tipsters on this page.

Each race scheduled to take place will be listed above, along with each race we will highlight the runner who has received the most predictions to win.

Along with each runner, you will see all of the statistics, how many tipsters have backed the horse to win vs the total number of tips on the race.

Using those figures, you can see the percentage of tips supporting the runner which is used along with the odds to produce a value rating.

Also, you can click on the race to bring up the race page for even more information including comments on the race left by the racing tipsters.

For any runners you want to back, use the 'Add' to betslip button, you can add multiple Pau predictions or even picks from other courses and other sports to build an accumulator.
