Turkish Airlines Open Tips

Puig has been in very consistent form through 2026 so far, with six top-eight finishes from nine starts across the LIV and DP World Tours.

2nd, 4th, 1st. Daniel Hillier has had an exceptional season so far. He has had a second, a fourth, and a victory in the New Zealand Open. He looks the man to beat.

Tom McKibbin was 5th last time out at the Mexico City LIV Golf Invitational, and I fancy he won't be too far away this week in Turkey. The Northern Irishman has wins on the Asian Tour and DP World Tour, and I am siding with McKibbin being right in contention come the back nine on Sunday.

The Spaniard was runner-up in the Hero Indian Open, then 9th in the Tulum Championship over in America. Eugenio Chacarra has been playing well on both sides of the Atlantic, and I am backing he goes close in the Turkish Airlines Open.

The English golfer was 6th last week in the China Open, and he has three top-ten finishes in the last two months on the DP World Tour. I do think Nathan Kimsey will have a very good Turkish Airlines Open.

Jacob Skov Olesen finished T12 here last year. That was with a poor opening round of 73, which he made up for with rounds of 67, 69, and 65. He's been playing well of late with finishes of T3, T5, and T16 in his last handful of starts.

Mikael Lindberg was T24 here on debut last year, and his inexperience being on the first couple of pages of a leaderboard on a Sunday showed that week with a final round of 73. A year on, and coming off his best finish of his career to date, where his game looked in great shape as he finished 3rd at the Volvo China Open with impressive rounds of 68, 70, 65 and 67, I like the look of him to go deep again this week.

The Chinese player was 25th last week in the China Open, and I do think he will put a better week together in Turkey. Last year he was 12th in the Turkish Airlines Open, and I think Wenyi Ding will do very well in this tournament.

Four top-six finishes in the last five tournaments for the Emirati golfer, and I am tipping he is a man playing some very good golf right now. He has finished 3rd and 13th in five Turkish Airlines Open starts, and my tip is Adrian Otaegui will be one to follow this week on the DP World Tour.

Antoine Rozner is a three-time winner on the DP World Tour and is making his debut here in this event, which rewards ball striking which is the basis of his game. His recent form reads well, with finishes of T9, T14, and T8 in his last handful of outings, and 15 of his last 18 rounds being under par.

Bernd Wiesberger got DP World Tour title number 9 last week, and it would not surprise me to see him go back-to-back and enter the rarified air of the double-digit club here this week. Not only was his play with rounds of 64, 66, 68, and 67 impressive enough to get the job done, but his interview afterwards, where he stated he enjoyed the pressure on the 18th tee because he knew his game was there, was even more so.

The Spaniard has played the last six Turkish Airlines Opens and his worst finish was 35th. He was runner-up twelve months ago in Turkey, and I am tipping Jorge Campillo will be able to put four big rounds together to challenge again.

I never need much encouragement to get Guido Migliozzi onside. The signs of life he showed with his T13 finish in China last week, including a couple of rounds of 66, were more than enough for me. He's played here twice: T10 on debut in 2019 and T17 last year.

Nacho Elvira isn't the most consistent of players. Saying that, he has one tournament win behind him this year, and he is quite capable of making the top 5.

The Englishman has won in the Middle East and had top-five finishes in Portugal and Morocco, which match up nicely with Turkish climate and conditions. 25th, 14th, and 16th in three of his last four starts in Turkey, and I am backing Paul Waring will go well.

The Thai golfer has some good finishes in Turkey, and after finishing 13th last week in the China Open, I am tipping he puts a good week together in Turkey. Four top-25 finishes with a third and a sixth in the Turkish Airlines Open. My tip is Kiradech Aphibarnrat will be a big-price challenger.
