Australia Cup Format and Past Winners
Over 780 teams set out on FFA Cup glory, comprising Australia's 10 A-League teams and lower-tier teams competing in Australia's National State Premier Leagues.
The FFA Cup begins with the preliminary rounds in February through to June, at this point, the 21 teams that have made it through are joined by the National Premier League Champion and the 10 A-league teams.
These teams then go into the draw for the round of 32 with matches taking place in July and August, the A-league teams will play away from home if they are drawn against lower-tier opposition.
The last 16 matches are usually around the end of August with the quarter-finals mid to late September and the semi-finals in early October.
The FFA Cup Final to determine the winner is usually around the end of October.
