What Is The UEFA Nations League Format?

The UEFA Nations League is a new competition that aims to provide competitive international matches as opposed to meaningless friendlies. The format matches equally ranked national teams with the aim to hold the competition annually.

The teams are split into four leagues, A–B–C–D, according to their position in the UEFA National Team Coefficient Rankings. The groups consist of 3 or 4 teams.

UEFA Nations League Tips will be added to all the matches by OLBG members above.

League A

Group A1: France, Denmark, Croatia & Austria

Group A2: Spain, Portugal, Switzerland & Czech Republic

Group A3: Italy, Germany, England & Hungary

Group A4: Belgium, Netherlands, Poland & Wales

The four teams that finish bottom of their groups will be relegated to League B for the 2024-25 UEFA Nations League.

League B

Group B1: Ukraine, Scotland, Republic of Ireland & Armenia

Group B2: Iceland, Russia, Israel & Albania

Group B3: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Romania & Montenegro

Group B4: Sweden, Norway, Serbia & Slovenia

The four group winners are promoted to League A, with the four sides that finish bottom relegated to League C for the next competition to be played in 2024-25.

League C

Group C1: Turkey, Luxembourg, Lithuania & Faroe Islands

Group C2: Northern Ireland, Greece, Kosovo & (Cyprus or Estonia)

Group C3: Slovakia, Belarus, Azerbaijan & (Kazakhstan or Moldova)

Group C4: Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Georgia & Gibraltar

The four group winners are promoted to League B, with the four sides that finish bottom relegated to League D for the 2024-25 edition.

League D

Group D1: Liechtenstein, (Kazakhstan or Moldova), Andorra & Latvia

Group D2: Malta, (Cyprus or Estonia) & San Marino

The two group winners are promoted to League C for the 2024-25 edition.
