  • The US Women are in pursuit of their 10th World Cup Title and have opened at +225.
  • England is widely viewed as the top challenger to the Americans at +300.
  • Spain, Germany, and France are all sub 10:1 to win.

The 2023 Women's World Cup will be held in Australia and New Zealand. The matches will be held at ten separate venues in nine host cities. The first match will kick off on July 20th and the Women's World Cup Final will be held on August 20th in Sydney, Australia. Oddsmakers have hung futures on every team set to compete in the World Cup next month. Six of the 32 teams have odds at +1000 or shorter, while 15 countries enter with odds in excess of +10000. The favorites include the United States (+225), England (+300), Spain (+600), Germany (+700), and France (+900). The United States won the last Women's World Cup in 2019, defeating the Netherlanders 2-0. England made the semifinals, falling 2-1 to the United States, while Germany and France were both bounced in the quarterfinals 2-1 by Sweden and the United States, respectively. Spain made it to the Knockout Round at the last World Cup but was swiftly bounced by the US 2-1.

The two host countries, Australia and New Zealand, can be found at +1000 and +10000, respectively. Australia is making its ninth World Cup appearance and has found decent success in the last twenty years. In 2007, 2011, and 2015 the Aussies reached the Quarterfinals. New Zealand, on the other hand, is looking to advance out of the Group Stage for the first time. Fortunately for New Zealand, they find themselves in Group A. Far from the Group of Death, New Zealand is joined by Norway, Phillippines, and Switzerland. In the FIFA Women's Soccer World Rankings, Norway checks in at 12th, Switzerland 20th, New Zealand 26th, and Phillippines 46th. So this gives New Zealand their best chance at cracking the Knockout Round since they first made the World Cup in 1991.
