  • Earlier this week, Will Levis was +4000 to go first overall.
  • His odds plummeted to +400 after a Reddit post alleged that Levis had informed his family he would be selected first by Carolina.
  • Bryce Young is still the favorite to go number one overall at -2000.

The NFL Draft's first round will be held tonight in Kansas City, Missouri. This year's draft has been particularly difficult to predict given the weak quarterback class and the teams' tight-lipped approach. For that reason, sportsbooks have been playing catchup with rumors for the past week, significantly adjusting odds. To that end, here are the latest odds for which player will hear his name when Roger Goodell steps to the microphone to announce the Carolina Panthers' first pick.

First Overall Pick In 2023 NFL Draft

Player Moneyline Probability
Bryce Young -2000 95.24%
Will Levis +800 11.11%
C.J. Stroud +1200 7.69%
Anthony Richardson
+5000 1.96%
Will Anderson +10000 0.99%
Jalen Carter +10000
0.99%
Paris Johnson Jr. +10000
0.99%
Tyree Wilson +10000
0.99%
Jaxon Smith-Njigba +25000 0.4%
Peter Skoronski +25000 0.4%
Nolan Smith
+25000 0.4%
Bijan Robinson +25000 0.4%
Michael Mayer +25000 0.4%

When odds opened in this market, C.J. Stroud was listed as a -250 favorite to come off the board first. Since then he's fallen back to the third-lowest odds (+1200). Stroud's tumble down the board coincided with his poor cognitive testing score. The Ohio State quarterback allegedly scored an 18% on the S2 cognition test, which evaluates a player's ability to process information and how quickly and decisively they make decisions. Bryce Young has been the beneficiary of Stroud's stock dip, with the former Heisman winner now sitting at -2000 to go to Carolina. Will Levis did see his odds drop this week from +4000 to +400 in the wake of an anonymous Reddit post that claimed he was told by Carolina he would be draft first overall. The market has corrected a bit since that "news" broke with Levis' odds falling back to +800.
