  • Lucky Club Casino will become a casino aimed at the Latino audience
  • The partnership between Ojos Locos and Fifth Street Gaming takes place in Vegas
  • The new casino is believed to be the first entirely Latino-focused casino in America

The well-known Ojos Locos restaurant company, which already has 22 places in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, will soon open its first location in Nevada and what its owners believe would be the nation's first casino and hotel with a Latino-focused theme.

Beginning on Tuesday morning is the initiative that will result in the first casino in the US that caters to Latinos.

Ojos Locos and Fifth Street Gaming

The Lucky Club, close to the Interstate 15 exit for Cheyenne Avenue, will change its name to Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino at Hotel Jefe. On Tuesday morning, there was a ceremony to initiate the start of the project.

The Lucky Club & Casino at 3277 Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas will be renovated and rebranded as the first Latino-focused casino and hotel in the country, thanks to a partnership between North Las Vegas-based Fifth Street Gaming and Dallas-based sports bar chain Ojos Locos Cantina.

Before the year is out, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino at Hotel Jefe is anticipated to open. This will be the first location of the renowned Ojos Locos restaurant in Nevada. Fifth Street Gaming and the Ojos Locos Sports Cantina chain are working together to create the casino, as mentioned above.

A 10,000-square-foot casino, 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor entertainment space, and a restaurant with seating for roughly 300 people will all be located on the renovated property. It will continue to host Mexican rodeos, cuisine festivals, and performances by Latino musicians.

Whether Ojos Locos Sports Cantina y Casino will enter the online gambling markets in states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania, which has a significant Spanish population, remains to be seen in the future.

Importance of the Latin Community in Las Vegas

Ojos Locos gained popularity as a chain by showcasing Latino culture. Spanish-language broadcasts of soccer games are shown on TVs, and servers greet diners in the language. This custom will be upheld by the hotel-casino, which will provide Spanish-language entertainment such as concerts, Mexican rodeos, and cuisine festivals.

Hispanics are the second-largest and fastest-growing ethnic group in the US, according to recent research by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management. According to the analysis, Latinos will make up about 29% of the US population by 2060.

And Fifth Street Gaming Digital (FSG Digital), which was established at the beginning of the year in collaboration with Jefebet.com, the online venture for Latino-focused sports betting, gaming, and entertainment, began with the importance of the Latino community in mind.

The interactive division of Fifth Street Gaming will use Jefebet.com to deliver "useful and proprietary media content for the Latino community" in the US, to support the iGaming and interactive sports betting businesses.

FSG Digital will generate Spanish-language podcasts, video material, and other kinds of media through strategic partnerships throughout 2022 to provide industry content for the 63 million Spanish speakers in the US.
