  • Max Verstappen opened the season at -130 and those odds have shifted to -1600 after four wins.
  • Sergio PĂ©rez is the only other driver with wins this season (Saudi Arabian and Azerbaijan Grand Prix).
  • Fernando Alonso continues to impress with five top-three finishes in six attempts.

In the past two and a half years, Max Verstappen has participated in 50 F1 races, winning 29 of them. He has become the gold standard in the sport since 2021, and he's helped Oracle Red Bull Racing become synonymous with racing itself. Just six races into the season and Verstappen has already opened up a 39-point lead over Sergio Pérez. Pérez is the only other F1 racer to win this season, having nabbed the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This has helped Pérez solidify his position behind Verstappen in the future market, at least in the eyes of sportsbooks

The Spanish and Canadian Grand Prix are on deck and represent Pérez's best chance of making this a real fight for the top spot. The Mexican driver nearly upset Verstappen last year in Catalonia, Spain, and is looking for redemption in Montréal after crashing at last year's Canadian Grand Prix.

As for the rest of the field, Fernando Alonso has been banging on the door with four third-place finishes and a second-place finish to his name through six races in 2023. If he were to pull off a monumental upset in Spain (+1100), you could see his odds fall from +3300 into the lower teens overnight.
