2024 Starlet Stakes Preview

Scheduled to take place in December of each year at the Los Alamitos racecourse is the Starlet Stakes, a Grade I race that is restricted to two-year-old fillies only and is contested over a distance of one and one-sixteenth miles. Originally run at Hollywood Park, the inaugural running was in 1979 and it was moved to Los Alamitos when the Hollywood Park racetrack was closed in 2013. Because of the timing of the race, you can often expect runners who competed in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies to come and run in this race.
