The Major League Soccer, better known as the MLS is an American soccer league that was first established in 1993 and includes three teams from Canada. There are 28 MLS teams, the newest addition being Charlotte FC who joined the MLS in 2022.

The regular season schedule is split into leagues, the Western Conference and Eastern Conference which resembles other American sports as we see with the NBA picks. The overall highest points scorer of the two Conferences is crowned with the Supporters Shield while the outright winner of the MLS Cup Final via the MLS Play-Offs is crowned the MLS Cup Champions.

During the regular season, each team plays the other teams in the Conference home and away, plus there are eight inter-conference games totaling a thirty-four-game regular season.

As of 2019, the top seven from each Conference advance into the MLS Cup Play-Offs. The winner of each Conference receives a bye in the first Play-Off stage and advances to a semi-final slot. The Western Conference Play-Off winner will play the Eastern Conference Play-Off winner in the MLS Cup Final.
