Although initially entered for the Grand National, Mullins scrapped those plans early this month. All set and confirmed for Cheltenham, where he will strive to defend his title in the Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle. Trainer Henry de Bromhead states the 11-year-old is in "fantastic shape" and has proven to be a "true warrior" throughout his training. To accommodate his age, he has purposely had a lighter campaign, with his only appearance this season being a commendable 2nd-place finish behind Teahupoo in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown. He heads into this race with an impeccable 4-for-4 record at Cheltenham, which includes three prior Festival wins. A pretty solid each-way at fair odds.
