The battle is back on between Lossiemouth and Brighterdayshead. Brighterdayshead currently holds the mantle after a three-length win at Leopardstown in February on heavy ground. Lossiemouth had the bragging rights earlier under similar terms on good ground at the same location in December. The ground is potentially the answer to this conundrum, and with a lack of rain, it might well tip to Lossiemouth this time.

Won over this distance at Haydock last time out, making it seven in his career, with three of those coming at Aintree, which is a really tough place to go. Worth noting that one of those Aintree wins was at a very high weight, although at a short distance and on firmer ground. Took third at Cheltenham in January last year on the soft and offers great each-way value for this.

Backed this little monkey on the ante-post at 12/1 towards December after running brilliantly to take 2nd last year with a lack of experience, and then destroying the field the last four times. Kopek is a very decent horse, so it's between these two. I still think Lulamba has a bit more for this.

Mullins will potentially want to hit the ground running and has his best on board here. No ceiling yet for this horse, winning by a clear nine lengths in a field of fourteen on heavy ground at Leopardstown in January and still very progressive. Could be too good.
