Will be fitter for that run, and the drop back down in class will be much more favourable. Beaten by a very game horse at Leicester back in October in a race similar to this, and only a pound higher here.

Apart from a Class One attempt at Ascot, this horse has placed in all three of its other runs, including a latest third at Doncaster. It was rallying that day towards the end but unable to nick it in a field of ten runners, coming off the back of a 203-day break. It drops three pounds for that run and should be much fitter this time.

Gave a decent account at this distance before in better company back at Yarmouth in October, and comes here on a much lower mark. Sixth latest at Wolverhampton, but was coming back from a break. The gelding's previous outing should definitely help here.
