Difficult second of eight runners. Latest at Lingfield when speeding past the pack but unable to catch the leader, who was just too good on the day. Similar story at Leicester back in October when beaten a short head on a much higher mark. Goes off on a similar mark here to last time and keeps the visor, which seems to produce his best runs. The step back up to a mile looks ideal.

Came back after 243 days off the track following the first two career runs to place 2nd of six runners at Newcastle. Beat an odds-on favourite that day but was pipped by the 2nd favourite on the back of a previous win. Expected to build on the last run, especially since having a gelding operation.

Form has been poor lately, but it was a similar story this time last year when having a bad day at Yarmouth and then turning up to win this race off a higher mark. Brighton tends to bring better form out of this horse, so it's worth an each-way punt.
