Defiance1982's Tips

20th June 2026
14:30 2:30 Royal Ascot

Carry The Flag

Daily Racing

50 WIN

This combination of jockey and trainer have now won six times together at this festival, including two on Friday. Finished twice in 2nd at Curragh and won at Naas in between, so I'd say the stamina is virtually proven.
15:05 3:05 Royal Ascot

Goliath

Daily Racing

25 EW

Won easily at Chantilly latest by two lengths. Coming here on some decent form on travels. Last run here was back in 2024 when winning the King George VI.
15:40 3:40 Royal Ascot

Satono Reve

Daily Racing

50 WIN

2nd latest behind potentially one of the best horses in the world, Ka Ying Rising, but only by four lengths. Won previous to that in Japan. Last run at Ascot was here last year when pipped by half a length. Only a pound higher this time around.
16:20 4:20 Royal Ascot

The Prettiest Star

Daily Racing

25 EW

Four-length win in a Class 5 run at Nottingham on debut, before a half-length 2nd in Class 1 company at Newmarket. Back there again for the 1000 Guineas in May following a 219-day break, taking 4th, but 2nd in one of the two groups making up nineteen runners. Should be fitter for that run here.
17:00 5:00 Royal Ascot

Binhareer

Daily Racing

25 EW

Won by two lengths in a field of nineteen runners at York in the Coral Sprint Trophy. Second latest there by just a neck among twenty-two runners this time when just held on the line despite coming back from a 214-day break. Great chance here if continuing the form.
17:35 5:35 Royal Ascot

Perisher

Daily Racing

25 EW

1st of fifteen runners at Gowran among fifteen runners before a convincing three-length victory at Naas latest. Gelded back in January, which seems to be reaping the results. Big jockey booking for this.
18:00 Netherlands v Sweden

Netherlands

50 WIN

Sweden have won just once in their last three, with that win coming against a very poor Tunisia side who still managed to get on the scoresheet. Netherlands have lost just once in their last thirteen matches.

Over 2.50

Total Goals

150 WIN

There have been at least three goals in all of Sweden's last five games. There have been at least three goals in the last five matches for the Netherlands.

Yes

Both Teams to Score

127 WIN

Both sides have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five matches. Sweden average nearly three goals per game in those matches, while the Netherlands are favourites to win.

Netherlands & Yes

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

Both sides are very likely to score based on their current trends, but it's tight to call who will win. Netherlands have a solid World Cup record and are looking to break the record for the longest run of unbeaten games. I believe the favourites will just pip this.

Netherlands #2-1

50 WIN

Netherlands have scored twice in their last two matches and conceded in both games. Sweden have scored and conceded in all their last seven, but face a side beaten once since March 2025.
18:10 6:10 Royal Ascot

A Piece Of Heaven

Daily Racing

25 EW

Won at Chester following two 2nd-place finishes back in Ireland. This is a bit further, but the stamina is there and is on a fair mark.
18:55 6:55 Doncaster

Three Non Blondes

Daily Racing

100 EWNAP

Trying turf for the first time, but did win at both Chelmsford and Wolverhampton, with a very close 2nd at Newcastle, parked in the middle. 5th latest at Newcastle when returning from a 63-day break, but was in much higher company than usual. The drop back to Class Four will be much welcomed here for the new yard.
21:00 Germany v Ivory Coast

Germany

50 WIN

Germany have won their last ten matches on the bounce, and they have won four of their last five matches against African opposition.

Germany & Yes

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

Both sides have won their last five matches, but Germany's run extends to September 2025. Ivory Coast were not very convincing against Ecuador, but they are still unbeaten in their last three. Germany have the class within the side to win this.

Germany #2-1

50 WIN

Germany have conceded in four of their last five matches but did win them all. Ivory Coast have won their last five, so this will be a tight game.
21st June 2026
01:00 Ecuador v Curacao

Ecuador & Yes

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

Curaçao have led in their last three matches with a decent first half before imploding in the second half when they tend to run out of steam. I will follow that trend here and hope to see Curaçao get another for their fans.

Ecuador #3-1

50 WIN

Must-win game for both sides, but Ecuador are a much stronger side. Curaçao scored against Germany in their 7-1 drubbing, but Ecuador have never been all that convincing on the World Cup stage. I think they will get the job done, though.
05:00 Tunisia v Japan

Japan

150 WIN

Japan are favorites to win, which is a given considering that Tunisia have lost their last three, twice by five goals. Japan have won four of the last five head-to-head meetings and will be looking to build on the draw against the Netherlands.

Japan #2-0

50 WIN

Japan have won 2-0 in three of their last five meetings against Tunisia. I can't see the African side getting anything here after a 5-1 defeat against Sweden, which led to the sacking of their manager.
15:45 Dutch Ladies Open

Dorthea Forbrigd

25 EW

Missed this tournament last year, but a steady improver here the past two years, finishing 7th in 2023 and 5th in 2024. Came 5th in the Jabra Ladies Open two weeks ago.
22:45 Meijer LPGA Classic

Carlota Ciganda

25 EW

Decent form here, placing top twenty the last three times in this tournament. I tipped her last year and she went on to win this at a big price, finishing one clear of Choi Hye-Jin. Sixth in the Riviera Maya Open back in April.
22:45 US Open

Sam Burns

25 EW

A couple of bad rounds, but still managed 9th back in 2024. Took 7th last year when unable to hold the top spot on the last day after a shocking last-round eight-over. Decent each-way value if a bit better this year.
26th June 2026
12:00 World Cup 2026 Group D

Turkiye

Group Betting

50 WIN

Turkey are a strong side that like to get forward and put pressure on their opponents. We saw them make a decent effort back in 2024 in the Euros, so I think they will put in a good effort in the group stages. I can't see Australia, Paraguay, or the USA putting up a big challenge here. The latter, with home advantage, will probably take second.
12:00 World Cup 2026 Group F

Sweden

Group Betting

50 WIN

With both Györkös and Isak up front, Sweden will have the firepower this year to make them better contenders. There is something not quite right about the Netherlands this year, and Tunisia are not great overall to put in a challenge. Japan I can see being the threat, but they haven't beaten Sweden for a while now after a number of matches.
19th July 2026
12:00 World Cup 2026

Portugal

50 WIN

Finished in the quarter-finals in both their last World Cup and Euros efforts, losing 1-0 to Morocco and beaten on penalties by France, respectively. With this being Ronaldo's potential last World Cup for his country, we might see just that little bit more from a side that deal with fine margins.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Top Goalscorer

50 WIN

With Messi and Argentina winning the last World Cup, I think we might see a more inspired Ronaldo looking to do the same with Portugal this year in potentially his last World Cup. With Congo and Uzbekistan both joining them and Colombia in the group, this will be a great opportunity for this talisman to rack up a few goals before potentially meeting a third-place side like Paraguay to apply his trade.
