Defiance1982's Tips

21st June 2026
15:45 Dutch Ladies Open

Dorthea Forbrigd

25 EW

Missed this tournament last year, but a steady improver here the past two years, finishing 7th in 2023 and 5th in 2024. Came 5th in the Jabra Ladies Open two weeks ago.

Added tongue-tie and drop to seven furlongs seemed to have done the trip last run on this ground when a length off 5th of eight runners. Hit traffic that day, which stopped the momentum towards the line. If the second run here is anything to go by, with a further drop of three pounds, this is clearly the one to beat.
17:00 Spain v Saudi Arabia

Spain #3-0

50 WIN

Spain need to get a result after their shock 0-0 draw with Cape Verde. I believe this will be similar to Brazil, who also drew their first game with Morocco and went on to win their next game 3-0.
20:00 Belgium v Iran

Belgium

76 WIN

Iran have won just one of their ten World Cup fixtures against European sides. Belgium will be looking to get off the mark properly here after a 1-1 draw with Egypt. They remain unbeaten in their last fourteen matches.

Belgium #2-0

50 WIN

Iran’s last five fixtures saw at least one goal scored in each half, but I am finding it hard to see Iran scoring here. So I believe the trend will continue in Belgium's favour.
22:45 Meijer LPGA Classic

Carlota Ciganda

25 EW

Decent form here, placing top twenty the last three times in this tournament. I tipped her last year and she went on to win this at a big price, finishing one clear of Choi Hye-Jin. Sixth in the Riviera Maya Open back in April.
22:45 US Open

Sam Burns

25 EW

A couple of bad rounds, but still managed 9th back in 2024. Took 7th last year when unable to hold the top spot on the last day after a shocking last-round eight-over. Decent each-way value if a bit better this year.
23:00 Uruguay v Cape Verde

Uruguay

50 WIN

Cape Verde might be most people's favorite underdog, but will need to put in a performance again here against Uruguay, who need a win to get their campaign underway. With just one defeat in their last ten matches, I feel the South Americans will just about get the job done.

Uruguay #1-0

50 WIN

Cape Verde held strong at the back to get a 0-0 draw with Spain, so I'm expecting a strong performance again against a side that have managed just three goals in their last five games.
22nd June 2026
02:00 New Zealand v Egypt

Egypt

50 WIN

Egypt have beaten New Zealand twice in three matches (drawing the other), including a 1-0 win back in 2024. New Zealand have won just once in their last twelve matches.

Egypt #1-0

50 WIN

Egypt should nick this on paper, but they have failed to win any of their eight World Cup appearances so far. I believe they will get a goal and win by the same scoreline as when these sides met last time back in 2024.
26th June 2026
12:00 World Cup 2026 Group D

Turkiye

Group Betting

50 WIN

Turkey are a strong side that like to get forward and put pressure on their opponents. We saw them make a decent effort back in 2024 in the Euros, so I think they will put in a good effort in the group stages. I can't see Australia, Paraguay, or the USA putting up a big challenge here. The latter, with home advantage, will probably take second.
12:00 World Cup 2026 Group F

Sweden

Group Betting

50 WIN

With both Györkös and Isak up front, Sweden will have the firepower this year to make them better contenders. There is something not quite right about the Netherlands this year, and Tunisia are not great overall to put in a challenge. Japan I can see being the threat, but they haven't beaten Sweden for a while now after a number of matches.
19th July 2026
12:00 World Cup 2026

Portugal

50 WIN

Finished in the quarter-finals in both their last World Cup and Euros efforts, losing 1-0 to Morocco and beaten on penalties by France, respectively. With this being Ronaldo's potential last World Cup for his country, we might see just that little bit more from a side that deal with fine margins.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Top Goalscorer

50 WIN

With Messi and Argentina winning the last World Cup, I think we might see a more inspired Ronaldo looking to do the same with Portugal this year in potentially his last World Cup. With Congo and Uzbekistan both joining them and Colombia in the group, this will be a great opportunity for this talisman to rack up a few goals before potentially meeting a third-place side like Paraguay to apply his trade.
