Both sides won their opening matches, and Mexico have a good record against South Korea, winning three of their last four meetings. South Korea gave a battling performance to win against Czechia, so I'm expecting them to get something here.

Mexico are not the best of finishers, with their two goals against South Africa coming with the help of the referee sending off two South African players in their 2-0 win. South Korea put two past Czechia, and I can see them pegging back the hosts here.

Turkey are a strong side that like to get forward and put pressure on their opponents. We saw them make a decent effort back in 2024 in the Euros, so I think they will put in a good effort in the group stages. I can't see Australia, Paraguay, or the USA putting up a big challenge here. The latter, with home advantage, will probably take second.

There is something not quite right about the Netherlands this year, and Tunisia are not great overall to put in a challenge. With Messi and Argentina winning the last World Cup, I think we might see a more inspired Ronaldo looking to do the same with Portugal this year in potentially his last World Cup. With Congo and Uzbekistan both joining them and Colombia in the group, this will be a great opportunity for this talisman to rack up a few goals before potentially meeting a third-place side like Paraguay to apply his trade.
