Wrappedupinmay

Daily Racing

Wrapped Up In May was taken out of the Hunter's Chase at the Cheltenham Festival due to the going not having enough cut. Fairyhouse going should be on the soft side of good, and Wrapped Up In May should perform to his best. He has won his last two points, reversing a defeat by Hunters Yarn first time out, and then having a comfortable win at Carrigarostig in January. He has had a break since then.

Kappa Jy Pyke

Daily Racing

Danny Mullins has ridden Kappa Jy Pyke for both his chase wins. The first was running down big odds on stablemate Salvator Mundi on the run-in at Thurles. He then comfortably won a Grade 3 chase, beating both Jacob's Ladder and Predators Gold, who reoppose. He has had an 84-day break since then, but so far his chasing form has been far above what he achieved over hurdles.

It's Party Time. Rules form has little to recommend him: pulled up twice and then beaten off two out, last of 4 at Doncaster last time in the third of his hurdle runs to give a mark of 87 for his first chase, which is not generous. However, there was promise in his former career in Irish points. In his last point he led before 2 out but was a half-length down at the last when running out. He could want further but is likely to be a better chaser than hurdler.
