French import Sober is now a seven-year-old and has just run twice for Willie Mullins last year. A hurdle win at Killarney was comfortable enough despite sketchy jumping, and then an easy win at Royal Ascot in the Queen Alexandra Stakes. He has not run since June, but despite two miles here at Punchestown not showing off his staying abilities, he should win again provided his jumping has improved.

Although now a seven-year-old, hitherto sprinter Scary Fast Ride tried this distance for the very first time in her latest race in November at Del Mar. Drawn in stall 1, she tried to make all and stacked the other four runners, which included Lolo Le Plume, behind her. She was only collared in the last furlong, with the first four finishing within a length of each other, and even the last horse was right behind, having nowhere to go. Lolo Le Plume was a three-year-old in November and, as such, was receiving three pounds from Scary Fast Ride. Here they are at level weights, and if Scary Fast Ride breaks well she could make all.
