Mister Coffey won three of his first four races: a bumper and two hurdle races. Despite lots of races since over fences, he is still to win a chase but has had plenty of second places. In recent times he has been running in cross-country chases and now tries his first hunter chase. As a maiden he gets weight from some horses he is rated much higher than, and with Daniel Williams taking off a further seven pounds he really should win. Although at times his resolution in a close finish has been questioned.
