Gringo D'Aubrelle was a point winner in 2020 and then became a decent novice hurdler early in the 2021??"22 season before injury put him out for 1,020 days. He reappeared last year as a chaser without getting placed, his best being fourth in four chases. He came back this season last month in a handicap hurdle here, finishing 5th of 19, beaten eleven and a half lengths, and should improve for the run. He is out of the handicap here, but Michael Kenneally takes off his seven-pound allowance.

Lulamba has gone chasing successfully this year as a four-year-old, and his only defeat so far was his narrow loss in last year’s Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham. This is a stepping stone toward this year’s Arkle Chase at Cheltenham, and he should win.
