He ran into the back of the horse, then went over the stricken jockey and into the side of another runner, losing several lengths before resuming his hopeless chase in 3rd but was not knocked about, dropping to 4th. He could do much better in a similar race.

A two-pound drop in his mark and a move up to three miles with the assistance of Sam Twiston-Davies should see him win.

His last win was two and a half years ago in his first chase, where he won making all over two miles at Warwick off 123. But he was a close 2nd twice at Huntingdon a year ago over two and a half miles and just under three miles.

He won his last two races in April impressively, so he could outpoint Fact To File first time out.
