He was tried unsuccessfully in two staying hurdles last year and was initially tried in a three-mile chase but was weakening when unseating late on after making the running. He has been dropped in distance twice, running his best race last time when second at Stratford over two miles, and could win this time wearing first-time cheekpieces.

Unknown Entity should lose his maiden tag here against weak opposition. Wearing a first-time hood and tongue-strap combination, Dan Skelton's gelding will find this much easier than last time, when he was 5th of 17 in a hot handicap hurdle at Sandown.

Held up, he was hampered when the favourite unseated early on. Then he made a mistake at the 2nd last and found little when asked for his effort, finishing in fourth place. Dropped two pounds to a mark of 80, more is expected of him by both Dan and Harry Skelton.
