The bends at Punchestown are very tight, and this can suit Hipop De Loire. He has shown smart flat form, winning in Listed class in Germany before moving to the stable of W. P. Mullins. The horse has gone close in the last two Ebor Handicaps and, last year, placed third in the Group 2 Doncaster Cup. He has won going right-handed on the undulations at Galway, so Punchestown can suit. The going was good on that occasion, and drying ground can also suit. The stable saddled a treble yesterday.

Dartmouth Jet is a big price for a horse who has won a race from three starts. That victory came in a National Hunt Flat race, so stamina looks assured for this 12-furlong flat race. Senor Campanaro is one from one in 7-furlong handicaps on a straight track. He achieved little in three maiden/novice stakes and was a comfortable winner of a handicap last time out. Willewonga

Daily Racing

Trainer J J O'Shea has won this race twice and landed the Cheltenham Festival Hunters' Chase last month. He targets Aintree, so Willewonga cannot be entirely ruled out at very big odds, despite looking like he has it all to do at the weights. The horse needs to improve on his performance in this race last year, when he finished behind a winning stable companion and weakened four out after being hampered earlier. He stays well and has won a Hunters' Chase over today's distance at Cartmel. He has won on good and soft ground.

Gloriola has her second outing in handicaps, having dropped four pounds in the weights. She also goes up in distance to just over one mile. Her best performance of her four outings has been over the longest distance, 7.5 furlongs on a sound surface, when she only weakened late and was beaten just over four lengths. The filly raced prominently on that occasion, and similar tactics at Nottingham can suit with the sharp bend causing a steady pace. Gloriola's dam placed second in a Listed race when upped in trip to one mile, her second and only start. Gloriola is half-sister to two winners who have achieved a level of form at least twenty pounds higher, including Gaius, who improved with an increased trip when placing at Nottingham in April of his three-year-old season. Drying ground can suit today. Trainer Steph Hollinshead saddled a second-placed runner at 16/1 in a handicap yesterday.
