Zarakerjack has shown promising form in his two hurdle races, both going right-handed. His best effort under flat rules was also on a right-handed track, and Leicester can suit. This colt is by the sire Zarak, who is a positive influence on soft ground, and today's going can suit. Zarakerjack makes his handicap debut and, as the only four-year-old in the field, receives a thirteen-pound allowance. Assuming he handles the heavy ground, he could be well in at the weights, carrying 10-12. Jockey Freddie Mitchell claims an additional three-pound allowance. The stable of Gary and Josh Moore have saddled two winners in the last week.

Shantou Show needs to regain the form he showed in hunter chases. On that form, he is well suited by today's yielding conditions and the step up to three miles. Formerly rated 120, the horse races off a mark of 103 today. His best chasing performance came on this track.

Pebble Dash makes the long journey from Lanarkshire. Noted making headway and running on in the closing stages of his latest two outings, it is hoped that the step up in distance will bring improvement today.
