Will Teasle's Tips

26th January 2026
13:10 1:10 Punchestown

Cherry Pink

Daily Racing

100 EW

Cherry Pink is another flat-bred type who could go well on her hurdling debut on this track, which has a particularly sharp bend that is against long-striding types. Cherry Pink has won five flat races and is from an excellent family, being related down the damline to the multiple Group 1 winner Nayef and to Derby winner Nashwan. Hurdles are an unknown, but her flat speed could mean a good run here.

Sylkie

Daily Racing

50 WINNAP

Sylkie is a three-time winner on the right-handed, undulating track at Galway. Punchestown's similar characteristics can suit this mare. She has won on heavy ground. The Punchestown hurdles track is sharper than the chase course, and Sylkie, who is a flat-bred type, may well go better at today's minimum trip.

Kibris

Daily Racing

100 WIN

Kibris, with a record of 2-4-3 in maiden hurdles, makes his handicap debut. This horse represents the powerful connections of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede. Whether his handicap mark is good or not isn't known yet, but this flat-bred type may well be suited by Punchestown. His trainer, Joseph Patrick O'Brien, saddled a winner with his latest runner before today.
13:50 1:50 Plumpton

Canopus

Daily Racing

200 EW

Canopus, who has shown ability by placing second twice in his four flat outings, makes his hurdling debut. The minimum trip on the sharp Plumpton track can suit. Caoilin Quinn, with two winners and six placed horses from his last twelve rides, is in the saddle, and the partnership can make the places at an each-way price.

Aines Lad

Daily Racing

100 WIN

Aine's Lad paid the price for placing 4/34 in maiden hurdles, as he has found life tougher in seven-runner handicap hurdles. It is hoped that the horse can start to show better form now that his official rating has dropped by 17 lb. Aine's Lad is a half-brother to Neon Moon, winner of nine races over obstacles. With the stamina in his pedigree, the step up in distance today can suit.

John Storey

Daily Racing

100 EW

John Storey won a 24.5-furlong handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse a year ago, proving his stamina and ability to handle a big field and soft ground. The horse rose in the weights following that success but is now one pound lower than his winning mark. His new stable saddled a recent winner.

Frank Stamper

Daily Racing

500 WIN

Renewable Dream

Daily Racing

200 WIN

Renewable Dream drops in class and has also dropped in the weights. The horse paid the price for placing in a Class 4 Newcastle novice event but has been eased three pounds by the handicapper. Renewable Dream had been showing improved form in August and September. His latest outing came after a break of more than three months and may have been needed. The horse raced prominently for his two third-placed efforts in autumn, and similar tactics can suit today as he exits stall 1. Renewable Dream is still a maiden but is related to some useful types down the dam line, including dual Group 1 winner Lethal Force. Renewable Dream drops in distance to 7 furlongs, and this can suit. His half-brother Dubai Time has recorded both his wins over today's trip. Trainer Seb Spencer has saddled a recent winner.
