Caughtinyourtrance recorded a career-best effort on his latest outing in December when going down by a neck over today's distance at Haydock. The horse stays and acts on a soft surface, so is given an outside chance as an improver.

Country Code was a big improver in December when stepping up in trip to 22.5 furlongs at Kelso. Going up in distance again today can suit, as he has a stamina-packed pedigree and goes well on a soft surface. The stable has a good 21% strike rate in hurdles this season.

Beach Partee returns to Lingfield where he is 1-1 over today's course and distance. Luke Morris was in the saddle for all three of his wins and retains the ride. With a standout, career-best performance here, Beach Partee can make the places at an each-way price.

Pottersville has his third outing over hurdles. The horse looked like a big improver at Exeter in November, winning easily over 23 furlongs on a soft surface. He was not so good next time at Windsor, but he dropped in distance and the going was good. Upped in distance to 24.5 furlongs today with conditions suiting, Pottersville can get in the places at big odds.

Latenightpass has a very good record in this type of event. His record in the Aintree Foxhunters is 2-1-4. At Cheltenham he has won and placed three times over today's cross-country course. Not so good here in December, but he lost a shoe and the going was good, and he has been better here on soft ground. Today's conditions will suit. The horse's record in points and rules races in the month of January is 1-1-1-1-U. Miss Gina Andrews is the regular rider and is in the saddle today. Although a thirteen-year-old, the veteran Latenightpass may still have a good run in him and can make one of the five places at big odds.

Docpickedme has run his best races at Doncaster, including landing this prize last season. Just two pounds higher on official ratings and with a recent course and distance success under his belt, Docpickedme can go close again. He has won on a soft surface.

As Legends Have It was going well when falling three out last month. Prior to that, he had not finished outside the first three places in any of his ten races. The horse is unexposed at three miles and goes well on soft ground. His stable has saddled several recent winners.

Kamsinas equalled his career-best hurdling performance in a Grade 2 hurdle at Cheltenham earlier this month. He takes a big step up in trip today but has placed second on three of the four occasions that he has raced at three miles-plus. Kamsinas has run well on a soft surface. His stable is going well with several recent winners.
