Was just 6th/16 at Epsom last week, but only just under 2 lengths behind the winner, and that was a tougher race than this. Lightly raced and unexposed, and after running on strong last time out (and was possibly unlucky in running, was hard to see), this 6f today should suit even better. Down to this class 4 race today, but still competitive. I think GK could come out on top today, but is a very decent each-way chance and should have been my nap.

Going to have to chance this one from the same trainer as my tip in the first race with this claimer riding. Makes handicap debut off bottom weight and the 7lb claim in a race back in distance over this extended 1m 1f. Probably best race was over the shortest distance on the all-weather (1m 3f) when 4th behind one that is near the head of the market here today, Woodshaw Whisper, who has to give a stone and a half with the claim. Shame about the non-runners or might be a decent each way, but also a possibility the going won't suit, so just a small wager.

Not really sure what happened last time out on the second handicap race, but did well over course and distance on handicap debut the race before when a decent 2nd. Won over course and distance last September, so maybe just likes the track here and the going today also appears to suit.

A non-runner has just pulled out, but you can still get this 10-1 price, which in my opinion is very generous. Came 2nd last time out and lost on the nod in a tight finish. Wasn't well positioned with roughly a furlong to go and had to come from off the rail and around to get a run. Has run in a race on yielding/soft and did okay, so I'm hoping conditions, although not the best, are not a concern.

The Dias runner that won at a big price last time out does look like the one to beat, but is top weight. There are a few in here that might do well at a price: my win tip Bamako, handicap debutantes Givehertilxmas and Ethereal Star (with the latter down 3 furlongs in distance), and my tip here Boyne Valley, who has just gone out to 50-1, so maybe not the right choice. However, a drifting price has never put me off, and on last year's form in her last two races, both 3rd, she should be more competitive second up this season. Clearly lacked race fitness last time out as she was running well in 4th but was wide on the turn in and faded after that, and that was in a higher grade race, so this should suit better today.

I tipped this LTO on its second run and thought it might do better than debut because of the claimer being used, who had had a big-priced winner and place for this trainer, but came 9th/10 by some distance. Looking at the race, it was traveling well for some time, but when they all kicked for home, there was nothing from the jockey. They just carried on at the same pace. That was up in distance from the debut, 7f from 5f, and I'm not sure whether they are just waiting for a lower mark, or 7f is the wrong distance. But the claimer is riding again today, so I must follow up my hunch and have another small EW. Interested to see how it runs and what race it's entered in next.

Away from the head of the market, there are still a few in here that i like and imo have a decent chance of winning. I've gone with another Clive Cox pick, to go with my win tip, in Diligently who ran really well first up at Chester to come 2nd and should be sharper today. It was a close call between 60g'sbaby, Brigids Cloak and even American Style looks good for a place.

I think The Dragon King is a decent win tip for this race at a big 33-1 price. Has shown what he can do last year, winning 3 times, but it was the class 2 sales race on seasons bow that showed what talent he has when he's in the mood. Wasn't at the races on seasonal debut this year and blinkers are now tried in the hope of settling him better. Trainer won this race last year and TDK will either do well or blow out.

I couldn't decide between this one and my ew pick, so will use this one as my win tip. This one has been a little more inconsistent for this yard, but has been running in class 2 races and over different distances. Back in class 3 today and over this nearly 1.5 miles trip suits all round and was a decent 2nd at Ascot two races ago over this distance. Ew for betting.

I wasn't going to bother with this race, but there is so much value in it, i can't leave it. This was only a couple of lengths behind Maghlaak lto over c & d and is still sitting on a nice mark and will like the going, so looks a decent ew shout imo at 20-1.

Went off on debut at low odds so that run must have been a disappointment for connections. Will take a chance that the excitement of that first run has calmed and that this shorter 5f trip today will also help, which imo will.

I like the Cuba connection here and have a small forecast on them. Have lost the price for this one, so will use this as my win tip. Has found some decent form winning the last two races, the last of which was over 7f. Had only run over 7f once before i believe and tries it again today and could well complete the hattrick. Price is still ok for an ew.

As i mentioned in my win tip, i'm going all Cuban in this race. Surprised at these odds to be fair after a win on the aw in March and another on turf in April, both over todays distance of 7f. Last 3 races have been class 2 and is back in this class 3 today and although over 8f lto in the Thirsk Hunt Cup, did well in that coming 6th/13. This race looks just as competitive tbh, but has been running well over this 7f and looks overpriced to me.

This has clearly been running over the wrong trip and after making h/c debut lto over 1m 4f and 1m 2f the race before, is now running at 8f, which looks the right trip. Three races in a couple of weeks in April didn't look ideal either, but the last of those was a 3rd/11 in a claimer, so maybe can show something here in this race that really isn't that strong.

This one seems to be drifting in the market and i suppose winning a 3 runner race lto isn't enough to convince the market. Won by 23l though and only up 5lb and this race doesn't look great. Also feel this track could benefit as tended to jump left lto.

Going to take a huge risk at a huge price here with Desdemona, who looked a good prospect as a 2yo in all 3 races which ended with a win at Lingfield in a first time tongue tie. Made h/c debut for new stable last month and fell away after initial promise, running up with the pace and came last of 10. On that 2yo form this should not be 110-1, but the risk here is that the jockey reported that something wasn't quite right with the horse and that's the gamble here. Could have just been as simple as fitness, but if it was something else, has it fixed itself or been fixed, or maybe the horse just had an off day. Either way i'll have a small ew at the price.

I bet on Gotomylovely this morning which is a tracker horse of mine, but didn't tip it on here when i saw it was stepping up to this distance today, which could be a mistake, but the price has gone now and i'm trying this one at a bigger price. Has won over this distance when in France and has had two decent runs this year both coming 3rd. Lto was over shorter and imo not the right trip, so i think now fitter and over todays distance has ew chances. Satin could also run well at a price.

A couple in here that i've bet on recently that have not come off, but not this one who won over c & d last month. Followed that up with a 2nd place in a claimer over 6f and just didn't seem to get the extended 6f lto, but that was just 3 days later, so i'll excuse that. Back over 5f today and although up 9lb from that last win, has a 10lb claimer today.

This looks a wide open race and many with chances, but this one ran really well lto coming 3rd after a long time off the track, so is entitled to come on for that run and at least get another place finish, which it's done quite a lot over the last year.

Beat todays current fav in a group 3 on the aw back in October at 66-1. Next 4 races have made that look like a fluke, but i believe it's the starts that have been the problem. Won that race by getting away quickly and front running, but poor starts have stopped that happening again and appears to only try when at the front. A decent start could make the difference and even if it does, will need to hold on as this does look a tricky race. Another small ew.

Really wasn't far behind a few of these on seasonal debut last month with them having already raced this year. Just looked like lacking race fitness in the closing stages, so should last better today and runs 7f better than all of them, so why this is 33-1 and a couple of them are in single figures makes no sense to me.

I have had some nice payouts on this one over the years and this mark is still workable imo even after winning lto over c & d. Was in decent form through the winter on the aw with plenty of wins that now means a higher aw mark to todays turf mark, so even up 5lb, i believe there is still some wiggle room and have to back it when in such great form. Ew for betting at this price.

I noticed this horse last August in an amatuer jockey's race and noted that it was the best horse in that race and needed a pro jockey. Nto jockey was poor again and i missed the next two races, the last race it won in a class 3 with just 5 runners. Does have his quirks and does hang and likes to have a look around sometimes, but does have something, i've seen it and will give him another chance today at this price, but is near the last chance saloon.

As i was doing my ew tip for this race, i kept being drawn to Perry Mason and didn't know why. I then saw it in my notes with an * next to it, no idea why, but i must have had my reasons, just a shame i forgot to follow up with a comment. It's making h/c debut today and after a 3l 5th/12 on debut last year, has changed stables and had another 7f race and lto over 1m and was returning from over a year off the track, so probably needed both those runs. Is up in distance to this extended 1m 2f race for h/c debut and that always has alarm bells going off for me, so will chance it today. Ew for betting.

I was hoping for 4 places here and that's what we've got. Short priced fav looks the one to be on for win purposes, but is up in distance, as is the current 2nd fav. A few in here with posibilities, but this one made h/c debut last month and did ok in 4th after blowing the start and used a lot of energy getting to the head of the pack. Still had something left at the end suprisingly, but was no match for the winner and imo has possible place chances here at a big price.

I have mentioned before how much I love this horse, who I tipped last time out and really shouldn't have, as it stood no chance at that track of making the late surge we're used to. Drawn in 10 with 16 runners, a case could be made that I should leave it alone this time as well, but I just can't. It's not really a good bet at these odds anyway, so I'm sticking with it. If you're going to follow me off the cliff, please use small stakes.

Should leave this race alone really as there are too many with good chances. I believe the weather is getting worse at this course, which I didn't realize earlier. I said this race should maybe be swerved, and here I am tipping two. I mentioned Pink Socks when it last raced while tipping something else, but advised against it as it was a seasonal debut run. Ran okay before race fitness showed, and the move made with 2.5f to go fizzled out in the last furlong. Might possibly need this race as well, but I'd be gutted if I didn't tip and it ran well, so a small each-way play.

Has had a run over jumps, so has hopefully blown away some cobwebs. He has a decent record at this track with two wins, and this claimer won on him at Navan last year. So, decent each-way chances even if we have lost the price.

I was just re-watching the last race, wondering why Easy's odds were so high and why they appeared to be drifting. Within that 15 minutes, the odds have come down, so I have now lost the 22-25-1. First up LTO in a higher grade 2 to this grade 3 and ran a lot better than the 6th place result, being only about 1.5 lengths down. Should hopefully be fitter as well today and, in my opinion, has winning chances, not just place chances.

Having followed this horse for a while, I was very pleased when a visor went on to help with this horse's general looking around and getting distracted, and it won. It changed hands after that race where two poor runs followed and is now with another who doesn't see the need for headgear, and looking at the last couple of runs, they may be right. Was finishing well last time out coming 5th, and the mark is dropping like a stone, so should be really competitive today.

Second run with cheekpieces and although has 4 lengths to find with current 2nd favorite, didn't have a very clear passage last time out when stuck on the rail waiting for a gap. When it appeared, couldn't or didn't respond. Odds-on favorite is making turf debut and I just think this one might have a bit more to offer this time.

I very nearly put this up earlier, but I have been trying to limit myself to selections on here. At the low odds, I decided not to bother. We now have double-figure odds at 11-1, so not a good sign really. I have just remembered another reason why I didn't tip earlier. That was that after running well last time out without cheekpieces, they are back on today, so maybe that explains the drift. Nearly deleted and cancelled, but have had my nap win already and a very late (with no comment) place at 40-1, so will still chance it.

Handicap debut over 5f today after three races over 7f. It is always something that grabs my attention, especially when there is some speed in their pedigree, as there is here. Ran okay for about 5.5f in the second race and was eased down in the last furlong when having no chance and was drawn in 10 of 10 at Chester last time out, so not too worried about that. This low grade and drop in trip might well be what she needs and is worth an each-way go at 28-1.

Looked like he was going to lack for pace at the start of his debut race and, as is usual for these 2yo, showed plenty of greenness. Was a 50-1 shot as well, but my-o-my, didn't he pick up well at the finish to come 2nd. In my opinion, the jockey seemed to stop riding, then started again in the closing stages and possibly could have won. Unraced favorite seems to be drifting a little and 5-1 looks a big price against it and could be the bet of the day.

Making h/c debut today in what looks quite an open race. Was 3rd over c & d last month on second run and debut was also at this track, so is a plus point that h/c debut is also here. Last run was only 7 days after second and over 6f, which would have helped with this opening mark having come 7th/11 by 12l and should make things easier today.

Making handicap debut for Tony Carroll today and looks friendless in the market. First two runs were over 6f, then 1m, with the third being over today's distance of 1m 2f and seemed to do better in each run or maybe as good in the last two. This field doesn't look the greatest, and the trainer might have found the right race here for the handicap debut and has steered clear of a couple of possible races at his beloved Brighton today. Another small each way.

A horse with loads of speed who just appears to love running fast. Big improver last year, winning 3 times, but still looked a little green in my opinion. It would seem they just let him run, trying to hold him back a little, like on his seasonal debut where he pulled hard and ran out of steam. But that was a Group 2 and a bit optimistic, and it was his first run. Even this class 2 might prove tough, but I'm willing to give him a shot because he didn't seem the finished article last year, in my opinion, and could have improved again.

Hot odds on Gosden's favorite here and currently 10-1 the field. So really, we are looking for two placed horses, and I'm going to try my luck with Gregorians Star at a huge 200-1. Won a bumper on good going and has shown some ability over the sticks, but last time out over just the 1m seemed a little on the short side. To be honest, this could also be too short at 1m 2f, but will have a very small each way anyway.

Was 3rd by a neck in a very close finish last time out. Is back on a workable mark and will relish the conditions today. The last run proves that the form is back, so looks a solid each way.
