Stable has been in decent form and this 12yo has been quite consistent and running better than results are showing like when 5th lto by only about 1.5l. Drops into this class 6 race today and should go close at a nice 20-1 price.

Also going with Von Krolock in this race and i should be doing this as ew probably, but i'm not sure whether they are on a h/c cutting run or not as it seemed lto. The fact this is drifting this morning possibly proves my point and a bad run is coming, but imo is capable of winning this.

I was so sure this would finally break it's turf duck lto and win and was gutted when it didn't and came 2nd. Is on better terms with that rival today (4lb for 3/4l) and will also want to better last years run in this race when 3rd when 8lb higher. Has got to break this turf curse sooner rather than later and i hope it's today.

I still love this beatiful grey horse even though i haven't tipped it the last twice. Has changed hands and was in a claimer lto, but i'm back on him again here even over this 8f trip. Has been a hold up horse who finishes very fast, but usually too late and/or from too far back with too many other horses in it's way and yes, that's been the jockeys fault on many occasions. This track should suit him better than most and indeed has placed here 3 times from only the 5 races and probably should run here more often and imo can at least place here today.

It just can't be a coincidence that Goldmoyne has won here over 7f in August off 42 (net) the last two years after showing no form anywhere else, so it's a bit of a shame that todays trip is 8f. Everything else is perfect, it's August, course, going and a mark of 49 (42 with 7lb claimer) and out the h/c as he was in 2023. Two wins and a place in 4 runs at this track and the other was still quite a decent run, so always runs well here and connections must be trying to win here today. Just a shame this front runner will have to try and last another furlong today, but he could, you never know.

This race has been doing my head in all morning and i'm still torn between, well nearly all of them! Was going to just leave it alone as it's too close to call, but i wanted to put something up and decided on Grant Wood who i thought would be a higher price because of recent form, but i guess like me, most think that this has been a target race and mark has come down because of those races. Sure to be going for the win, but will play ew.

Under a penalty after winning lto in a decent race which will make things harder today, but the wind op seemed to have done the trick and could well have another win in the bank. Did have to go all round the houses lto, so winning margin could well have been more and there are 7 less horses to get around today.

Just lost the price on my ew pick (was 33-1 when picked but only got 22-1) and this one is 25-1 as i type. Makes h/c debut with interesting jockey booking and is up in trip, which makes this very suspicious and dangerous. Didn't set the world alight on 3 previous runs, but that could all change today and should be ew for betting.

There is a strong possibility that this one will not run being 3rd reserve, but if it does is a decent ew play as long as it doesn't blow the start like last race. Lost about 15l lto and as jockeys do, decided to sprint a furlong to catch up quickly instead of just doing it gradually. Even so, was a lot closer at the finish than what they lost at the start, so with a normal start would have at least placed imo. Has run well here and does seem better on the aw.

I believe i tipped this at Galway recently and he was a little unlucky imo at a vital stage just before the home straight which saw him lose ground before coming back in the straight to finish 6th/18, but only 2l behind the winner. Clearly his mark is still workable after winning in June and even though this drop in trip isn't ideal, it still should be ok. Is better drawn today than some market leaders as well.

First ride for Andrew Slattery which could mean something in itself and it could also mean that her opening mark is on the high side and they want it lowered. It's also the change in distance after last 2yo race and lto both over 6f and now over 1m, which was what she ran on 2yo debut, which could be a clue to a better run. The odds say that i'm wrong and i probably am, but i will always back my possible hunches or i will never forgive myself and i won't break the bank with a small ew play, but the rewards are nice when they come off at such a big price.

None of the market leaders are drawn well today, which could leave the door open for a bigger priced place finish in this race. I've gone for this one who was 10l down at Galway on debut, which is quite a unique track imo and doesn't suit all and didn't get a great start so was always at the back. Good 7lb claimer and a decent draw in 3, so if getting away well and this trip suits, could be a half decent ew play.

At 20-1 this looks like a great price for First Officer who imo has had some really poor rides over the last year. Has won as well and i hope it wasn't just because it was a small field race, but does seem to get out of position a lot, but that's the jockey fault and not the horses, so should have decent ew chances.

Looks like it is drifting slightly which is a surprise to me, but i tipped this at a bigger price at the Galway Festival and it impressed me a lot. Can't see the improvement ending even after another 9lb, but have gone ew just in case it drifts any more.

Was caught in a pocket on the rail on debut, but once it got out it closed in fast for 3rd not far behind the winner. It all happened a little too late that day, but with a bit more luck and some improvement in what looks a slightly better race, can be in the mix.

Nearly shocked lto at 150-1 over c & d back in May and if is wasn't for the fact that the jockey dropped the reins late on, it could well have at least placed. Got away well in that race and will have to do the same again from stall 2 to get accross to the more favoured side of the track, but can do that and could out-run these 25-1 odds and prove lto was no fluke. Ew for betting.

8th/17 by 11l on debut wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad either, not 40-1 bad anyway. Ran well for most of the race without any cover up the middle of the track and just seemed to run out of puff. Down to 5f today may well help as will that experience.

Trainer plays the handicap game very well and has now, it seems, started to use his low handicapped horses in the Racing League. We saw last week how competitive his horses were and this is another one. Has taken all season to get this mark down to 70 and went off fav lto off 72, which was 2lb below last winning mark, so 4lb under that today. Has never won in this class but has placed several times and should go close today on this g/f going and it looks like this is the teams only runner, so should be busting a gut for the points.

Maiden who seems to only run well at this track as proved when 3rd here lto. No chance with the decent winner that day and did appear to hang to the left in the last furlong, but was also 3rd here last year and it's no surprise that they're back here today. Usually huge prices, but not today, but has started to drift and is well worth an ew play, even over this shorter trip.

About two years ago Poppadom got a decent ride from a 7lb claimer in a not so decent maiden race and was given an opening mark of 69. Has had no help from the handicapper at all, in fact, it was bordering on discrimination when it placed 3rd and they put him back up 5lb! Since this time last year (12 races) to date, has had to have a claiming jockey to ease the weight. The 3rd place was here and has had a 2nd place here two runs ago, so runs well here and tried to make all when 2nd and from this draw today the same tactics look likely. Don't believe he needs soft going and this trip should also be ok, but does have this bad draw.

Got 80-1 with PP an hour ago, only 66-1 offered here, but either way this is just a small ew. Was not really fancied on debut at 33-1 sp and was really slow away and got a very early reminder from the rider, but was never in it and only beat two home. Has since been gelded and is down in trip after a short break and is probably best watched today to see how well he behaves, but i will chance it just in case the trip and op have improved him.

We are getting 3 places here and imo Gambino is worth chancing on h/c debut. 4yo who beat a decent horse on debut in April and is now straight into a h/c race. Fitness after 4 months has to be taken on trust and is up in distance from that first race, so there are some doubts, but i'm happy enough to roll the dice.

Huge price of 100-1 for this one who did look quite poor lto, but imo doesn't deserve to be this price based on debut run. Both runs over same c & d and apparently the same going, but it was raining lto which may have had some impact. Did only go off at 12-1 in that first race and was held up and finished well, but did have to go right and around a few to get space, which imo is the slower part of the track, but was still running through the line. So based on that first race and that this 7f should also be fine, will try a small ew.

Won at the beginning of June at Brighton wearing first time cheek pieces and did well over 1m 2f lto coming 2nd also wearing a hood. Trying the same distance again today in what looks like quite a wide open race, but not many are coming into it in the form that this one's in.

Placed 2nd lto and first try over that trip. That was best race to date for this 4yo in 12 races and steps up again in trip today, which could well be a good move. Has a claimer riding today who has been doing really well of late and claims 5lb.

Quite why he ran all on his own lto over 6f i don't know, but it got the job done. Made all and had enough of a lead that he was not for catching. That was only on Saturday, so a quick turn around trying to strike while the irons hot and it will be interesting if the same tactics are employed today.

An odds on fav here who's been in decent form and i was going to go for Electric Lightning ew and i do think it has a good chance of winning, never mind placing. Monhammer is a much bigger price at 28-1 and with good reason as it's been out of form from the end of last year to all 3 runs this year, but although he seems to have been around forever, he's only 7yo so not over the hill yet, or shouldn't be. Is 11lb lower now than when winning over c & d last May and must surely return to form soon and i'm hoping it's today.

From the same trainer as my ew tip in the next race and i'm picking this for pretty much the same reasons. The only difference is this one HAS been around a while and is 11 yo now, so could very well be over the hill, but like Monhammer, is sitting on a very good and dangerous mark and could easily win a race like this if returning to some sort of form. Small ew for this one.

Has become a beast on the aw showing no signs of relenting at 9yo and has a higher aw mark to show for it. A jump from 82 to 87 in the weights after returning to turf after a 10 week break to win at Cork not ideal, but won off 94 on that last aw run and is down 1lb to 86 today and another 3lb off with this claiming jockey puts him just 1lb above that last turf win. J Kearney didn't get any claim in that apprentice race and he has 4/5 wins when riding him, which shouldn't be underestimated, but maybe the horses record at this track should with no wins from 15 runs, but does have 5 places and as it drifts in the market to 12-1 should maybe be backed ew, but i'm using as my win tip and hope he breaks his duck here today.

I have been waiting for this one to kick into gear since coming to Ireland and hoping for a little help from the handicapper which hadn't come until now. It should be even lower imo, but with a 7lb claimer today, it might be ok. From what i've seen, he never used to have starting problems, but has in his 3 runs here and that will need to change today. Also tackles 8f for the first time which might help to recover if he does have another poor start, but i also think that this trip might suit better anyway and if getting away well, could well be in the mix.

I think this 7lb claim will help this big improver today from Gavin Cromwell and although a tough race to call, i'm not sure it can beat Mint Man who also has a claimer on top after winning lto. I do think this is much better than these 25-1 odds though and will be in the mix.

Because it's an O'Brien horse ridden by Moore, what idiots and i don't care if it wins, it's still not a bet for anybody with half a brain cell in their heads. Johnny's CP ran better than the 7th place finish on debut being drawn on the wrong side of the track, so can be upgraded. Draw today might help imo and has a chance, along with about 20 others.

Another poor card here today which ends with this lady's race and with only one other race that i tipped in, this is going to have to be the other. This one has ran over trips that have been too short the last twice and is back up in distance today which will suit much better. Appears to be able to run on any going and was in form before the last two races, winning over this trip on the flat and then here in a maiden hurdle, so seems a decent ew bet, shame about the odds.

I think i tipped this yesterday having stable debut and hoping for a change of scenery to work some magic, it didn't and i'd be surprised if this ran today. If it does though, it would mean that maybe yesterdays ride might just have been a prep run for this race, which looks an easier race imo. They are down in trip which doesn't look the best of moves on paper, but after running yesterday, maybe it's a good move. A very small ew for betting.

Didn't even win with my short priced nap yesterday and i'm not really feeling it today. This one however went straight in the tracker after coming from nowhere to finish 3rd after the penny dropped a bit too late. That experience should pay dividends today with only the unraced Burke runner looking a threat. Poor odds but i'm looking foward to seeing how she does, with the winner of that debut race running tomorrow. (Saphire Steps 1540)

Couple of bad days and need to get back to business. I have no idea who the jockey was riding this lto and have no idea what they were trying to do. Poorly away and then went left to seemingly want to ride on that side of the track, but then wondered back over and race was already over with. Todays jockey rode the race before and they came 4th in a similar race and was out the h/c and is again today. Has been with Katy Brown about 2 years now and has shown some glimpses this year and i'm sure she wants this 21 race maiden to break his duck and i'm sure he will soon, but maybe down in grade would make life easier. Still, with a better jockey and a better start and back over 5f, i do believe he has a chance today.

This will only stand a chance of placing if all 8 run and that's pushing it a bit. I'm having a small ew on the basis of the poor start on debut, finding itself about 15l behind in the first 50 yards and hoping that they just gave up rather than it really was that poor. It's not a good race and something might find improvement.

Another shortie but i do like this horse. My original notes said "it's a mud lark" which is a bit of a discredit and has been flying back up the weights and running well on all going. Was gelded before this season which also looks to have helped and i've had an ante-post bet on him for the Ebor at 33-1, so he needs to be winning this today.
