This is a more open race than the betting suggests, I think. A couple have already won at this level, but I think Who's Glen, who came to life at Chester last month, could be the answer. On his first run on turf, he won his race by 13 lengths on heavy ground over roughly this distance. He's up in class today, but could have a lot more in the locker.

It was quite a surprise when I saw Eljaytee at this price,I expected around 6/1 not 16/1 .He runs at Yarmouth quite often but Brighton seems to suit him better,has ran twice at Brighton winning one with this jockey aboard and finishing second on the other occasion.He has only won 2 races and been placed twice in 28 runs .Ground comes all the same,possibly favoring cut.

I'm not overly taken by any runner in this novice race at Yarmouth, so I'm taking a punt on Believe It at 33/1. These small field races, 4 runners here, often throw up surprise winners as no one wants to lead, and it ends up being a 2-furlong sprint. D and C Kubler are top trainers, and Jim Crowley is the most accomplished jockey in this race.

It's disappointing that Apollo One is drawn in stall 1. Looking at the stats, there has only been one winner of this race from stalls 1 to 4 in the last 17 years, whereas stalls 5 to 8 have won 13 times. I am still going to tip Apollo One, though, who is a hardened handicapper and has been running well recently. Ground conditions don't seem to make any difference. Stall 1 is due for a break!

This is by no means a certain winner, but I think Commanche Falls ticks a lot of the right boxes and is overpriced a tad. He is getting a bit older (7) now but still seems to like the game. He has run with credit on his visits to Ascot in the past, the last couple in Group 3s, and compared to his races so far this season, this is a big drop in class. A bit high in the weights but worth a shot?

Looking at this race the first thing you perceive is that a lot of the runners would be better employed on Blackpool beach as they are no better than Donkeys.I bet one of them wins at 66/1 now. Temper Trap is one of only three who I think have a chance here.He ticks all the right boxes including handicap rating ,going ,course form ,distance,jockey form and current form.His trainer Tim Easterby has had apoor season but he must have a stable full of well handicapped horses.

Chancellor looked the real deal when winning at Doncaster in a novice race around a month ago and was also impressive on his debut run also at Doncaster coming from last to win easily.Left with a mountain to climb in the listed race inbetween after a poor start/position and maybe not a great ride.Looks a star in the making.
