Stream Of Stars did well to win a small field race easily, given the 3-year absence prior to the race. Still unexposed at 9 due to that absence. However, Enthused is another improver from the Owen yard, which is in form. Did well last year, winning a few races, then had some flat running (less successful). Won well over a week ago and has a 7-pound penalty to shake off. I believe he can do that.

This 2m 4f should suit. Came second of three last time to Barrons Land. That one won again two days ago off a mark of 105. The selection's mark of 95 might prove to be fair providing she's fresh and ready after a break.

THE GAY BLADE always runs on late but rarely gets up to win apart from one race 3 runs back. It appeard that he's been crying out for this 7th furlong and now he has the chance to make the late finish count, especially as his near misses have left his mark around the winning one.

JENNI is only 3 and won last time over this CD.The runner up and third that day were rated 81 and 80 so the current mark here of 71 might be letting him in.

Pol Roger has proved disappointing and better value looks to be with the lightly raced SPIRIT OF ACKLAM. The yard remains in decent form and this one has won 2 from 4 last and this season.Finished last season winning ovewr CD and following a break won very easily at 4/9 fav so had clearly thrived. Jumped from classs 5 to class 2 next time which poroved to be a little too ambitious.This step back to class 4 looks ideal. Has shown a liking for any ground and also runs well after a break

MAKALU is often thereabouts at this level and was a good second here 2 races agao.It was the best performance for a while and slao the first time in heavy ground in a long time.The next race came a little quickly( 7 days)He missed the break that day and wasnt pushed.Back up to a kmole with ground in his favour this is a big chance

Fair to say Chester is a quirky course and many can't ride the bends very well or get left behind.BUt it wa s a good and improved run even if the distance was flattering.Has 9 pound more for that. Epsom's quirks lend themselves to front runners too and he can make all again. Win in heavy last year too

MILLER SPIRIT has a couple of good things going for him here ; he was able to win over CD on hius last run, which is always a big plus at Epsom ; he won with over 11 stone on his back as it was a nbovelty charity race for former jockeys.he also revels in mud and has only a 3 pound penalty for that recent win.
