Both look exposed compared to Telepathique, who has only had six chases, won four, and been second twice. She jumps well and isn't ground-dependent. Nine runners due to go off and all have had plenty of runs. However, only one horse in the field has won a hurdle race: Soldier's Leap. Had a year off then a win operation. Needed the run but still came a good 3rd of 13. Followed up by beating 11 runners, going away. Same claimer takes off three pounds and now has a first-time hood. I can't see much to threaten a success.

Still managed to finish well eventually for third, and it's significant they feel like enough petrol was left to come out today (new apprentice takes the ride).

Obviously likes the surface and is versatile in terms of distance. Back over the 10 furlongs today for an impressive apprentice who was a close second here two races ago over that CD.

Then, despite the poor form, booked a professional and the horse went off favorite and won easily here. The stewards took a look but accepted the trainer's reasoning that all it took was a decent draw. The draw's decent again here and still 6 pounds lower than the winning mark of 58 earlier in the season.

Surrey Lord is on a hat trick, but another penalty will feel tough as they try an extra half mile here. Nazare still looks like a learner but somehow managed to complete and win last time despite a few dodgy jumps. Enjoyed this distance that day and gets the assistance of Sean Bowen today.

Man U are playing positively of late and scoring freely. However, the last two games have brought them 2-2 draws, so it doesn't read well defensively. Everton are still on a long road back from a few seasons of hell and are still cautious but aware of the need to score. They're not a big scoring team, and it's hard to remember games in which they get three goals or more. This is a big one for David Moyes at Old Trafford. I think goals look on, but pound for pound, Utd, like many teams, are too strong for Everton.
