Pride Of Donegal has a couple of AW wins from other courses but seems best over 1m 4f. Londoner always runs well at this level but only 2 wins from 15 on AW surfaces makes him look exposed. Zryan, on the other hand, has only 8 runs on the AW and has won twice, been runner-up twice and third once. He won a couple of races at Wolves last season, then after a break came back and was in need of the run when possibly aiming too high here in a Class 2 for £23,000. He finished down the field but didn't get a decent run at all late on. Likely better for that run, back down in class and not a big field here.

Gennadius is one of two for the same owners here and has Sean Levey on. Didn't win in 10 turf runs but has won and been runner-up in three AW runs. Didn't run well in a handicap two races ago here, but broke the maiden here last time in a maiden race by 8 lengths. That was also the first try stepped up to a mile, which looks significant enough to make this step back to handicap company less daunting.

After three poor efforts and very big SPs, the trainer tried an extra furlong (a mile) over another polytrack surface (Chelms) for the handicap debut and it worked with a dead heat. That was good improvement and it can defy the penalty of only a pound. Roserunner has a very similar profile, but the win last time was at Wolves.
