Red Spells Danger is favourite despite never having run on AW surfaces or winning in five turf runs. That's not something I'd back short. Ay Up Duck has two seconds in two runs, both here over 5f and 7f. Lost by two lengths on each occasion, so doesn't look that forward to me. Got The Booty seems better value. Placed second on its only AW run last year, then came back after seven months to here and ran second at odds-on. Stayed on again late there to go down by a head. Would be better for that now and looks more forward and reliable at this stage.

Little Lady Lucy won an easy five lengths last time, and the stewards accepted the explanation that a switch back to 2 miles helped. Two miles here too, so she can't run badly. They didn't add that the rating of 70 was a long drop from 89, and that helped. On balance, a repeat of that win should see a follow-up.

Lord Capulet notched a hat-trick, then a place, but ran badly here last time when going off 2/1 favorite and finished a weak 10th of 11. Looked poor to the eye. The stewards accepted the trainer's excuse that the horse didn't like being crowded in the race and seems to prefer front running. Kevin Stott is onboard now, so an honest effort looks assured this time.

Bayern Munich were involved in another thriller in Europe midweek, so may well be feeling that. However, should they win this, it would be the first half of the big double. They have now scored 105 goals. Stuttgart have been on a good run too and have been scoring frequently. They have their eyes on European qualification in 4th place. Hard to see a clean sheet either way here, but Bayern look as strong now as at any other part of the season.

Arsenal looked nailed on for the top spot all season until recently when the strain has started to show. They're paying the price for Euro progression as well as league superiority. They have looked tired lately and had a hard midweek Euro game again. Man City are 6 points behind with a game in hand and, having been knocked out of Europe, have had a week to relax and train as normal. Present form says City should outstay the Gunners and push them hard, and the race is likely to be neck and neck thereafter. Should the Gunners win this, it looks all over for the rest.

David Moyes' old-school approach has worked the oracle again at Everton. Despite looking badly under-manned, they are now playing as a unit and have looked fitter as they progress. Importantly, they're now scoring goals and growing in confidence. Liverpool continue to stumble from game to game, wondering what side will be picked, and look weak. They pass the ball to death and play side to side, and when going forward have little imagination in front of goal. The midweek Euro game won't have helped the preparation, and this could be a big day for the Toffees.
