Rajstar is lightly raced compared to the competition and could be well in at the moment. Ran three poor races at very large starting prices but then switched from 1m and 1m 2f for the handicap debut here for whatever reason, and the win came. Stewards accepted it was the cut-in-trip excuse, so there should be another good run here. Spartan Fighter again ran a cracker a few nights ago and won again. I think the handicapper's curse might tell Kate on.

My Genghis has shown he enjoys this surface and course and won well two races ago. He was well fancied to double up four days ago over CD, only to run into a crowd of horses on the final bend and have to wait. He couldn't get through and the jockey had to snatch up. He still finished close up and looked the likely winner had the trouble not occurred. This is an opportunity to get compensation.

Ionian isn't one of the Henderson big guns, but it's early yet. He hasn't won in his two runs, so he steps up in distance now. The Boss Bear was gelded before running, then did well in two bumpers (??'21) before making a winning hurdling debut on soft ground over this distance. He was sent off 5/4f, so he must have been expected to be ready.

Brentford have shocked most with their continuing European form and have picked up in the league too. Arsenal's recent hiccups have done little damage to their drive for the title, as those just behind hiccuped even more. They remain 6 points ahead and we're heading for more European football soon too. Arsenal won't sit back, as a win would widen the lead to 9 points. That's a big gap. Brentford have won their last two games and are 7th. A win here would put them in a playoff position, as this is a game they have in hand on the few above them. I believe this game will be closer than the pundits suspect and it should have goals.
