After a string of very poor runs at huge SP's, MERRIMECK came right back down from a mile to 5 f in distance and reached for the blionkers and won two races well.Because of the earlier poor form and recent improvement on average company there's a chance the handicapper hasn't got the measure of him yet

CHURCHELLA lost quite a few lengths at the beginning last time.and after latching on to the main body had used a lot of petrol despite it being 14 furlongs, and the strong pace appeared to catch up on her. She was still kept up to her work without being knocked about and was gaining late.Valley Of Flowers was ahead in second place after running a good race and should again be involved. However, the smaller field and extra couple of furlongs here should ensure a truer race from the selection and she can reverse that last run.

LIPA K turned a corner when taking on fences and won two races well , 2 miles and 2 miles 4 f. Switched back to hurdles last time and was coming to challenge late when unseating.Back to fences here and shoujlders a 11 pound penalty.None of the opposition has done anything like him so that penalty isn't too imposing in the context of the race.

BALTIC has seemingly trained on from 3 and is already three wins from three runs this season.Has defied two penalties from a mark of 60 to 70 and won on soft ground, firm ground and AW.The last run was from 13 rivals and won most impressively of the three runs.Stepping up to class4 doesn't seem to big an ask.

MUTAAWID has improved with each run for the Gosden team and following a good 2nd of 13 at Sandown won well at Kempoton last time.Never looked in doubt and was a cosy 6 L in front at the line. That was alos a first try with blinkers and they stay on here. Holds St Leger entry and a run anything like the last one should win this

FORCING BULL won two hurdle races last year on soft ground but form tailed off fast.No improvement in two this season either but different story last time when taking on fances.IT was only a 4-runner race but he jumped for fun and quiekened whenever challenged.That would help a lot at this unusual course with it's 3 furlong turning run-in. The runner up at 4/6 fav was a Skelton -trained last-time-out-winner.

SUMMER OF LOVE won two AW races at Kempron classes 5 and 4 and was then pitched in to a Royal Ascot class 2 race of 24 runners for the turf debut.In hindsight it was ambitios and finished 17th albeit only 9 lengths behind wide margin winner.Ran creditibly but once it got busy the jockey, Soumillon, appeared to cry off.Blinkers on this time and a field half the size and a class lower.

JoJo Rabbit won well last time but that was in soft off a fallen mark. Has yet to win off a mark this high. COOMEIN COMEIN arrives from Ireland after a win and runner up spot last 2. Could have been two wins but for the horse being spooked late and jumping.Same apprentice up here.

SEA KING was found wanting at Royal Ascot but won well over this CD in his previous race.It was all the more impressive as he was held hostage by horses around him and had to be dleivered really late. Won again after the Royal Ascot loss up at Hamilton. Has won at 11, 12 and 13 f. so this distance is ideal and the 4 pound penalty shouldn't hinder

It looked an odd decision for connections to run VINGEGAARD at Royal Ascot in a class 1 race when he'd only won a 6-runner soft ground class 5 at Chepstow.However, he finished 3 lengths 5th of 27 runners.Only faded late.That's decent form and he has a couple of big entries later at Nass and Doncaster

REGIONAL was very consistent at this level and higher last season in large as well as small fields. Followed the break with a good 2nd at the Curragh then went to Royal Ascot and looked like winning a 17-runner King Charles lll only to wander slightly late and come second. The runner up prize money was £147,000.00 that day. That's three times greater than the first prize money here. Yard's had a decent season so far.

KYLE OF LOCHLASH has progressed in leaps this season.From contesting class 5 mile races on synthetics to taking on turf marathons.Since taking on longer distances the progress has been impressive ; 2 wins at 14 f Chelms ended last season.Following the break, has a much needed opener and then won a class 2 on turf by an eased 6 lengths so went to Royal Ascot and took on 2m 3f and was 3rd of 20 not quite seeing the trip out.This a slightly lesser race and back at 2 miles shold suit
