Betterforeveryone ticks enough boxes to suggest decent EW value. Lightly raced in comparison to the opposition (11 runs). Has won over this demanding CD and finished last season winning over 4 miles. Won't mind the ground, and if ready to roll after a 90-day break can get involved.

Mintana won over CD recently and looks to appreciate the extra furlong. Had a couple of good finishers on his tail but won well, and the runner-up has run well since. Sets the bar with only a pound extra.

Dandy Magic has 2 CD wins and is still lightly rcaed. Has been knocking loudly on the door here for a few runs recently and looked to have a great opportunity here again a few days ago over 5 f. Again came too late to be denied and runner up again. Hold up tactics were over done there and this extra furlong loooks perfect as does smart apprentice's 5 pound claim

Alto Alto is without a win for 12 months, but even on a reduced mark has 12 stone to carry. Kitsilano is far less exposed and broke the chasing bow last time, well following a wind operation which obviously helped. Getting a stone off Alto Alto helps too at this juncture.

Merlin Allen managed to close in, then pass a clear leader on debut, and then pull clear at Aintree. That was an impressive debut. He was being eased at the line, so may well be useful.

Katate Dori won this with ease last season but hasn't won in recent runs. However, he has shown up in a couple this season and looks like he's coming to hand. He's the only one in the race who has proven form at the distance, so on balance could be better than initial appearances.

Three Card Brag ran a huge race last time to be 2nd of 24 at Newbury in the Coral Gold Cup. Claimed-ridden that day, he gets Jack Kennedy on top now. The race was worth £142,000, so this represents a step down. Since that run, the Elliott team have improved.

Blackburn are just above the relegation zone despite winning half of the games so far. They seem to win every other game and lose the other. They are a positive side overall and score goals. The record is virtually mirrored by tonight's visitors, who also score often and sit in 8th, just outside the play-offs. Two inconsistent sides with their own reasons for wanting the three points here. I favour Blackburn as they have that "new manager" syndrome. He made a good start last time out, winning 3-1 away to QPR.

Motazzen might be EW value. Versatile in terms of hurdle wins and AW flat form. Is as good over 1m4f as 2m. Last six runs have been over hurdles. Just before that, ran over this course and distance and won off a mark of 68. Most of the opposition form here isn't progressive, so this one can get involved with Fallon in the chair.

Early days for all of these, and a couple have run green or failed to complete. The Great Nudie has had three goes and won on her second, making all the running. A repeat of that here might catch a couple out. Kaira Des Blaises isn't one of Willie Mullins' big guns and has failed to win in five chases.
