Fleurman ended a long bad run last time when the mark slipped to 67 (had been in the 90s) and a small field as well as poly. That's a lot in his favour, so given the run not one to throw money at in my opinion. Mio Amico has won a couple recently. Much lighter raced, and the 10 runs have thrown up 2 wins, both on Polytrack, so I see more value and scope in this one.

Final Night is consistent and in form and likes the course. Won one of this series last time here, coming with a well-timed run to win nicely. Four-pound penalty looks fair.

Kawaboomga can be the one. One run in 2024 and one in 2025 showed he can go in big fields. They were in much lesser races, but a recent run in 2026 was in a Grade 3 race. It was heavy going and two miles, and he came 4th of 7, only beaten three lengths. He came late that day as though needing a longer trip, met trouble late, and was closing again at the finish. This 2m 4f looks ideal, and for the time of year he will be very fresh.

He's On Fire joined Willie Mullins from France after three runs (no wins). He must have been happy with the work he'd done, as he went off at 2/9 favourite and beat Class 4 opposition by 20 lengths, hard held. So straight to Class 2 now for Rich Richie, and it's difficult to want to challenge them.

Dancingwithmyself's best run to date came at Goodwood last season when on good ground. Stayed on powerfully late to win going away off a mark of 82. Failed to follow up with a penalty, but the ground was soft. If ready to roll, could go in. Trainer's in good form and has had a good win-to-runner ratio in March. Oisin Murphy looks a significant booking.

Arguably would have won last time but, due to delaying the late finish too long, went down by a head. A pound higher now, but the claimer effectively puts him 2 pounds lower, so he has a chance of going one better.

The most recent run came after a five-month break and was ridden by an inexperienced 10 lb claimer, yet it was still a respectable runner-up. It stayed on well then and is likely to be fitter for it today, with Tom Bellamy back in the saddle.

Despite the previous disappointments, she went off 11/4 second favourite and won snugly, so was clearly expected. Now they know what worked, the oracle ??" no reason to fear the same class and distance here.

Touquet notched a double up recently and was fancied for the hat-trick but went down 10 lengths to Hass Bay. That one had won the previous race and went on to Ascot to win again, a class higher than this, off a mark of 114. That makes the defeat look a little more positive as Touquet stays in Class 4 here with a mark of 108.

After three races learning, Moment Of Light took six months off and was gelded. Came back to try Kempton's 1m 3f (CD) with a tongue tie, and connections expected better according to the 2/1 (fav) SP. Only beat four opponents, but it was clear a long way out that he would. So it seems safe to assume he's the finished product now.

Diamond Geezer is a mixed bag and seems to run best on soft ground. After winning well two races ago, he ran poorly last time, finishing 7th of 11 when favourite. The trainer is reaching for blinkers for the first time and going up half a mile, which seems to suggest a little guesswork. Passing Pleasure looks safer. He has won two and been runner-up once in three runs for the new trainer. He has won and placed in his last two over fences but had an easy win over hurdles beforehand and looks like this distance would be suitable too.

Kingcormac has notched up three wins for this claimer and is in fine form. However, he's 10 and has incurred the penalties now, so may be vulnerable and Applicationofcash may exploit that. Still lightly raced for eight, having only 11 runs. Did nothing in seven hurdles despite trying headgear. Changed trainer two times, then tried chasing and changed trainer again. Current yard, despite the poor previous form, won over fences when the horse still went off at 3/1. Liked the good ground, jumped well and won well. The step up another four furlongs seems odd on that, but they must feel it's a plus as there are plenty of two-mile races elsewhere. Jockey is up-and-coming and able to claim seven pounds here. That's 10 pounds less than the favourite.

Harry Junior's two wins happened when wearing a tongue tie only, after the trainer tried various mixes. Same today. He was almost caught on the line last time off a mark of 89. That would normally indicate the handicapper has the measure now, as he's rated 94. However, the runner-up was rated over 100 and nothing here is, and while likely short-priced favourite Walkinthepresent improved to win last time, he has only been a mid-80s horse thus far and won't find it easy to beat Harry Junior if it comes to a battle.

Tuba did nothing in six hurdle races and was barely better in flat turf races. On AW tracks she has two places and a win in seven tries, so she clearly prefers AW racing. Her sole win came here, and she has gone okay since without winning notably last time when clear of the third with the eventual winner. She can win again now as most of the opposition look to be struggling lately, with the possible exception of Haveachoc, who ran up a three-timer not long ago and has run well in two defeats since. It looks like this extra two furlongs might help, so Haveachoc might be each-way.

Top two in the weights head the market, but neither has run for six months or so. Kolkata Knight has never run on a synthetic surface, so that's a gamble as well. He has to concede six pounds to the lightly raced Dark Angel Star, who has only four runs in the tank and two were on AW tracks (Poly and Tapeta), finishing second and first. That one looks the better option to me.

Farasi Lane is at least consistent at this level, likes the track, and won last time out here. Did that well enough in inexperienced hands, and Rossay Ryan takes over now with only a minor penalty.
