The run back from a very long time off was encouraging at Carlisle and she's lighter in the weights now so there are each-way cliams if matching that run with the same jockey on board. She's a unpredictable one, but at this price probably worth chancing.

MUROOR is getting on but remains one that is very tricky to rule out as he's still pretty consistent at Hexham as demonstrated as recently as last month on two occasions, once from today's handicap mark. Remains on pretty even terms with Kickaftersix, who is considerably shorter in price, which indicates some value in the veteran for me.

LAW DEGREE has regressed the last couple of runs, but looks at a decent looking handicap mark now and certainly has some potential to bounce back at some stage. Seemed to be ready for class 3's with a positive looking run at Doncaster at the back end of last season, so there's still potential for him to get motoring at this level.

HIGHFIELD VIKING returns to last winning mark and could well come on from the run last time out. It makes him a potential player if so, now reduced in the handicap and lower in the weights than decent looking runs at Pontefract and Catterick when last seen in this grade. Can hopefully get into a decent looking position from the stalls with plenty of hold-up types on the inside.

The well drawn SON OF ASTAR could well come on from the returning run on the all-weather at Wolverhampton when he was sent off second favourite. Showed some promise as a 2yo most notably at Thirsk and Leicester (firmer ground). Could spring a surprise, but we do need to prove he can handle this grade.

AL MUQDAD struggled in large fields the last two runs and disappointed as a favourite the run before those, when starting at a short price on seasonal debut at Redcar. He had a real hot streak last season and is now back to last winning mark, so is probably worth looking at from this big a price. There's each-way claims if bouncing back.

Drawn wide, but RED MIRAGE re-appeared from a long break with a decent looking run at Ayr and shouldn't be phased by the step up in grade. This mark or the going doesn't look an issue either so he's considered at this price, especially with some previous course form in the locker. Amateur jockey has made an encouraging start too.

We were on Maundy Thursday yesterday as I think she's likely to get a win soon, so she went onto the tracker. Surprised to see her out straight away, but if connections look her over and decide to go again, I'll stay on as I wouldn't want to miss out on her at this price.

I think the stable has a good hand here with Mysteryofthesands and TEMPER TRAP, who looks a big price having shown snatches here and there, most notably at Thirsk last month, when narrowly beaten. Ropey starts have been the issue of late, but if he can snap out of it, then maybe he gets involved, and he could have the pace to reel them in provided he stays in tow.

SOLDIERS DESIGN just looks like one that could bounce back sooner or later. Showed some encouragement for new connections last season at Sandown. Has regressed since then, with runs on the all-weather which probably aren't suitable and then a return to turf last time out off a lengthy break. Should strip fitter for that and the mark is now at rock bottom, and the draw looks favourable too.

UNPLUGGED seems to be running back into form, and you can make a stronger claim for him than some others at shorter prices. He comes into this a pound lighter than a two-length defeat at Haydock last time out and shouldn't have any issues with the drop back in trip. Throw in a decent run when last seen at Newbury, and maybe this 9-year-old gets close.

Was quite keen on SINJ yesterday, but connections withdrew. If anything, this is a more suitable trip, with breeding suggesting the softer going should suit. Hopefully, it does not get too much firmer, but even if it does, there's enough in previous runs to suggest she can land one sooner or later.

Steadily improving MAUNDY THURSDAY could be ready to strike before too long. Last two runs on the turf have been stamped with winners so can potentially be marked up and I think she could benefit from a slight drop in trip too. We're in three year-old territory and there's plenty of early handicappers in here, so don't go overboard but there's definitely each-way claims with any further improvement.

I'm reluctant to bet against Clive Cox in a race that carries his name but SINJ seems to be getting the hang of this and is given consideration at this price. He clearly looks the best of the crop that have already run and with improvement expected she could come up trumps providing one of the debutants doesn't come in flying.

ROMAN EMPEROR doesn't find winning that easy but has been steadily improving and stayed on as if he could handle the extra distance last time out. Now drops further in the weights and with two longshots likely to make the running there will be a pace to aim at. This one could be one of the ones that reels them in.

Hit and miss on the all-weather over the winter and spring, GOLDEN MIND is considered on return to the flat. Wasn't far away in a class two at Doncaster last September and is lighter in the handicap. That run came on the soft but looks equally solid on the firmer ground and could be a danger from a big price if bouncing back. Draw favourable also.

CARNIVAL ZAIN misfired last time out but still looks well handicapped based on the run in the big field at Thirsk the run before that. Looks to be well drawn and has potential if back in that mood. Well below the weights of last season's peak and could pick up the consistency and land a race of this calibre before too long.

This is a class six affair, and only one of these knows what it's actually like to win a race. So maybe CUDA BEEN A ROWLEX can outrun this price and shake off a couple of disappointing runs with the new headgear. The stable is in form and does particularly well over these sorts of middle distances, so it is worth each-way consideration.

That was in a class six, but this doesn't seem to be much more taxing, and I think there's potential for a big run if you are prepared to forgive the last time out misfire.
