Capuchinero has lost her way a touch after a busy year, and it could be that she is crying out for a break now. But those runs have served to drop the handicap mark. She has a win here at Kempton from three pounds higher and is equally comfortable at seven furlongs, so she could cause a surprise. We have an extra place to go for.

I'm prepared to forgive the last time out run for ESTATE PLANNING, which was the first since the beginning of the year. Has now dropped in the weights to a potentially dangerous handicap mark and has previous on the softer going. Still a maiden but there are each-way claims, or more, if that last time out run has served as a tune-up.

Should hopefully come on from that, and the softer ground, this grade, and handicap mark shouldn't provide any negatives. Not got the best win percentage, but there are each-way claims at least.

WATER OF LEITH returns to the all-weather from a significantly reduced mark than when running here in February and June. Both runs were competitive, including one in this grade. Also had Paul Mulrennan in the saddle and he's back again here. Difficult to rule out back here and hopefully recent disappointments at Musselburgh have served as tune-ups.

Has been stretched by the mile this season, including last time out, so I think the return to this distance is favourable. Seems to like it when she gets her own way and is handily drawn here so might be able to strike from a favourable position. Softer going and distance shouldn't be a problem, so we'll give her an each-way look.

Powerful Response could do just that, returning to the scene of some solid-looking runs last winter. Just missed out at the back end of last year here and is worth considering at this price, just in case the return here is what the doctor ordered. We do need the poor turf form to be put firmly in the past, though.

SPOT ON SOPH is tricky to rule out here. She's hugely consistent and might be able to fare even better against her own sex. The recent win at Sedgefield has nudged her up in the handicap, but I still think there's scope for another good showing. The stable is bang in form too, with over 40 percent placing in the past month. Could be another here.

LAURENTIA is still a maiden on the turf so I don't think we should read too much into the inability to fire in a win over the summer months, as there were plenty of positive showings in there. Returns to the much more preferable all-weather sphere from a tasty looking handicap mark and has each-way claims if running to the usual ability here. Now 9 years old but still showed up solidly on the turf in recent months so not put off by that.
