If the added cheekpieces have the desired effect and result in a cleaner run, then we've got one potentially weighted for a strike at a big price. The wide draw isn't ideal, but it could be overcome, and he won't be stretched by seven furlongs anyhow.

Princess PW's best run to date was over this trip as a 2yo in a maiden last season. I'm prepared to write off the step up in grade last time out, and this represents a significant drop in the quality of opposition. Last time out, blinkers were quickly dispensed with, so there is plenty to suggest we'll see a better run this time.
