Gorgodze is chanced at this price. Kalinina isn't seen much on clay, and with Gorgodze performing well on the surface, she could edge this in three.

Papamichail is given a small punt at this price due to her highly solid clay form. She's done most of it at a lower level, but could be good enough to take it.

Dead even in the head-to-head and statistically on the clay, so Brancaccio looks a decent punt. The pair look very difficult to split. She also had the better of their last meeting.

Forget the poor shows on the all-weather for PARRAMOUNT. This looks much more like it for this ten-year-old, who was close to a victory here in a handicap from just a pound lower back in November. He followed that up with a mid-division finish in a competitive handicap from higher in the weights, and in this grade at Ascot in December. The stable do well here, and he's definitely got place claims if he can match that level of performance back in hurdling company.

Gaubas could be a danger for the favorite here. He's got plenty of solid clay form to his name, and Hanfmann has been a touch sluggish to start the season.

We can draw a line on the two chase attempts by Tiny Tetley this season. He now comes back to hurdling from an attractive-looking mark and could be dangerous if he bounces back. Racing at a lower level than usual to try to regain confidence, and connections who do well here could have made the right call.

Bang in form, and able to cope in this grade, Popmaster looks the most likely winner of this. Connections clearly seem to be trying to take advantage of the form by sending him out so quickly.

Selekhmeteva continues to represent great value on this surface, so she looks a decent play at this price. Especially with Stearns looking inconsistent of late.

I think one of Selby or Xintong will win the Welsh Open. They both seem to be slightly ahead of the rest of the pack heading into the critical tournaments just before the World Championship starts after Easter.

Zhao is proving to be a really formidable threat at the moment. With the Worlds around the corner, he'll be keen to keep his great form going. It's either Selby or Zhao to win this for me.
