That was a solid-looking run by OVERPASS in the Group One King Charles III on the festival's opening day. That race was over shorter than he's used to seeing, so this step up to six furlongs could see further improvement.

Muker is now 8yo, so might just be taking some time to wind up. His quiet start to this season has served to drop the mark by 8 lbs lower than the mid-division finish in this race last year. He's seven pounds lower than the race victory here two years ago, so he could be a danger if re-finding the spark. The stable have a solid record here, so he's worth an each-way play.

Apollo One looks very well drawn. He usually gets out well and has a history of being very competitive at this level and over this trip. All things considered, he's very difficult to rule out, particularly as the seasonal debut at Newmarket still showed some promise. He has a number of things in his favour and should give us a good run for our money.

Eldrickjones is probably worth a look at this price, as he's now racing at a level well below his usual standard. He had a relatively good all-weather stint, which included a win at Newcastle. So, even though he finds winning on turf harder to come by, he could be a contender against the lesser opposition here. The stable has been firing them in of late, too.

Pleasant Man returns to the turf with a reduced mark and looks most likely to capitalise if the hat-trick-seeking shortie gets caught by the handicapper.
