Charaeva was slow to start in 2026, but she's fared better since transferring to clay. Kasatkina has been pretty ordinary for the last 18 months or so, so I think Charaeva has value at this price.

This race looks well within Emperor Spirit's remit. He drops to Class Four on turf for the first time. He has form fresh and has decent runs here as well, so he ticks plenty of boxes for a horse at this price. He also looks like a potential front-runner, which could pay off here. He is the elder statesman of the race, so perhaps vulnerable to younger rivals, but there's still a tasty return for a top-five finish.

With a seasonal debut under her belt, Cinque Verde looks to have an each-way chance here. She has a course win in her back catalogue too. She ended last season with a competitive showing in a higher grade, so if she matches that form, she could get involved here. She should get out of the traps quickly and the conditions should suit.

Was the last-time-out run on the all-weather by Natzor a sign that he's perhaps turned the corner? It was a fourth-place finish from the same mark over this trip. If he emulates that run, then there's a chance he can get involved. Obviously very unpredictable, but with course wins in the past, maybe worth a small play.
