Ruth Carr's three-time C&D winner, Alligator Alley, was going for a four-timer when finishing third at Wolverhampton last month. He only lost in the final strides. Now eight years old and not the force he once was, he may still be too good for today's opponents. He gets in here eight lbs below a winning mark, and he loves it at Southwell.
