In today's Irish Grand National, I'm going for Matthew Smith's Another Chance, who just scraped in at the bottom of the handicap as a reserve. The eight-year-old ran a great race to finish a length and a quarter runner-up behind History Of Fashion in a listed race over this C&D last time we saw him in December, with this year's Kim Muir winner Daily Present nearly five lengths behind in third. That was his first attempt at today's marathon trip, and if he can get close to repeating it here, he can outrun his massive price.

James Fanshawe's Heathcliff can reverse January’s form when he finished fourth behind the Marshman, now that he is better off at the weights. He didn’t get the clearest of runs that day and found himself further back than ideal, but kept on into fourth, leaving the impression he may have gone closer with a clearer run. He was unsuited by the steady pace over six furlongs at Kempton. Next time, again at Kempton, this time over seven furlongs, he stumbled leaving the stalls and was again denied a clear run when making some headway. Hopefully, he will get a clear run today.
