Sam England's Asian Journey despite the fact that he remains a maiden after ten starts, had been running well with two particularly good placed efforts over seven furlongs at Southwell, before racing too keenly when cheekpieces were reapplied in a  handicap over the same C&D last week, which saw him finish eighth of twelve. Today with the headgear removed and back up to a mile he should go a lot better, particularly with Paul Mulrennan who rides this course better than most of his contemporaries onboard for the first time.

J P McManus has no less than five representatives in this race. The one I like is the Gavin Cromwell-trained seven-year-old Mywayofthinkin, who looks to me to be very well handicapped. He is a half-brother to Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inowthewayurthinkin. He found the company a bit hot when entered in three good beginners' chases at the start of his chasing career, but he showed far more in this company when keeping on fourth at Limerick over two miles one furlong in December. Today's two-and-a-half-mile trip will suit him better. I think he is a good each-way bet here.
