France look too short to win the game. As we saw with Belgium versus Egypt yesterday, the African nations seem to be performing above their market value. Ivory Coast also produced a cracking performance in their 1-0 win over Ecuador, and Senegal can follow suit. The winners of AFCON can boast the likes of Mané and Sarr in attack and should cause the French a few problems.

Enjoyed a fabulous season with Bayern Munich, hitting 15 in 32 Bundesliga matches. He has carried that form over to international level and hit a hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Northern Ireland in their last friendly. He now has 9 in his last 23 matches for France and could well find the target again this evening.

Third at Epsom on seasonal debut for Ralph Beckett and then only found the well-handicapped Klassleader at York. That was off 95 and only 2 lb higher this afternoon. Definitely has a big handicap in him this season. Wasn't given a hard time in the King George V Stakes last year at Royal Ascot, and a better show is expected.

Núñez was always a frustrating player for Liverpool during his spell at Anfield and hasn't exactly set the world alight since moving to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia. A 1-1 draw against England was a step in the right direction following their 5-1 defeat against the USA. Saudi Arabia have won one of their last six, and that was against Puerto Rico. Uruguay should prove a couple of goals too strong.

Belgium have been scoring goals for fun of late, but face a stern test against Egypt. The Africans only lost 2-1 to Brazil earlier this month and also drew 0-0 with Spain back in March. The Belgians often flatter to deceive in major tournaments, and Kevin De Bruyne is not getting any younger. Could be an upset on the cards.

Looks a formality on paper for Spain, but they may face a few problems in the conditions from a Cape Verde team that has had some decent results of late. They arrive having beaten Serbia 3-0 and then boosted confidence further with a 3-0 win over Bermuda. They also gave Chile a few problems in a 4-2 defeat and beat Finland on penalties in March.
