Couldn't be in much better form of late. Beaten in a playoff last week by Alex Noren in the BMW PGA Championship. Had previously finished 5th in the Irish Open and shot 62-65 in the opening two rounds of the European Masters before poor putting let him down over the weekend. Every chance of gaining a deserved success back in his homeland.

Won the Houston Open on the PGA Tour earlier in the season but had gone off the boil of late. Bounced back last week in the BMW PGA Championship with an 11th place finish. This looks an easier assignment with the Ryder Cup team missing from the line-up.

Finished 10th in this tournament back in 2023 and looks primed for a bold show with Jon Rahm not in great touch. Rory McIlroy is unlikely to repeat his heroics of last week where he bagged the Irish Open after forcing a playoff with an eagle at the 18th. Aberg has 3 top-10 finishes in his last five tournaments and placed no lower than 23rd.

Won the tournament back in 2020 and was runner-up three years later. Could only finish down the field in the Irish Open last week (42nd) but was 4th in the US Open and 16th at Portrush in The Open Championship. One of the likelier winners.

A cold putter ruined any chance of contending at the Irish Open last week, although he still finished 15th. He has twice won this tournament though (2014 & 2022) and is always feared on this course. Worth keeping onside.

Runner-up to Billy Horschel in this tournament a year ago and could go one better. Missed the cut in the Irish Open last week, although that was understandable after his efforts in winning the European Masters the previous week. Blows hot and cold but could bounce back sooner rather than later.

Has terrific form around Wentworth with his last 3 visits here producing finishes of 12th, 5th, and 5th. Went off the boil after his 3rd place in the US Open but has bounced back of late with a 12th place in the Tour Championship and 7th in the BMW. Should make the frame once again.
