Has a terrific record in this event and warmed up with a 3rd place finish in the Sentry on first start of 2025. He won on the Korean Tour last season and was in solid form in the US without capturibng a title. He was also 4th in the Scottish Open and 7th in The Open itself and looks set for another productive season

Won over course and distance in December off a mark of 54 and then followed up at Southwell 9 days later. Kept busy and ran again at Southwell on 3rd Jan and finished 3rd off a new mark of 62. Still unexposed at this trip, having spent much of career racing over shorter, and should go close.

Finished runner-up in the Tour Championship after shooting 22 under. That was the best 72-hole score in the field but not enough to overhaul Scottie Scheffler for the title. The world number one is absent from the Sentry, and Morikawa has every chance given he has solid form in this event - 2nd in 2023 and 5th in 2022. A poor effort in the Zozo Championship can easily be forgiven and should make his presence felt.

The world number 5 couldn't match the heights of his stellar breakthrough season of 2023 but was runner-up 3 times, including the Masters at Augusta. He ended last year with a 6th place in the Hero World Challenge, and it's only a matter of time before he is back in the winner's enclosure.
