Won over course and distance in October off a mark of 91. Couldn't follow up a fortnight later when only 9th of 22, but that came at the end of a long season. Races off 94 this afternoon and has the assistance of Billy Loughnane in the saddle. Clearly loves the track, having won twice here before, and should go well.

Has made the jump from the LIV Tour and that will light a fire under the American, who had previously saved his best for the majors. Missed the cut in Phoenix but was 9th in the Cognizant Classic and 13th in the Players' Championship. Another decent show in the Valspar (18th) and slowly building to something like his best form.

Yet to win on the US PGA Tour, but that will surely come to an end this season. Difficult to catch right, but he has steadily improved since missing the cut in the Cognizant Classic. He finished 33rd in the Arnold Palmer and then improved on that with a 22nd place in the Players' Championship. He was third in the Phoenix Open in early February and is expected to improve on his 39th place in this event 12 months ago.

Could only finish 55th in the Valspar but had been in good form prior to that on the PGA Tour. Began the year over in Dubai and was 4th in the Desert Classic before heading to the US. Finished 3rd in Phoenix and 6th in the Cognizant Classic. Posted successive top-30 finishes in the Arnold Palmer and Players' Championship and is likely to threaten over the weekend.

Had finished 6th at Pebble Beach before that drop in form and has twice finished 7th in Houston in recent years (2020 and 2021). Likely to build on his most recent effort.

Missed the cut in the Valspar, but that was the only time he hasn't played the weekend so far. Should bounce back with a less competitive field.
