Carlos Sainz looks to be over his early season bedding-in period at Williams by now, as demonstrated by the fact that he has finished in the points at four of the five previous Grand Prix. He starts today's race from down in 16th, but that's not representative of his true pace, as on his qualifying push lap he was held up by Hadjar. If we instead look at the practice times, then Williams's long-run pace was 'best of the rest' behind the top four teams. All things considered, then, there are a lot of reasons why Carlos can feel confident of another top ten finish.

Ferrari only had the fourth fastest race pace during Friday's practice (3 tenths behind front-runners McLaren). So although Lewis qualified fifth on the grid, he may find it tough to maintain that position in the race, especially when you consider that he has Lando and Charles starting behind him. When you also consider the tough season that Lewis has been having, it seems risky to bet on Lewis making the top six at such short odds. There is far better value on a bet on Lewis not to make the top six, which is priced at a generous 5.5.
