Max and Lando start on the front row of the grid, but they find themselves in different situations in the title battle. Max needs to win to have any realistic chance of maintaining his championship hopes, whereas Lando has a comfortable margin in the standings, and can therefore afford to play it relatively safe in the race. With that in mind, I'm inclined to favour Max for the victory, especially when you consider that Max has the stronger record here, with a victory in 2023 and a 5th place finish last year versus Lando's record of a DNF in 2023 and a 6th place finish in 2024.

Carlos Sainz produced a superb lap in qualifying to line up third on the grid. It'll be a tough ask to hold onto third spot in the race and bring home a podium, but not impossible. Carlos proved in Azerbaijan - which is a similar street track to Las Vegas - that he's capable of keeping faster drivers behind him. So if he can repeat his Baku performance, then his odds of 6.0 for another podium may prove to be a touch on the generous side.

Odds of 4.5 for Albon to finish in the points seem excessively generous, especially when his team-mate Carlos Sainz demonstrated that there's definitely speed in the car when he finished third in qualifying. Alex has already claimed 11 top ten finishes this season from 21 Grand Prix, and although most of them came earlier in the season, the Williams has looked quick so far this weekend, so this could be the ideal race for Albon to return to the points. Finally, Las vegas is a circuit where overtaking is possible, so his starting position of 16th is less significant than at some races, and all things considered, Albon's odds of 4.5 for a points finish look to be an appealing bet.

Kimi Antonelli has three fastest laps already this season, and although the wet qualifying session didn't go his way, he nevertheless has pace this weekend, as he demonstrated when he finished 2nd in P2 and 6th in P3. Starting further down the grid, Kimi will be pushing to make progress through the field, and his odds of 15.0 for a fastest lap therefore provide a tempting punt for anyone looking for a small speculative bet.

Given that Alex starts down in 16th, this is a bit of a gamble, but it's worth remembering that Alex has already finished in the top six on 5 previous occasions so far this season. On top of that, Las Vegas is a track where overtaking is possible, so given that his team-mate Carlos Sainz qualified third on the grid, Alex will be hoping to make up several places during the race. It'll be a big ask for him to make it all the way to the top six, but at odds of 15.0, there is appeal in a small speculative punt.
