Portsmouth maybe struggling near the foot of the points table but their home form has been good. They have won five and drawn one of their last six league matches at Fratton Park. India won their last series 3-1 versus South Africa, whilst England also won their latest series by a 3-1 margin in the West Indies. Sydney Thunder to win is the forecast for this playoff game. Thunder have the likes of Warner and Green in excellent form and also have the home pitch advantage. Stars came from nowhere to clinch a playoff berth, winning their last five, but I reckon that this will be as far as they go.

Atletico Madrid have a strong home record in all competitions and this season have been scoring plenty of goals. Leverkusen are also an attack minded side who always look dangerous in front of goal. Could be an entertaining game but with home advantage I narrowly prefer the chances of Atletico.

Rangers had a poor start to their campaign, but things have much improved of late. They are now in mid-table and with a chance of pushing for a playoff place. Oxford are having a good first season back at this level, and are currently in mid-table. Their home form is impressive, with 25 of their total of 32 points gained at home. Luton are fighting a difficult relegation battle. They have the second worst away record with only four points from 13 away games, and a goal difference of 9/28. Oxford have won their last three home fixtures and are my prediction to beat Luton.

Gloucester have been given an 18.50 points start in the handicap for this game, which looks on the high side. Both teams have nine points apiece from the three games played by both of them. At home, Bayonne have a strong record, having won their last eight matches. Gloucester have been inconsistent on the road with three wins in seven. Three of those four losses came by a margin of less than eight points. Bayonne will probably win, but Gloucester look good on the handicap.
