Krejcikova was the winner at Wimbledon in 2024 and is starting to get back to that sort of form. She has been excellent at this event this week. She is number 45 in the world with today's opponent at number 484. Krejcikova has yet to drop a set this week and is the choice to win in straight sets.

Krejcikova is once again looking in top form on grass, winning all her matches in two sets. Montgomery has done well to reach this stage, but on grass Krejcikova is a different class. Krejcikova can win and cover the 4.50 games-won handicap.

Five runners have gone on to win since. Won a Class 3 handicap at Newbury before moving to the current trainer. Has had two runs for Ed Lynam. Won last time out at the Zvurragh over six furlongs. Kept on well to win a valuable handicap.

In the last ten years, these teams have met seven times, with Leigh winning six of them. The Leopards are in fine recent form, with five wins in their previous six games. Bradford have five wins from thirteen, which puts them in tenth spot in the standings. Leigh are just outside the top six and a play-off berth. Leigh to win.

Leigh have been in good recent form, winning five of their last six fixtures in Super League. Their only loss came by a narrow margin against Hull KR. Bradford have lost six of their last eight. Their only successes came against York and Hull. Leigh have won the last four meetings between these clubs, and are the selection to win and cover the handicap spread.

Osterode could be a good each-way alternative to the odds-on favourite in this race. Trained by W. McCreery, who has saddled the winner of this race twice in the last four runnings. This three-year-old filly is by Profitable. Sister to a smart filly who won at five furlongs and to a winner of a Group Three race. Out-course jockey Billy Lee takes the ride. Fitted with a visor for her debut.

Provence with an 8.50 points start are the selection in the handicap market. Playing at home is a big advantage in French club rugby. In these playoffs over the years the teams from the top division nearly always win, and there will probably be a similar outcome today. But it is a large handicap for Perpignan to overcome.

Switzerland are a good, consistent team with several players having tasted domestic success this year. They are a difficult team to beat, and I think only Bosnia and Herzegovina will pose a threat to them winning this group. Host team Canada will be spurred on by crowd support but lack that bit of quality to overcome the Swiss. Switzerland to win Group B.

With all of their group matches being played at home in Mexico and at altitude, Mexico are the predicted winners of Group A. They open the tournament with a game against South Africa. They have a strong record in tournament openers, unbeaten in seven and winning five. They have been in good form prior to the competition, winning six and drawing two of their last eight. Defensively, they look well drilled and have kept six clean sheets in those eight fixtures.

It has been a long time since a country has won back-to-back World Cups, so Argentina has been excluded from my list of potential victors. When the tournament is held in the Americas, it is usually a Latin American team that goes on to lift the trophy. Brazil look the best-equipped team to take home the spoils. Defensively well organized. Attacking options are plentiful. If their coach can get his best starting eleven, and with a strong set of players ready to come off the bench, they can go on and at least make the final.

Erling Haaland has looked in top form for Manchester City and has also done well for Norway in their qualifying games. Norway look like a top side who could go as far as the quarterfinals. With that in mind, Haaland looks great each-way value in the leading goalscorer market.
