Iroko pushed its already good rating up to a new level when winning last time out. The horse showed the benefit of a wind operation, and it should be able to come on again from that last run here. Its 2nd place to Grey Dawning over 27½ furlongs, when that horse was at its very best, was a fine effort. That run shows me that the horse will find today's distance right up its street.

Manlaga is a strong-travelling horse that won the Victor Ludorum last time out with the minimum of fuss. It looks a likely type for Cheltenham in that it can lay up with the leaders, then cruise past late in the race. It is lightly raced and has loads of scope.

If I was confident that Lulamba would put in a clean round of jumping, I would make the horse my NAP at the meeting. I am not, so I will tip the horse in the hope that it has had a lot of extra schooling over fences. It has a tremendous engine, and I am sure that if it is anywhere near the leaders a furlong out, it will win this race.

My Daddypaddy comes from the top Skelton yard and has already won 3 of its 4 races. It was the favourite for this race before running 2nd last time out. That defeat was at Aintree, and the thinking is that Cheltenham will suit the horse much more than that track. It is now a much bigger price than it would have been if it had won that last race, and it now looks good value for a place.
