Had three quite quick runs over hurdles, having been off the track for nearly three years following a winning rules debut in a bumper at Newton Abbot before making his handicap debut at Southwell last time. Finished well to grab 2nd late on without coming under too much pressure, and there should be further improvement to come over a slightly longer trip, having been raised 4 lbs by the handicapper.

Hasn’t won for some time, but as a result his mark has fallen quite dramatically and he’s now 17 lbs below his last winning mark. His latest effort, 9th of 18 at Fairyhouse, wasn’t devoid of hope moving forward. Whilst there is some doubt surrounding this particular trip, he can’t be totally ignored given his mark and with connections giving first-time blinkers a go.

Put up her best performance so far three starts ago at Gowran, finishing 4th of 15 over a mile. Went up in trip next time at Sligo for her handicap debut but raced too freely to give her a chance of staying that 11f trip, weakening late on. Back at 7f last time at Fairyhouse but never featured back in maiden company. She might be worth considering going back up in trip for her second handicap start from a 4 lb lower mark.

Received a considerate ride when making his racecourse debut over a mile at Gowran. That performance didn’t go unnoticed by the stewards, and he certainly looked like he had more to give as he crossed the line. This will hopefully tell us a lot more and is worth a second look.

Made a promising racecourse debut at Doncaster in April when third over 5f, shaping as though improvement will be forthcoming. Had a lot to find to beat the very short-priced favourite next time at Hamilton but wasn’t beaten far in chasing that one home. Moved up in trip next time at Doncaster but failed to give her running for no obvious reason. She was slowly away last time at Catterick, and although she still has scope for improvement, she needs to bounce back from a couple of poor efforts.

Ran to a useful level when trained in Poland. After a poor run in a Group 1 race at Longchamp, she moved to this yard and made her debut for them in a 10f handicap at Windsor last month, her first start for eight months. She was beaten in a photo finish and has to be a serious contender here, back in listed company and stepping up to 12f.

Looked a shade unlucky two over 5f at Pontefract in April when only 8th of 13. He was finishing well, having been badly hampered at a crucial part of the race. It was a similar story next time at Musselburgh over the same trip when a close-up 5th. He has had a bit more luck in his last two starts and produced two good efforts at Hamilton and, last time, at York. His mark has fallen to an attractive-looking one and he can go close here.

He went through the race well but didn’t get the breaks late on, so could be considered unlucky. He can hopefully avoid traffic problems here and get his head in front where it matters.

She looked in need of the experience and was a little keen but finished the race off well to take second spot late on. She ran to a similar level when switched to the AW last time when stepping up in trip. Up in trip again here, she looks a strong player.

The winner of her only start as a two-year-old, she returned to action over 7f in the Fred Darling at Newbury, where she finished a close-up 2nd. She failed to build on that, however, when only beating one other runner in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket next time. She drops back in trip and is down in class, and would be no forlorn hope if recapturing that Fred Darling form.

She’s quite a speedy sort and put that to good effect when a close-up 3rd of 16 at Epsom last time, making the most of her good draw. Tried in listed company here, she should cope and looks a strong player.

A winner of three of her races as a juvenile, she ran as though the race was needed on her return in a 6f handicap at Newmarket in the middle of April. She improved on that performance when a close-up 5th of 9 at Ripon next time but has failed to build on that from a falling mark in her last two starts, including when dropped back to 5f at Musselburgh last time. She needs to bounce back but is not out of this if she does.

She's a really smart mare who did well in some big races last year, including when a fine 2nd in last year's King George. Returning from a seven-month break, she looked as good as ever in landing a Group 3 race at Newbury. She has an enviable record at this track and looks sure to go close.

Having shown promise on his debut over 5f, he built on that in his second start when he seemed well suited to stepping up to 6f. He had to wait for a gap to appear, but once he got it he quickly put the race to bed. There could be a lot more to come and he can reward each-way support at big odds.

Had been kept busy on the AW at the start of the year, running respectably without winning. Switched to the turf at Naas at the end of April and ran better than the finishing position of 7th might suggest. Didn’t get the breaks during the race. Had been eased a couple of lbs by the handicapper ahead of his next effort, where the step up to 6f didn’t see him get home and he faded inside the final furlong. Much better back at 5f last time, and over the same trip here looks a player.

Made a pleasing debut in an extended mile maiden at Beverley in April and had her attention switched to the AW next time at Kempton, dropping back to 7f. That combination failed to bring about any improvement, and connections returned to turf at Leicester where she ran much better, beaten under two lengths when 5th of 10 over 6f. Her handicap debut last time at Goodwood wasn’t as bad as it might look, with the heavy ground clearly a contributory factor. Hopefully she can build on that here on more suitable ground, with the drop back to 5f unlikely to be a problem.

Ran well as a two-year-old, winning three times. The final one came at Newmarket in September when landing the Middle Park Stakes over 6f. He was a bit of a disappointment on his return at Ascot, but perhaps needed the run more than the market expected and duly improved last time back in listed company at Newbury. A good gallop here will suit, and he is one to consider.

He wasn’t in anything like the same form for that handicap debut when tried in first-time blinkers, only beating one other runner. He goes up to 12f now in a non-handicap, and with cheekpieces replacing blinkers he could go close if he puts it all in.

Seemed to appreciate a slightly stiffer track next time at Beverley when beaten in a photo finish over the same trip, and then ran creditably at Windsor.
