Made a promising chase debut in a decent contest at Galway in October over 22f, finishing 3rd after jumping safely throughout and not being given a hard ride. Shaped as if all wasn’t well last time here on heavy ground, but there should be plenty more to come if all is well.

Made a highly promising hurdles debut over this C&D a month ago. Hurdles well and kept on well all the way to the line, finishing 3rd of 9 runners. Set to progress further with experience and seems certain to be in the thick of things at the end.

Is a useful chaser and, despite not having won for nearly two years, has run some fair races. He finished in midfield at Aintree in April when contesting the Topham Chase over the National fences and might have been closer but for making a really bad mistake two out. He made a decent return here last month when third in the Grand Sefton. He can put his course experience to good use here and go close.

Maiden over points. He made a satisfactory Rules debut in a 20f novice at Gowran at the beginning of October and might have finished closer but for being hampered two out. There should be more to come at some stage, but he needs to bounce back from a couple of poor runs at Galway and, last time, at Gowran when dropped back to this sort of trip.

The winner of an Irish point, he made a promising Rules debut when a close 2nd over this C&D at the end of October. There should be plenty more to come, and he has an excellent chance of getting off the mark at the second attempt, although the price looks likely to be short.

Ran by far his best race yet over hurdles when making his handicap debut over two miles here at the beginning of November, doing his best work late on. As he stayed two miles on the flat, this step up in trip looks a good move. If he builds on that last effort, he will be hard to beat.

Has been in good form recently. Having won at Perth in early September, he might well have followed up that success at Kelso had he not been hampered late on, being forced to settle for a never-nearer third in the end. He ran to a similar level back at Perth next time when seemingly unsuited by the heavy ground. It looked like a similar story last time here over two miles. Back up in trip here, and while ground conditions may again be an issue, he can’t be left out of the calculations.

Did well for this yard in his three starts last season, all over fences, and appeared to show improvement as he gained experience over them. He finished the season with a victory here on heavy ground over two miles and could have more to offer. However, he needs to bounce back from a really poor return effort last time at Kelso despite strong market support.

Showed improvement on her first start for this yard at Hexham three starts back when making her handicap debut and stepping up to 20f from a mark of 74. Was doing good late work then before improving again from a 1 lb lower mark at Perth over a longer trip and was runner-up again last time at Sedgefield from her current mark. Should be more to come and looks a strong player.

Won his only start last season, a 9-runner bumper at Newcastle in February. He was towards the rear of the field early on before making a move turning in and striking the front two out, going on to win comfortably from another well-regarded runner. He was sent straight over hurdles on his return and was equally impressive, making a winning start over this C&D. He will take all the beating here under a penalty. The price will be short, but he looks to have a bright future.

Had been sent off at big odds in her first two starts over hurdles but had shown an aptitude for the game and improved on her debut effort when finishing a close 2nd at Worcester over two miles. Looked sure to go close again over the same course and distance next time when coming down three out, and it was a similar story back there next time but over a longer trip. Managed to complete last time at Uttoxeter despite several mistakes, so still comes with risks. But kept to two miles and with last time's jockey retained, she can go close.

Made the frame in a couple of bumpers last season and, following a 10-month break, ran encouragingly on his hurdles debut at Stratford last month. Wasn’t given a hard race, and if taking to these different hurdles, can improve enough to be seriously involved.

Has yet to show a great deal for this shrewd yard in four starts so far all over two miles. Is bred to stay much further and makes an early switch to fences up significantly in distance. Did finish 2nd in his only start in points so it will be interesting how the markets play out. Interesting at what could be a decent price.

Hasn’t really come close to troubling the judge in any of her four starts in novice events but showed a little more two starts ago at Killarney when 6th over 17f. Moved into handicaps last time at Sligo but failed to build on that previous effort. She goes back up in trip now and is worth a second look given her likely SP.
