Made a promising racecourse debut at Doncaster in April when third over 5f, shaping as though improvement would be forthcoming. She had a lot to find to beat the very short-priced favourite next time at Hamilton, but wasn’t beaten far in chasing that one home. She moved up in trip last time at Doncaster but failed to give her running for no obvious reason. She still has scope for improvement, so might be worth taking a chance on here back at 5f for her handicap debut.

A smart performer. He ran a cracker in this race last year when a close fourth, having encountered traffic problems on more than one occasion. He returned with a respectable effort at Goodwood, beaten less than a length in third after being off the track for 10 months. That should have put him spot on for this and he looks certain to go close.

Despite a pedigree that’s more geared to jumps than the flat, he’s proving useful under both codes and, at present, over a variety of trips. His latest effort saw him land a conditions race at Listowel over a mile. He now makes his handicap debut over a significantly longer trip, but he could be well up to this challenge and surprise a few.

Ran much better against her own sex last time at Nottingham, again over 5f. A similar performance in a slightly lower-grade race should see her go close.

Is a decent sprinter on his day, and he did well last season when winning three times. One of those victories came in this race. He ran poorly at York on his return from an 11-month absence but bounced back to form with an excellent 2nd in the Temple Stakes at Haydock last time. Likely to go close in his bid for back-to-back victories.

Did well to finish as close as she did two starts ago at Bath when finishing well after she finally managed to get a clear run. That was in a listed event over 5f. She stepped up on that last time at Newmarket and did well to finish as close as she did after a slow start. That was a Group 3 contest. Although this represents a further step up in class, if she gets away smartly she could go close at big odds with a clear run.

Seemed to know what was expected of him when making his debut in a 6f minor event at Nottingham two weeks ago. There may be some improvement to come, but this looks a tough ask on just his second start and he is probably playing for minor honours.

Had an excellent first season with this yard as a four-year-old, winning 4 of his 6 starts. He returned from a seven-month break to run an excellent 2nd in the Lockinge at Newbury. That run should have put him spot on for this and he won’t be far away.

She finished a never-nearer 7th in a 7f maiden at Catterick on her debut and looked more in need of the experience than some of her opponents on that occasion. She wasn’t beaten far but was well below that form next time at Thirsk over the same trip. That came just 10 days after her debut, and that might well have been a factor, as she was much better next time at Beverley over a marginally longer trip. She moved into handicaps last time at Ripon but didn’t get the clearest of runs late on. Kept to 8f here from a slightly lower mark, she is well worth a second look.

Made a pleasing debut in an extended mile maiden at Beverley in April and had her attention switched to the AW next time at Kempton, dropping back to 7f. That combination failed to bring about any improvement, and connections returned to turf last time at Leicester, where she ran much better, beaten under two lengths when 5th of 10 over 6f. Hopefully she can build on that for her handicap debut, kept to 6f.

Having pulled in a bumper on her only start in Ireland, she was sent over hurdles for her debut for this yard at Newton Abbot over 17f. She wasn’t given a particularly hard ride then, and it was a similar story last time at Worcester. While there should be more to come, probably when handicaps arrive she can reward each-way support here.

Made his handicap debut over 17f at Aintree last time but wasn’t helped by being held up too far back in a race where they went steadily early on. He finished the race off well. From a lb lower mark, he can do a lot better if ridden slightly differently with a first-time tongue tie applied.

She didn’t have a particularly hard race and duly improved with that run behind her when runner-up at Naas last time over the same trip. She looks the sort to improve plenty with experience and is a serious player here over a slightly shorter trip.

He was slightly below that form over the same trip last time at Newmarket, where he could only keep on at one pace. He goes up in trip now from a 3 lb lower mark and could reward each-way support.
