Had some fair form over fences in the early part of 2024 but was then off the track for 18 months, during which time he moved to this yard. He has struggled to find his form so far, having been sent back over hurdles by them, but the last two runs have been more promising. He was a respectable 4th over this C&D last time, and from a falling mark a repeat should see him even closer.

Had shown promise in his first three starts over hurdles, including when faced with an inadequate test of two miles at Cork three starts ago. Back over a more suitable trip next time at Limerick, he was disappointing, failing to beat another runner on his first start on heavy ground. Connections dropped him back to two miles last time at this course, and he ran much better, finishing a close 4th of 17. That was his handicap debut. He now goes up significantly in distance for his second run and shouldn’t be far away.

Had finished 3rd on his only start in a bumper before making his hurdles debut at Thurles at the end of November, following a nine-month absence. He made the running then and, having jumped soundly, only weakened late on as the lack of a recent outing told over an extended two-and-a-half-mile trip. Back in trip next time at Tramore, he ran to a similar level in finishing 2nd despite failing to justify strong market support, which saw him start at 4/9. Kept to two miles at Limerick last time, he was turned over again at even shorter odds but didn’t jump well. Hopefully he’ll jump better here and looks to have a decent chance if that’s the case.

Having been sent off at a shade of odds-on for his hurdles debut, he failed to justify that market support and was easy to back last time at Thurles when dropped back to two miles. He was given plenty to do then but didn’t get a hard ride and was noted passing mainly beaten horses late on. He can do a lot better here if ridden closer to the pace, despite being kept to two miles.

Bounced back from a fall on his return to action following a six-month break when finishing a close third two starts ago at Huntingdon, over two miles, having been given plenty to do. He ran to a similar level next time at Kelso but was well below that level last time at Musselburgh in a higher-grade race. This looks easier and can feature.

Got off the mark over hurdles at the second attempt before tackling a Grade 2 at Warwick last time. She was well beaten then but was still travelling well when getting badly hampered just as the race was taking shape. She can get back on track here, and with more luck in running looks the one to beat.

Can get back on track here and holds solid claims.

He was back at Musselburgh last time and finished 2nd for the third time, not beaten far. He is being kept away from handicaps by connections and looks capable of improving further to feature here. Probably the one to beat.

A useful hurdler. He was pulled up on his debut over fences at Chepstow in early December but was never jumping well. He was given a short break following that run and was much better last time at Musselburgh when keeping on to finish 2nd over 20f. There was more to take from her latest start. A respectable 4th of 16 in a two-mile novice at Chepstow, and she now moves into handicaps with connections resisting moving her up in distance. The yard's poor form is a worry, but she’s still well worth a second look.

Built on the promise she showed on her only start in bumpers when finishing a close 3rd on her hurdling debut at Wetherby on Boxing Day. That came over 19f, and while she is likely to stay further, she ran really well over this sort of trip at Uttoxeter last time when 2nd. That came on heavy ground, so this better ground raises a few questions, but she still looks a very strong player.

Had been off for 14 months when making his debut for this yard over 17f at Exeter in mid-November, finishing a close-up 3rd. He finished the race off strongly despite having pulled hard during the race. It was a similar story next time at Hereford when losing out late on. He was let down by his jumping last time over this particular C&D, where heavy ground might have played a part. He can get back on track here and, if settling better, won’t be far away.

Put up an improved performance on his second start over hurdles when second in a big-field novice at Huntingdon last time. He is built for chasing, but there should be further improvement to come over hurdles before making that switch. One to consider.
