Failed to get a clear run when it mattered and appeared to improve on that back there last time going up in trip from a 2lb lower mark. Eased a further pound by the handicapper and has to be of interest despite the slight drop in trip.

Been improving with each outing this year and was a running on 3rd of 13 three starts ago at the Curragh despite being unsuited by the drop back to 6f. Ran to a similar level next time at Fairyhouse when 5th back at 7f before running to a similar level last time at Limerick kept to 7f. Goes up slightly in trip here from a falling mark and looks interesting.

Had been off the track for 6 months when making a satisfactory return at Cork over 5f at the beginning of April, finishing a close-up 3rd. Shaped as though the run was just needed then but ran no sort of race back there next time when last of 12 over a slightly longer trip, albeit in a tougher race. Made his handicap debut over 5f again at Cork last time but was only 7th of 8, albeit not beaten that far. This looks a tough race and probably playing for minor honours.

Was asked to compete at Group level in some decent staying races last season but has found life a lot easier returned to handicap company on his starts following a 5-month break. Only just failed to land a race at Goodwood two starts ago and was a close-up 12th of 20 at Royal Ascot last time from a slightly higher mark. Looks a really strong player here over slightly shorter in a first-time tongue tie and returning to the AW for the first time since November 2023.

Looked to have benefited from a lengthy break when finishing a never nearer 6th in a 7f listed event at Musselburgh 11 days ago. In a handicap at Royal Ascot last time against her own sex and ran well despite a midfield finish after being carried right late on. Showed promise in a couple of juvenile events and returned after an 8 month absence in a mile race at Kempton but was on her toes in the preliminaries and didn’t show her form. Improved on that effort at Newmarket next time despite not appearing to handle the track and it was then a similar story at Lingfield when making her handicap debut over 7f from a mark of 71. Had been dropped 3lbs by the handicapper as a result ahead of her return to the AW and ran much better, losing out in a three way photo. Is back in novice company here and has strong claims.

Shaped as though he would be better for the run when finishing 3rd over 10f in a Derby trial at Leopardstown and improved on that when a closing 3rd in the Epsom Derby. A similar performance on this more galloping track could see him in the winner’s enclosure.

Had a couple of quick starts in April after returning from a 7-month absence. Finished 3rd at Gowran before finishing in midfield at Naas over the same trip and on handicap debut just 5 days later. Stepped up considerably on those efforts on her last two starts at Gowran and last time at Leopardstown where she was beaten just over a length, stepped up to 9f. Kept to that trip here with cheekpieces on for the first time and won’t be far away.

Finished 4th on his return over an extended 13f at Hamilton in May and might well have gone closer had he not been given a lot to do and avoided traffic issues when trying to make headway. Hasn’t been in quite the same form in two subsequent visits to that track and is now asked to tackle two miles by connections in a higher grade race. Has suggested that a step up to this sort of trip might suit and given his likely SP could make the frame at big odds.
