Eased a further 2lbs by the handicapper and is well worth considering in the hope he can bounce back and given his likely SP.

Moved into handicaps last time at the Curragh, finishing a respectable 4th over an extended 6f. Here, from what looks an inviting mark and dropping back to 6f, could go close. Goes up slightly in trip here from a 2lb lower mark and can go close.

Was back from a 7 month break when finishing a close up 3rd at Haydock in a 7f handicap off a mark of 97. Was staying on well at the finish but ran as though all wasn’t well with him at York next time when 13th of 14. Bounced back somewhat at Haydock last time when finishing close up in midfield over an extended mile trip. Hopefully he can improve again here back at 7f and if so should feature, racing from a slightly lower mark.

Had a good three year old campaign and looked as good when returning from a 7 month break to finish a close up 3rd over an extended 7f at Musselburgh in mid April. Another promising effort last time at Ascot when a close 5th of 17 in the Victoria Cup over 7f. Seemed unsuited to the drop back to 6f last time and likely to be more at home over the 7f trip today.

Had finished a close up 4th on his racecourse debut at Kempton last year but improved on that effort when returning to action at Doncaster after a 9 month break. That run had clearly sharpened him up and he ran well to finish 2nd at Nottingham next time over an extended mile trip. Not quite so good switched to the AW last time but has to be of interest here back on turf and making his handicap debut.

Improved on that when beaten in a photo finish over two miles at Ayr next time and then ran well, over a similar trip at Catterick before a slightly below par effort at Carlisle last time. Looks capable of further improvement and looks to hold strong place claims up slightly in class.

This fairly useful handicapper bounced back to form last time at York having been running moderately on the AW prior to that switch to turf. He was given plenty to do over the 7f trip but was keeping on nicely and if building on that looks a decent each way shout.

Isn’t an easy horse to catch right but hasn’t run too badly in either of his three races following a six month break. Finished in midfield last time at Ascot dropping back to 7f in the Victoria Cup. Is kept to that trip here having been eased a further 3lbs by the handicapper and with winning form over this distance could surprise.

Showed useful form as a two-year-old and returned to action at Naas in March over the longest trip he’d raced over, a mile, and on the worst ground he’d encountered, so can be forgiven that blip. Back at a much more suitable trip and on better ground the last twice, and we’ve seen a much better performance in both races. Looks a strong player going up in grade.

Was having his first run for this yard when in midfield over 10f at Navan two starts ago. That was his first start for 7 months and might have finished closer had he got a clear run from a furlong out. More like it next time at Roscommon when a close 5th dropping back to an extended 7f and ran to a similar level at the Curragh last time under anything but a hard ride. Mark has eased slightly and holds decent claims despite the drop back to 7f.

Ran better than the form book might suggest at Doncaster at the end of March when 4th of 21 in a mile handicap. Found himself short of room on more than one occasion but kept on. Again ran better than the result suggests when 6th of 12 over a similar trip at Sandown last time, badly hampered soon after the start. There should be more to come from him and well worth a second look.

Looked unlucky not to make a winning return when having to settle for 3rd spot over an extended 10f at Haydock, having had to wait for gaps to appear from 3f out. It was a similar story at Newbury last time when she was also too keen. Hopefully, those traffic problems won’t reoccur here, and from a lb lower mark, is worth considering.
