Rarely seems to run a bad race these days and was an excellent 2nd on his return to action at Pontefract last time following a short break. That was over 5f, so this extra furlong shouldn’t be a problem, and he can take advantage of this drop in class.

Had a lot to find to beat the very short-priced favourite last time at Hamilton but wasn’t beaten far. Moves up in class now but still has scope for improvement, so might be worth taking a chance on.

Ran well as a two-year-old, winning three times. The final one came at Newmarket in September when landing the Middle Park Stakes over 6f. He was a bit of a disappointment on his return at Ascot, but perhaps needed the run more than the market expected. Looks one to follow this year in decent sprints and can bounce back here.

Proved consistent as a three-year-old and returned in a listed event at Leopardstown in April when a close-up 5th of 11 on what was his first start for eight months. He failed to build on that back there last time in a similar contest. It seems he’s in here to act as pacemaker for the stable’s more fancied runners but could get an easy, uncontested lead and hang on for minor honours.

A winner of her debut in a mile minor event at Yarmouth in October, but left that form well behind when stepped up to listed company on her second and final start at Newmarket the following month. That was over the same trip, and she was only collared late on to finish a respectable 2nd. She again ran well back there on her return from a six-month break when stepped up to 10f and won’t be far away if kept to that same trip.

He moved into handicaps last time at Haydock from a fair-looking mark and finished the same position over a longer trip, which might have found him out despite his pedigree. Back at two miles now from a slightly lower mark, he holds strong claims.

Very much caught the eye when making his racecourse debut over an extended 10f trip at Nottingham at the beginning of April. He finished that race off really well and was beaten by just over a length. He has every chance of leaving that form behind if he takes to this very different track and holds strong claims.

Progressive as a two-year-old and, having landed a small-field Group 2 at Leopardstown on his third start, he was sent off a fairly short-priced favourite for his final race of last season, the Group 1 Futurity at Doncaster. He finished 3rd of the 5 runners but wasn’t beaten far and simply failed to handle the heavy ground. He can show he’s better than that back on a quicker surface and is the one to beat.
