Has made a quick switch to chasing having had just a couple of starts over hurdles last season. That chase debut came at Naas a month ago over two miles, finishing 3rd of 16. Will stay further than this, but a similar performance will see him take all the beating.

Had been running pretty well on the flat before returning to hurdling at Huntingdon over 20f in mid-November. Weakened late on, then before falling at the final flight when well beaten, having been surprisingly stepped up to three miles. Is back at two miles here, and if none the worse for that fall can put in a much stronger performance from a falling mark.

Ran better than the distance he was beaten by might suggest when returning from an eight-month absence to finish 5th of 14 in a two-mile novice at Ayr a month ago. He was keeping on nicely, and with that run behind him, he is one to consider here over the same trip.

Showed quite a bit of improvement on his second start over hurdles when runner-up over an extended two miles at Hereford last time, staying on steadily. A similar performance would see him firmly in the frame, although a longer trip might have been beneficial.

Had won his first two starts for this yard, both over hurdles, and looked set to continue that good form when making his chase debut at Bangor, only to come down at the last when still travelling strongly. Hopefully that hasn’t knocked his confidence and he can gain compensation here.

Had some fair form on the Flat before showing promise on hurdles debut at Kempton a month ago, and improved on that last time at Warwick when staying on into fourth. Moved into handicaps last time at Plumpton to finish a staying-on third over two miles from a mark of 100. Races off the same mark here, and chances have to be respected.

Managed to win 4 points but failed to build on that when trained in Ireland prior to moving to this yard earlier this year. Made his debut for them at Perth in September when a close fourth in a three-mile chase, and bettered that run when only beaten a neck over a similar trip at Kelso last time. Looks the one to beat.
