Has to go close with Ryan Moore a very eyecatching booking. Won this last year on seasonal reappearance and obviously goes well fresh. Had a high draw last year and though central enough today can track the pace wherever it develops. 6lb higher today but has run well off higher marks and was one I followed last year. Take away last run was most consistent and placed in some really competive valuable handicaps including tge Lincoln itself at Doncaster. Best form seems to be early in the season and as long as ground is not too heavy he had a fine chance. Has won at the Curragh in the spring for the past two years and we know goes well in big fields. Cracking chance.

Was fourth in a Grand Annual here once and is start to look too well handicapped to ignore as is 7lb lower than that cracking run here in 2024. Has twice run poorly in the Coral Cup but caught my eye last time with a second over fences in the Grade 2 Red Mill's Chase behind Impaire Et Passe and obviously connections were minding his hurdle mark. Booking of top notch apprentice catches my eye and yard always try hard to win this given trainer's link to Martin Pipe. Tenuous link I know but he's won this plenty enough. EW shout on best form and Eoin Staples was plodding on for maybe a place on HMS Seahorse earlier in the week but for tipping up late on and booking really catches the eye.

I remember this fella looking like he was going to win the 2024 Gold Cup when he had a quality field on the stretch and that was despite a couple of mistakes. Faded late on in the heavy ground to only finish 4th but will love today's quicker ground. Has run creditably this season despite yard being bang out of form and can turn the tables on Haiti Coleurs or at least finish close to him as goes well at the track. Actually has a 6lb pull with Spillane's Tower too for less than a length defeat in the Cotswold Chase and had Grey Dawning behind there. I'm not sure of the King George form where they finished in a heap and Venetia has banged in a 66-1 winner already this week. We've seen this week if getting on the front end you go close so I'm all in another 11yo in a race that looks ripe for a boil over. Who won the Stayers???

Grade 1 winning novice chaser and though the Cotswold is a poor trial for this these days I'm thinking this year's renewal might be the key to this year's Blue Riband event. Showed plenty of stamina to hold off the rallying L'Homme Presse there and acted as if a couple of more furlongs wouldn't be insurmountable. I gave my doubts about this year's King George as they all finished in a heap and if this fella gets a nice lead which I'm sure he will from L'Homme Presse and Haiti Colouers he can rally home and nail this or go very close.

I like this one stepping up in trip and looks a stayer with a touch of class. Won a point to point and then ran a blinder to finish third in the Champion Bumper at the 2024 Festival not far behind Jasmin de Vaux and Romeo Coolio so has performed in the cauldron. Catches my eye that he had The Passing Wife well behind one day in another bumper and though that has no bearing on what these do over hurdles it is still in the form book. Unexposed at staying trips and yard know how to win this race. Won his maiden hurdle easily last time from a subsequent winner in Healys Pub and could surprise a few here. Seems to act on any ground so rates a nice prospect.

Was spared a gruelling finish when pulled up in the Irish Gold Cup last time and probably wouldn't of stayed either so dropping in trip and class can see her bounce back. I noted her when she made Jade De Grugy pull out all the stops over hurdles at a big price but she has excelled since going chasing. Five on the spin mark her down as a quality mare and she goes on any ground. She is a grade 1 winner over fences already and beat the likes of Firefox, Champ Kiely & Down Memory Lane at Fairyhouse last year and all of those gents have won since! A lovely type who jumps well and goes on any ground so though this looks her toughest assignment back in amongst her own sex she can go well. I like her a lot and she can go close

Noel Meade has already plotted up the Bumper here in fine style and his only other runner has really caught my attention. Quality on the flat and nailed Ndaawi in the Grade 3 Galway Hurdle last summer only to get demoted after a bit of argy bargy close home. Now I fancy that consistent sort to run well here so how can I not save on this one from a very shrewd yard. The third in that Galway Hurdle, Casheldale Lad is Grade 1 placed since behind Lossiemouth and had Hello Neighbour well held there too. On that form alone this one has a mighty chance back over hurdles and on good ground yet is double the price of Hello Neighbour. Another Meade plot???? Maybe! We can all dream.

Second in this last year after a long break and connections might of rued not having a prep as may well of won if match fit and they haven't made that mistake this year with an eyecatching spin at Dundalk recently. On that form alone from last year's renewal has a mighty chance as look what the winner Kargese had done....only took out an Arkle! Loves these huge field handicaps and has a touch of class so won't mind the weight and has good claimer booked who gave Franciscan Rock a peach of a ride here in second on Wednesday. Don't forget was third in a Fred Winter here two years ago and if you're playing a placepot just on Festival form alone is a banker selection. Will love the hurly burly of the race and though there are better handicapped horses this is obviously his target.

Along with Ndaawi looks the EW bet of the day as comes here with form rubber stamped no end by Saratoga who took out the Fred Winter in fine style on Tuesday. This one readily out pointed that one despite a strong challenge and was actually pulling away at the end. On a tenuous form line through Munsif /Geneaology/Winston Junior et al has as much chance as Minella Study and looks a tough sort. Unbeaten and hopefully it all clicks for yard today who have some huge chances. Must go close and could well still be unbeaten by the end of the opener.

I like Herakles Westwood but seeing as 8 of the last 10 winners have been 7 or 8yo's I'm siding with something less exposed. Irish bred horses go well too with 7 of the last 8 being Irish bred. This one had a spin over hurdles last time but was spared a hard race as was pulled up late on and is totally unexposed as a staying chaser. Had earlier finished third to Knight of Allen at Newbury the time before and that one chased home subsequent NH Chase winner Holloway Queen since. The second that day Aviation has won since too and both of those enjoyed stepping up in trip. Won his bumper on good ground and did win a handicap chase last March at the stiff Hexham so this looks his time of year. Yard have to be respected here despite poor record in the race over the last 10 years but we all know they're going to click sometime. Stepping this one up in trip could be the one that works the oracle.

Winners of trials for this have awful records in the final itself but this consistent tough sort can't be ignored. Supremely West has been all the rage as a blot but my fancy has finished in front of that one twice by over a combined distance of over 56 lengths and the prices don't make sense to me. Love the booking of Callum Pritchard who gave him a lovely ride at Sandown to win and also gave Moon D'Orange a corking ride on Tuesday to land me a lovely EW punt. Was also dead unlucky on Imperial Saint who got mullered in the Ultima before finishing well. 3lb claim puts this fella on a very fair mark and as a C&D winner to boot has a blinding chance. Yard's sole runner today and they aguably have been unlucky too with Sober Glory a near must in the Supreme as well as Imperial Saint's woes. Fast ground would be tgd only worry.

Tip top Grade 1 winning hurdler who won the Ballymore here three years ago but is proving high class as a chaser too. Grade 1 winner at Aintree last season and though missed the last two Cheltenham Festivals is a tough as teak and can make amends for those absences by winning here. Will get a nice tow into the race from owner's other runner Matata and can outgun Fact To File who though bolting up at the DRF on bad ground might not back that up here. Blew the cobwebs away just a month ago in the Red Mills at Gowran Park and will handle the ground no matter what happens with the weather. I'm worried about Fact To File coming here to win a second Ryanair and owner running Jonbon too so to so let's forget about my fancy burnt Gold Cup voucher on Fact To File and hope this fella wins this race well.

Have to back Ballyburn as at a gathering with punty pals in December over a pint or two stated this was the Stayer's Hurdle winner after he narrowly failed to nail Teahupoo in the Hatton's Grace. Won the Baring Bingham at the Festival two years ago and though was very disappointing over fences in the Brown Advisory last season is arguably the most talented horse in here. Teahupoo turned the form around in the Christmas Hurdle but if Ballyburn is on a going day he must go close given had all the ability in the world. By an Old Vic mare he promises to stay all day and with the first time hood on too hopefully he can settle and gun these down late on. Goes on any ground and as is still only an 8yo can take high rank ad a staying hurdler.

I can't resist a saver on the former King George winner who will absolutely love the drying ground. Goes well fresh too and won on seasonal debut over hurdles in October beating John McConnell's Moon D'Orange who did me a nice punting favour by running a mammoth race in the Ultima on Tuesday. Won last March too over hurdles at Thurles on good ground beating Asterion Forlonge easily by 5l and on that form alone would have as much chance as Teahupoo given the collateral form lines. Shark Hanlon has campaigned this bargain buy brilliantly and if 11yo Bob Olinger is fancied to run well why can't we expect the same from this old boy. The Film that will come out about this fella one day might just have a different ending. Wasn't disgraced in the Grand National either last year so is no back number just yet. One can dream can't one...it is St Patrick's Day after all and The Shark sounded as if this was a plan.

Love this horse's battling quality and may well be unbeaten over fences but for tipping up at the last at the November meeting here. Made amends by winning at Doncaster and back here in January when nutting Quebecois close home and how good does that form look now with that one running a huge race in the Ultima. Only wins by as much as he needs too so may well still be ahead of his mark and good ground the only imponderable for me but handled it at Aintree so should be fine whatever happens with the weather. On a line through Califet En Vol has a bit to find with Sixmilebridge but that one has run averagely at the past two Festivals. Yard in form and their Leave Of Absence was a big eyecatcher in 5th in that aforementioned Ultima. Huge chance for me.

Trip might be a bit on the short side but with Bambino Fever, Full Of Life & Diamond Du Berlais all liking to front run she might get a lickety spilt pace to aim at. I love this improving mare who keeps winning as steps up each time in grade and can handle this weak looking Grade 3. Stays well and still rueing my 50-1 ante post voucher for the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett didn't get a chance to be shown off as thought she'd have a right chance stepping up to 3m there. Anyway Cheltenham's loss is Limerick's gain and Brian Hayes who gets a fine tune out of this likeable mare swerves a third day on the Cotswolds to come home and try to plunder this prize. He goes back to Cheltenham for Friday so must be significant he has come back to ride this one who should relish the step up in trip. Hits the line hard and travels well through her races so can stay on strongly here to beat all.

I always look at Jody Townend in a bumper as she is brilliant in this sphere and has a 25% strike rate in NH Flat races (56-227) and a further 50 places from those rides to boot. Won nicely on yard debut beating a dirt that chased home another Mullins decent bumper horse called Look Me who is worth following too. Jody won this last year on Bambino Fever and though probably handed a rank outsider here could go well on her only ride and for yard who can win this with a big priced sort. EW squeak but I'm only guessing based on the fact I follow jockey blind.

I'm really warming to this fella who won over C&D on seasonal debut and will absolutely relish the drying ground. Beat Jasko Des Dames there who was 5th in this race last year and the fact he followed up in another competive handicap tells you this one is classy. Career high mark but was dropped into a higher grade last time and still ran with credit behind Lulamba in the Game Spirit. Is a game sort at best and must be backed for the Skeltons who despite having the favourite have a strong shout with this one too. Very lightly raced for an 11yo and comes here in the form of his life after winning the Paddy Power Chase and the Cross Country on last two starts. That Paddy Power form nearly got a very timely boost yesterday by Search For Glory who surely would of gone close in the Ultima but for unseating after the last. C&D win last time was very notable on the clock and seemed way quicker than anything Stumptown has clocked recently. Getting 5lb from the defending champ tips the scales in his favour for me and hopefully Gordon Elliott has a better day today.

Handled good ground in France and comes here on a roll after winning a Grade 3 so stepping back up in trip I have to have a saver on. Lightly raced for age and yard did win this with a similarly classy 6yo who was brilliantly ridden by Danny Mullins last season and I'm expecting a big run today. Was pig sick when this one unseated at Sandown last time as couldn't get the way he jumped and won the Kauto Star at Kempton on good ground in December out of my mind. Probably the ground was too soft too that day so better ground here may help. Was a good hurdler but is a cracking chaser and actually beat Kaid D'Authie in a beginners chase in November yet is three times the price of that subsequent Grade 1 winner. Had Wendigo behind at Kempton too and though can tend to jump right is a classy individual. The drier the ground goes the more I'll like his chances and as a Grade 1 winner already he can go well in this company. Has to prove stamina but if getting on a roll on the front end can lead these a merry dance for a long way. If the jumping right tendency does rear it's head might not even get round so looks a win or bust bet for me, but has the form in the book and ground is coming right to get involved here.

Looks an awfully big price to me considering pushed Old Park Star to 3.5l giving the Supreme winner 6lb at Kempton in November. Followed that up with an emphatic 24l romp in a novice hurdle and got up Fontwell's stiff finish there so won't mind this sort of test. Chased home Kripticjim in a Grade 2 here in January and was only 2l behind Taurus Bay there yet is four times the price of that one here. They had Heads Up well beat that day and the Champion Bumper runner up had earlier got to with 3l of No Drama This End in a Grade 2 at the November meeting here and is a Listed winner since. Obviously has plenty to find but did win over 2m3f on maiden hurdle debut so promises to stay this far and won't mind good to soft ground. Broke the Challow hoodoo by winning last year's Baring Bingham/Turners or whatever name you want to call it but went straight into my notebook as a Champion Hurdler à la Istabraq, Hardy Eustace & Rock On Ruby et al. Unlucky not to be unbeaten in my opinion as I thought was going to win the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle before departing 2 out. Looks like will get a strong pace to aim at and the final hurdle being further back a bit can only help this strong finisher like it did in the Unibet Hurdle. Lossiemouth being supplemented adds a bit of a fresh challenge but we're getting a nicer price now. Travels well, stays well and will relish the climb up the hill especially if getting a nice tow into the race. Looks rock solid and I think is a good thing despite late challenger muddying the waters. Yard having a cracking season and I feel could bag some huge prizes today.

It is hard to get last season's emphatic win out of one's mind and despite jumping concerns didn't hit a fence last year. I'm struggling to find the usual unexposed sort in here over this trip and this race is one for the Brits and repeat offenders. In fact the yard's Corach Rambler won this twice and they couldn't be in better form with 5 winners from last 10 sent out. Despite 15lb higher mark still looks on a fair mark getting weight from some dodgy stayers at the head of the market. If getting on a roll on the front end could well stretch the ones with stamina to prove but could also make a mistake at any time so looks a win or bust bet for me. Ground should be spot on and have backed for the Grand National so am hoping for a massive run today for yard who know how to win this race.

When you think was beaten in a Truimph by Majborough who could well be a Queen Mother winner come Wednesday and who was nearly an Arkle winner last year then that's good Festival form. Bolted up in the County last year despite being a tad keen and could well go well from the front, and if getting an easy lead could well get away form the stronger stayers. County form looks decent too considering the beaten have won serious prizes between them under all codes. 5 x 6yo French breds have won this in the last 10 years and this one getting 7lb from stablemate Kopek Des Bordes and being a year older than Lulamba fits the trends bill for me despite not winning last time out in the Irish Arkle. Jumps well and got a second wind last time to nearly reel in Romeo Coolio and won't mind the drying ground. A top 3 finish will do my ante post punt but I'm starting to think could actually win this, as might be hard to peg back in this "speed contest" and if over her exertions last time out.

Was only second in the Formby at Aintree but wasn't helped by fences being omitted there but he did beat Glance At Midnight by 25l which is double the distance that Old Park Star beat that rival when they clashed at Cheltenham in December. Dam was decent and I remember her running in the Olbg mares race behind Apples Jade & Vroum Vroum Mag a decade ago. Could be an Arkle horse in time and won't mind the drying ground. Good jumper who can outrun odds.

Last year's winner must of been plotted up to have a fair crack at defending his crown and off just a 3lb higher mark has to be backed especially as this renewal doesn't look as strong as last year's renewal to my eye. Showed a great attitude to battle back last year and went on to finish only 9th in the Irish Grand National but that can be excused after the gallant effort he'd put in here a month earlier. Made an eyecatching reappearance at Limerick in December in a Listed Chase plodding on over a trip too short into fourth place. The fact those in front have run well since and from those behind two have come out and won the form form looks pretty good. That should of blown away the cobwebs and this lightly raced 10yo looks a corking EW punt especially stepping back up in trip. Confident punt for me with plenty of the yard's recent runners running well. Will love the ground and as the only C&D winner in here looks mighty value.

Made one of my current favourite horses Zanoosh pull out all the stops last time in a handicap hurdle at Navan and considering that game mare is a Listed winner since the form looks good. That effort followed a cracking effort at Leopardstown in December when only just failing to nail the decent The Nagger Reidy in a head bobber and still looks on a fair mark. Very lightly raced fir a 9yo and though a good chaser too latest two starts over hurdles have been very decent efforts against quality rivals. Will take some beating here and though died like decent ground has plenty of good form on heavy going. Very confident EW selection for me especially as turned that form around with the reopposing The Nagger Reidy last time. Better Times Ahead is respected returning to hurdles but I'm suspecting there are bigger days ahead for that one over fences and my fancy is a fair shout. Yard in fair form with 3 winners from 11 runners this calendar year and will want to soften the blow of Marine Nationale missing the Queen Mother with a winner here.

94 rated on the level and has to be backed here dropping significantly in class as wasn't disgraced at the DRF last time in Grade 1 company behind Talk The Talk. Had earlier pushed Koktail Brut close in the Grade 2 Royal Bond at Fairyhouse and I'm surprised is not favourite here. Yard been a bit quiet but I'm expecting them to bounce back here with some eyecatching entries including this one who was in the Supreme on Tuesday. 2m his trip and loves dig in the ground so looks sure to go close given his form is arguably the best of these. I have no doubt he is the best horse in the race and looks a value bet.

Had blinding bumper form last season and was a Grade 2 winner before finishing the season with a third in a Grade 1 to Cheltenham bound Bambino Fever who is well fancied there. Has contested two strong maidens over hurdles and chased home subsequent Grade 2 Royal Bond winner Koktail Brut on season return and hurdles debut. This is a significant drop in grade and despite yard going through a quiet spell without a winner since December they roll out a couple of decent ones here dropping in class. Looked as if a step up in trip would suit when winning his bumpers and won't mind heavy ground. Actually looks a fair price in this company and is a very solid favourite to get us off to a winning start.

Was good enough to win a Listed Mares' bumper on debut with a couple of these behind including Lune Brilliante and showed a cracking attitude that day. Went into the notebook as looks to have plenty of scope and looked very game. Wasn't disgraced pitched in with the boys on next start and must be fancied back in with the girls despite giving 4lb to all. Yard 3-13 in bumpers this season with a further 5 places too and are 6-18 at Sandown this season returning a +£5.22 lsp so can hopefully improve on those returns here. Lune Brilliante was unlucky enough last time behind my fancy and has to be respected but this one looks a lovely mare and is a cracking EW punt.

Has improved no end since switching from the Twiston-Davies' despite unseating on debut for new yard. Has since finished 221 in three starts at Musselburgh and though that is a flat track did win at Exeter in a bumper for previous yard so should handle this stiffer track especially as ground conditions looks perfect. Has twice finished in front of Afadil who was third in this race last year and that gives him a form line into his chances in this race. Won cosily last time out in the very competitive Scottish County Hurdle and that could be form to follow as the third that day has since finished a close third in the Morebattle Hurdle at Kelso and the 9th placed horse had won subsequently too. Looks way overpriced to me despite stepping up in grade and deserves 7lb hike for last win as looks on the upgrade. Worth a poke at this and could well surprise a few here at a nice price.

Like this one's form and profile and when you consider was placed in three bumpers behind Sober Glory, No Drama This End and Gaelic Pride who have all boosted the form no end since switching to hurdles themselves he has to be backed. Finally got off the mark last time over hurdles on third start , bolting up at Market Rasen after two narrow defeats and deserves step up in grade. Yard won this last year with a lightly raced sort on the upgrade so should be feared again with this progressive sort who looks a cracking EW punt.

Was just making a move when near enough brought down by a faller on the bend. May well of given tge winner something to think about but also may of finished well ahead of a horse called For A Moment. The latter had earlier got to within a couple of lengths of the likely favourite here Malina Girl and though we are guessing at the unknown on likely evidence my fancy could well be a big price. If settling better for powerful connections looks a fair ew player here.

Has turned a new leaf this season as a chaser and ran well in hatrick bid trying to give Pure Carbon 8lb at Musselburgh last time. Was caught a bit flat footed before staying on again so step back up in trip will suit. I really fancied Pure Carbon yesterday but was pulled out and Koukeo can frank that one's form again as is also a rapid improver. Flat tracks suit and off a low weight has a cracking chance of bouncing back to form and looks an EW play for me. Has a Jack Richards entry for Cheltenham and though is up in grade here looks a chaser on the up. Has been on my radar since having the very decent Non Iron over 10l behind at Windsor on New Year's Day and that one has franked that form nicely since too. Decent ground will suit and looks on a fair mark considering is a progressive sort.

I was at Newbury courtesy of our own Olbg when this made his debut in a bumper and he caught the eye as an imposing sort with plenty of scope. Couldn't win a bumper or hurdle but has been decent over fences and form figures of 21U1 read well enough. Won a bit cosily last time despite narrow margin and 4lb rise looks fair especially as drops in grade. Surprised is not favourite and the drier the ground gets the more I fancy him. Needed all of Musselburgh's straight to get up last time and this more galloping track and run in looks tailor made and he looks mighty value to me as not sure main rival's form is as good as his. Been following this fella so have to go in again given he is so lightly raced for a 7yo and making into a fine chaser.

If you can get even money that looks a steal especially as bumper form from his run here last March is stacking up nicely over hurdles. Was fourth to Kadastral who I think is very decent and has won a maiden hurdle before chasing home Sober Glory. The second Talk The Talk is a Grade winner since and Harry Derham's third Klub de Reve is a Grade 2 winner subsequently you. My fancy made a pleasing hurdles debut and trainer targets this race. Drying ground will suit and this lightly raced, well bred point to point winner looks a shoe in despite a notable challenge from Ireland. The Paul Nolan raider is making this one a very attractive price.

Has been on my radar for so long after finishing a good second in a decent Cheltenham Listed Bumper. Was second at Chepstow the time before that effort and can you believe Supreme hot pot favourite Old Park Star was over 7l behind!!!! Obviously very flattered by that but has won over hurdles and relishes heavy ground as won his bumper on debut on it. Was a bit disappointing last when I was at Sandown and fancied him strongly but he only faded late on and that form could look better if Crackerjacque lands the opener. Handicap debut here and Paddy Hanlon who has built up a solid relationship with trainer takes off a valuable 5lb which will help on this ground. Holds a Grade 1 Cheltenham entry so you'd like to think can go close here and has been on my tracker so long can hopefully reward that faith that there is a good race in him. Big shout.

I was at Sandown when this fine stamp of a horse completed the four timer and was impressed with his physique and ability to power through the heavy going that day. Obviously had a tough race and is up another 6lb but is quickly on the upgrade and will relish this track and going. Yard in good form and a shade of odds against looks generous. Looks a throwback to an old fashioned National Hunt horse and will take a lot of beating if over Sandown exertions. Form has improved no end since Sean Bowen got in the plate this season and the pair can complete the nap hand here with the five timer despite quick reappearance. The slight doubt about whether Sandown has left a mark is the fact that opposition all have question marks about their recent form. We know this fella is bouncing and he'll be hard to beat.

Very interesting is the fact the Skelton's take on Potters Charm here after another one of their other mares Take No Chances wasn't far behind the top weight last time. Has a plethora of Cheltenham entries and won't want to leave her race here but is in the form of her life and connections will want that Grade 2 on her CV. Getting 6lb off Potters Charm will help and I really like this game mare who will relish this test on a stiff track on tough going. Nice price too.

I was at Sandown the last day when this fella ground it out on awful ground and I thought he needed a step up in trip. Surprised to see him out so quickly off a double penalty but he looks to have a touch of class too. Only real flop was in a Grade 2 behind No Drama Thus End at Sandown but was running well before fading late on and that one is a Grade 1 winner too. Is a course winner here and I'm also surprised is not favourite as I think is a stronger stayer with a touch more class than main rival Gaelic Pride. Can give the weight away and I just feel has been mixing it in a better class than he faces here.
