Has plenty of form with many of these to suggest is too big a price and was third in this very race to Storm Star last year and though is just a 1lb better off now does come here in better from than that one this time around. Ran well last time at Kempton keeping on at the one pace behind the decent Mount Athos and will enjoy the step back up to a mile. Can't believe is only a 5yo as is a horse I've followed for years since doing me some big favours at big prices on the turf in the past and though this is a stronger race than last year this C&D winner could go well at a price. Catches the eye as yard's sole runner on the card and they have a cracking 7 winners from 31 runners at a 23% strike rate with a return of +6.50 lsp this season at the track. Drifting out in price is a slight negative but should run his race and looks likely to get a strong pace to aim at and can stay on late to hopefully grab a place.

Can't resist a saver on this improving sort who is 312 for yard since switching from France into the all weather catching the eye staying on strongly over easier miles than this stiff one. Looks sure to appreciate a strong pace to aim at, if we get one mind but I'd say we will and this unexposed gelding could be on a fair mark on just second handicap start. Beaten by a stablemate last time when a well fancied favourite but still caught the eye finishing out race well. Yard in fair form and I've backed a couple of winners from them over the last week with sorts who'd caught the eye previously and this one did catch the eye last time on handicap debut. A tardy start meant he had a lot to do as stablemate got first run but the stiffer nature of the track here looks sure to suit for shrewd yard.

Yard have won the last two renewals of this race and looking at their strike rates here they will plunder a prize or two today. 8 from 20 winners this season collates to a 40% strike rate at a healthy +£10.37 profit for a £1 stake, but return a whopping +£54.23 here over the last 5 years at a strike rate of 28% from 50 winners from 180 runners. All that is conjecture though to this one's chances, but they do know how to win this race and after just 3 good runs this unexposed sort looks to have a cracking chance. Made a nice debut at Lingfield catching the eye staying on in to second before bolting up at Kempton, at long odds on before running a cracker here over C&D in second again to a nice filly called Soul Love. Handicap debut and off a mark of 90 is only a 1lb higher than last year's winner for the yard who trod a similar path to this one. Must go close and can't see him out of the first 4 home.

Was 5-2 second fave at one point last night and though by the time I steamed in was 9-4 has been all the rage since. Second on reappearance in Doha in a Group 2 to August George and on that form (& through Frescobaldi) holds New Monarch. Won on the AW at Dundalk on sole start on an artificial surface on final start as a 2yo so should like it here. Full brother was a Grade 1 winning Breeders Cup juvenile as a 2yo and three other siblings won as 3yo's so this one is bred to be smart and looks a good thing here with Billy Loughnane booked.

I'm really into this jockey who has ridden three winners recently and is cracking value for his claim. Yard rattling the cross bar lately too and this one has a decent ew chance. Definite chance on best form and unlucky to still be a maiden and was beaten a nose on turf at Windsor. On a fair mark and ew play for me from draw.

Two runs at two hardly set the world alight but scratch a bit deeper and they look ok enough now considering first run the winner is Group 3 placed since and on second run wasn't far behind Hippology who I fancy strongly earlier on the card. Was a massive eyecatcher on seasonal debut dropping down to 6f and caught the eye staying on really well. Takes a big step up in distance now but has to be of interest on handicap debut off a workable mark in a weak looking race. Will be interesting to see where Monmouth finishes earlier on the card as was behind my fancy last time out at the Curragh in a maiden so dropping into a handicap I'm expecting a big run from this one who also handled heavy ground very well last time out too. EW squeak for sure if stamina holds out.

Irish Derby entry so step up in trip should suit and that thought is backed up on sole racecourse evidence when running well on debut in October. Stayed on well at the stiff Navan over a mile in a maiden that has thrown up three winners already and this one is obviously well thought off. Sire was a Grade 1 winner at 3yo and this one looks an improver on paper and must go well in open race. Karrygrant is feared but Johnny Murtagh's horses have tended to need the run so far this season. EW banker.

One of the least exposed in here and won on final start in France before transferring over to current yard. Was very well fancied for the Fred Winter at Cheltenham but just missed getting in there. Must be ahead of his mark judged on that confidence and had run well on all three hurdles starts. Sole win in France was nigh on this distance and won't mind any dig in the ground and yard worth following with their handicap debutants. Could be on a very fair mark and is unexposed and taking on some elder horses here who lack this one's potential.

Tashakour interests me as ran in two strong maidens last season but Johnny Murtagh's have needed the run this season. The owner's Zelani is also very interesting as operation do very well with this family and dam is closely related to some very good horses including Zannda and Zahrann who ironically was beaten a smidge in this very race for Johnny Murtagh last season. Dam won on debut too and though will need further in time this could be a test of stamina on the likely ground. Shrewd trainer so has an ew squeak if ready to roll on debut.

There is an old adage back the outsider of 3 but though I'm not usually an advocate of that I have to here as I think Copperhead should be favourite despite meeting Gabby's Cross on revised terms from their Newbury clash. My fancy is a C&D Grade 2 winner here in the past and the stiffer track will suit him even more when he worried his rival out of it late on. Sean Bowen takes over on Gabby's Cross but on decent ground and thus stiffer track I fancy Copperhead to win again. Has won four times in veteran races and despite being a 12yo looks as keen as ever. Hold Your Fort no back number either and will love the ground but I think my fancy can make all here.

Very tricky track here and takes some knowing as is sharp enough with tricky obstacles on the turn. This fella has stamina to prove but is 2114 at the course which includes a bumper win, a hurdles win and a fourth over fences. Has twice run really well at Musselburgh lately and shaped both times as if further would suit in so interesting connections have a poke at this marathon trip now for this 9yo. Like jockey booking as Eoin Staples is a cracking rider and his claim is very useful over these marathon trips. Drying ground wouldn't hurt either and I like his chances if held up long enough to try and stay on late. Plenty come in here out of form and though stamina is the worry goes well at this quirky track and can hopefully hit the frame at the very least. Comes here in good form at least and can creep around and run well for shrewd yard.

Massive eye catcher on just second start for new yard when a staying on third at Kempton under Billy Loughnane who'd taken over the steering. Step up in trip will surely suit and is already a turf winner in native France. Will strip fitter than a few of his market rivals and looks to have ability as stuck on well last time on the all weather. Won his race in France on good to soft so even if the ground dries out a bit conditions look perfect. Must go close if can be held onto long enough and show that turn of foot and potential stamina that looked evident last time.

At the edge of the cliff with this one as has been on my radar for some time and if you've followed on here I d put this one up before! Can't believe finished 6th in a Fred Winter at Cheltenham and has only a maiden hurdle win to his name. New trainer again and just fourth start for them but I'm loving the booking of Daragh O'Keefe who rode a well backed third for the yard recently. Not one to put your house on but there is a race in him and looks on a fair mark now in a bang average race and after a nice break. EW squeak if on a going day.

Hard to believe hasn't won since 2yo days and even harder to believe when you think he went on to finish on the heels of the placed horses in an English and Irish 2000 Guineas as a 3yo. Saves best form for this track as is 4532 from four visits here and has arguably been unlucky the last twice. Finished 5th in this last year off a much higher mark and again caught the eye rattling home late on final start of the season when just failing to reel in Desperate Dan. Good claimer up and you feel has been laid right out for this and have to save on him if thinking Orandi can run well as is 11lb better off with last year's third....if my maths is correct! Goes on any ground and though there are potential group horses in here this one has to win a big pot one day and if he does you feel it will be here. Record fresh is good and is the saver bet and must hit the frame on a much lower mark than last year's cracking effort after a troubled passage.

Won the Irish Lincolnshire to land me a nice touch last year before running a cracker in this to further enhance my punting pot, so difficult to ignore despite last two poor efforts. Was smashed in the betting last time out in this year's Irish Lincolnshire under Ryan Moore but never figured there, though a big run must of been expected. Would be a trends buster as Irish trained horses and 8yo's don't tend to win this but on last year's evidence is too big a price to ignore. Young claimer won an apprentice race on him a couple of years ago and his 3lb off puts him just 3lb higher than last season's two best efforts. Good draw as has Shout to aim at and has an ew squeak.

Was a sneaky fancy for the Lincoln itself for me after a cracking effort in the Irish Lincolnshire last time out, so has to be of interest here. Ran a blinder that last time at the Curragh and caught the eye sticking on well in a fastly run race. Should get the same scenario here and won't mind if the ground dries out or gets softer as has form on all going. Colin Keane an eyecatching booking and he was on when this horse caught my eye in February on the all weather when not knocked about and should be spot on here. Fitness onside and form in big fields a plus too so as yard have sent him over despite missing out on the big one I have to back him. Draw a slight concern but has been well backed and luckily nicked a bit of 14's so hoping can hit the frame. Has been on my radar as think there is a big pot to be won with him and trainer is one I like to follow at Dundalk and always note his runners when Colin Keane is jocked up.

Followed this horse closely last season and ran well in so many big handicaps and was so consistent. Steps up to Listed class here but has to be backed as goes well fresh and could be still on the improve given last effort was a career best, winning at Ascot gamely. Won first time up in 2024 and was beaten a head on reappearance last year so hopefully has been primed up and targeted at this event. Won over C&D at the back end of 2024 in a very smart time and as a 5yo could well be a progressive sort in against a few older more exposed types towards the head of the market. Goes on any ground and should run a big race.

With 6 winners from 13 sent out this month yard is bang in form and with young apprentice 3 from his last 9 rides this month too it's obvious this one has a chance. Win here earlier in the season over a bit further and though falling when last out has been given plenty of time. In fact jockey rode this one in that course mares race in October and gets back onboard here. I'd noted this one had multiple entries this week and interestingly takes on the boys again. Yard unleashed the now Listed winner and Grade 1 placed Act Of Innocence in this last year and though sadly that one is elsewhere now they know how to win this race as have taken two of the last three renewals. Yard are only 2-17 in bumpers this season but did send out a NH Flat debutant winner, River Kwai last week. Decent ground should suit this Motivator gelding and those that have run don't look anything special to me. Could be a good day for the yard and price looks value to my eye as could even go off favourite if stable have booted home a couple of winners.

Came good last spring and this season following suit as son really well last time at Plumpton under Bryan Carver and will love drying conditions today too. 4lb higher in a better race but is the least exposed in here and trainer flying with four winners from just nine runners in the month of this March. Was a good novice and did beat the very good Wreckless Eric one at Newbury and though hasn't kicked on like that good sort is still only a youngster. Yard do well with the family and I like this one's chances as stays further too and is only a couple of pounds higher than when 4th here a couple of runs ago on bad ground. Had subsequent winner Light Fandango behind that day and considering he has just won a nice race at Musselburgh off a mark of 119 my fancy might still be on a good mark. Better ground will help and has a fine chance.

Has stamina to totally prove but nearly reeled in the winner at Uttoxeter on good ground last summer over nigh on 3m and there lies the key to this one's chances, good ground. Can good this time last spring by winning a couple of novice hurdles and looks sure to appreciate conditions today. Yard in rare old form with four winners from last ten sent out and I can see they send out a strong team today. All four have chances and this one is well handicapped on best form as gets ground now on just third handicap start. Has run well here before too as was second here in December staying on well over an inadequate trip in a mares' race. If the Johnny Murtagh favourite does need the race this one has to be backed as a saver too as won a handicap first time up last season before running well in decent company all year before bolting up in a Listed event on final start. Relishes heavy ground and stays further too so of this turns into a slog over the slightly shorter distance this decent mare should be staying on strongly. Looks the EW banker of the day and might even win if favourite's yard can't find a winner yet! One for a place play and a placepot banker given has won on a seasonal reappearance, relishes likely ground and looks a progressive sort.

Looks the sort to go into better things this season and drop from 12f has seen improvement too. Soft ground a plus and hopefully can break the ice for yard now. Surprised is as short as she is as some of these are also on the up but did look a progressive sort last backend.

Ran a cracker in the Eider despite carrying more weight than mark suggested he should of and though a stiffer test would suit Carlisle takes plenty of getting and if getting the strong pace I think he will looks a corking ew bet. Plenty of these like to front run and this smooth traveller will get a strong pace to aim if you trust that main rivals have all made the running in the past. Caught my eye at Market Rasen and was actually my bet in the Eider despite being wrong at the weights and ran with credit there. Could even be a bit fresher than most and though I think could be a dark horse for a Grand National staying race somewhere looks targeted at this race. Jack Andrews replaces Charlie Maggs and he was onboard that day when winning the Lincolnshire National on Boxing Day and when second at Doncaster in November. Goes on any ground and if getting that strong pace could the one finishing with most effect. Looks a corking EW punt for yard who had run well last Tuesday from their very few runners. This one went close to defying a penalty when denied back here at Limerick by another fair sort in Its Bilbo in a C&D Listed event and this looks a lot easier. Has been given a break and though was pulled out when well fancied recently can go well despite stiff enough looking mark. In fact my fancy has placed twice under rules and caught the eye staying on nicely last time at Newcastle. A stiffer test will suit in time but with yard in good form and with the ground just on the easy side should get a sufficient test of stamina especially if getting a good pace to aim at. Handicap debut and gets a few pounds off Rokathir here with the promise of better ground and a drop in trip sure to suit after last run behind the aforementioned horse. Bolted up in a novice chase before finding the 3m2f too far last time when a well backed favourite. To be fair looked all over the winner close home before fading late on and drop in trip makes sense here. Yard going well enough with two winners and five places from last 13 sent out and though a small sample size shows they're going well. Goes well in big fields and though not as good a hurdler as some of these is going well over fences and was so well backed last time he was expected to win so at he prices looks fair value off a fair mark with this trip suiting much better than the slog it turned into last time. This galloping track will suit and though hacked up on soft ground is bred to like good as dam is by King's Theatre and win a bumper and hurdle race herself on good ground. Yard have an ok 15% strike rate at the track but are profitable to follow as are approx about £10 (plus lsp this season) and £12 (plus lsp last 5 years) so add in their 19% bumper strike rate this season everywhere they are worth following as know how to plot one up!!! Spared too hard a race there when pulled up and bounced back in fine style last time to be only beaten a short head at Wetherby after again going from the front. We know what we'll get from her and though up in grade she goes well for jockey and slight drop in trip won't inconvenience this nice travelling sort. I remember this fella looking like he was going to win the 2024 Gold Cup when he had a quality field on the stretch and that was despite a couple of mistakes. Faded late on in the heavy ground to only finish 4th but will love today's quicker ground. Has run creditably this season despite yard being bang out of form and can turn the tables on Haiti Coleurs or at least finish close to him as goes well at the track. Actually has a 6lb pull with Spillane's Tower too for less than a length defeat in the Cotswold Chase and had Grey Dawning behind there. I'm not sure of the King George form where they finished in a heap and Venetia has banged in a 66-1 winner already this week. We've seen this week if getting on the front end you go close so I'm all in another 11yo in a race that looks ripe for a boil over. Who won the Stayers???

Grade 1 winning novice chaser and though the Cotswold is a poor trial for this these days I'm thinking this year's renewal might be the key to this year's Blue Riband event. Showed plenty of stamina to hold off the rallying L'Homme Presse there and acted as if a couple of more furlongs wouldn't be insurmountable. I gave my doubts about this year's King George as they all finished in a heap and if this fella gets a nice lead which I'm sure he will from L'Homme Presse and Haiti Colouers he can rally home and nail this or go very close.

I like this one stepping up in trip and looks a stayer with a touch of class. Won a point to point and then ran a blinder to finish third in the Champion Bumper at the 2024 Festival not far behind Jasmin de Vaux and Romeo Coolio so has performed in the cauldron. Catches my eye that he had The Passing Wife well behind one day in another bumper and though that has no bearing on what these do over hurdles it is still in the form book. Unexposed at staying trips and yard know how to win this race. Won his maiden hurdle easily last time from a subsequent winner in Healys Pub and could surprise a few here. Seems to act on any ground so rates a nice prospect.

Was spared a gruelling finish when pulled up in the Irish Gold Cup last time and probably wouldn't of stayed either so dropping in trip and class can see her bounce back. I noted her when she made Jade De Grugy pull out all the stops over hurdles at a big price but she has excelled since going chasing. Five on the spin mark her down as a quality mare and she goes on any ground. She is a grade 1 winner over fences already and beat the likes of Firefox, Champ Kiely & Down Memory Lane at Fairyhouse last year and all of those gents have won since! A lovely type who jumps well and goes on any ground so though this looks her toughest assignment back in amongst her own sex she can go well. I like her a lot and she can go close

Noel Meade has already plotted up the Bumper here in fine style and his only other runner has really caught my attention. Quality on the flat and nailed Ndaawi in the Grade 3 Galway Hurdle last summer only to get demoted after a bit of argy bargy close home. Now I fancy that consistent sort to run well here so how can I not save on this one from a very shrewd yard. The third in that Galway Hurdle, Casheldale Lad is Grade 1 placed since behind Lossiemouth and had Hello Neighbour well held there too. On that form alone this one has a mighty chance back over hurdles and on good ground yet is double the price of Hello Neighbour. Another Meade plot???? Maybe! We can all dream.

Second in this last year after a long break and connections might of rued not having a prep as may well of won if match fit and they haven't made that mistake this year with an eyecatching spin at Dundalk recently. On that form alone from last year's renewal has a mighty chance as look what the winner Kargese had done....only took out an Arkle! Loves these huge field handicaps and has a touch of class so won't mind the weight and has good claimer booked who gave Franciscan Rock a peach of a ride here in second on Wednesday. Don't forget was third in a Fred Winter here two years ago and if you're playing a placepot just on Festival form alone is a banker selection. Will love the hurly burly of the race and though there are better handicapped horses this is obviously his target.

Along with Ndaawi looks the EW bet of the day as comes here with form rubber stamped no end by Saratoga who took out the Fred Winter in fine style on Tuesday. This one readily out pointed that one despite a strong challenge and was actually pulling away at the end. On a tenuous form line through Munsif /Geneaology/Winston Junior et al has as much chance as Minella Study and looks a tough sort. Unbeaten and hopefully it all clicks for yard today who have some huge chances. Must go close and could well still be unbeaten by the end of the opener.

I like Herakles Westwood but seeing as 8 of the last 10 winners have been 7 or 8yo's I'm siding with something less exposed. Irish bred horses go well too with 7 of the last 8 being Irish bred. This one had a spin over hurdles last time but was spared a hard race as was pulled up late on and is totally unexposed as a staying chaser. Had earlier finished third to Knight of Allen at Newbury the time before and that one chased home subsequent NH Chase winner Holloway Queen since. The second that day Aviation has won since too and both of those enjoyed stepping up in trip. Won his bumper on good ground and did win a handicap chase last March at the stiff Hexham so this looks his time of year. Yard have to be respected here despite poor record in the race over the last 10 years but we all know they're going to click sometime. Stepping this one up in trip could be the one that works the oracle.

Winners of trials for this have awful records in the final itself but this consistent tough sort can't be ignored. Supremely West has been all the rage as a blot but my fancy has finished in front of that one twice by over a combined distance of over 56 lengths and the prices don't make sense to me. Love the booking of Callum Pritchard who gave him a lovely ride at Sandown to win and also gave Moon D'Orange a corking ride on Tuesday to land me a lovely EW punt. Was also dead unlucky on Imperial Saint who got mullered in the Ultima before finishing well. 3lb claim puts this fella on a very fair mark and as a C&D winner to boot has a blinding chance. Yard's sole runner today and they aguably have been unlucky too with Sober Glory a near must in the Supreme as well as Imperial Saint's woes. Fast ground would be tgd only worry.

Tip top Grade 1 winning hurdler who won the Ballymore here three years ago but is proving high class as a chaser too. Grade 1 winner at Aintree last season and though missed the last two Cheltenham Festivals is a tough as teak and can make amends for those absences by winning here. Will get a nice tow into the race from owner's other runner Matata and can outgun Fact To File who though bolting up at the DRF on bad ground might not back that up here. Blew the cobwebs away just a month ago in the Red Mills at Gowran Park and will handle the ground no matter what happens with the weather. I'm worried about Fact To File coming here to win a second Ryanair and owner running Jonbon too so to so let's forget about my fancy burnt Gold Cup voucher on Fact To File and hope this fella wins this race well.

Have to back Ballyburn as at a gathering with punty pals in December over a pint or two stated this was the Stayer's Hurdle winner after he narrowly failed to nail Teahupoo in the Hatton's Grace. Won the Baring Bingham at the Festival two years ago and though was very disappointing over fences in the Brown Advisory last season is arguably the most talented horse in here. Teahupoo turned the form around in the Christmas Hurdle but if Ballyburn is on a going day he must go close given had all the ability in the world. By an Old Vic mare he promises to stay all day and with the first time hood on too hopefully he can settle and gun these down late on. Goes on any ground and as is still only an 8yo can take high rank ad a staying hurdler.

I can't resist a saver on the former King George winner who will absolutely love the drying ground. Goes well fresh too and won on seasonal debut over hurdles in October beating John McConnell's Moon D'Orange who did me a nice punting favour by running a mammoth race in the Ultima on Tuesday. Won last March too over hurdles at Thurles on good ground beating Asterion Forlonge easily by 5l and on that form alone would have as much chance as Teahupoo given the collateral form lines. Shark Hanlon has campaigned this bargain buy brilliantly and if 11yo Bob Olinger is fancied to run well why can't we expect the same from this old boy. The Film that will come out about this fella one day might just have a different ending. Wasn't disgraced in the Grand National either last year so is no back number just yet. One can dream can't one...it is St Patrick's Day after all and The Shark sounded as if this was a plan.

Love this horse's battling quality and may well be unbeaten over fences but for tipping up at the last at the November meeting here. Made amends by winning at Doncaster and back here in January when nutting Quebecois close home and how good does that form look now with that one running a huge race in the Ultima. Only wins by as much as he needs too so may well still be ahead of his mark and good ground the only imponderable for me but handled it at Aintree so should be fine whatever happens with the weather. On a line through Califet En Vol has a bit to find with Sixmilebridge but that one has run averagely at the past two Festivals. Yard in form and their Leave Of Absence was a big eyecatcher in 5th in that aforementioned Ultima. Huge chance for me.

Can't resist a nugget or two EW on this mare who did beat La Conquire in a bumper on debut on good ground and looks a big price compared to that one who to be fair has turned into a decent Listed winning hurdler. Trip might be a bit on the short side but with Bambino Fever, Full Of Life & Diamond Du Berlais all liking to front run she might get a lickety spilt pace to aim at. Won an egg and spoon maiden hurdle last time out but shouldn't be underestimated here and we know will handle the ground at least.

I love this improving mare who keeps winning as steps up each time in grade and can handle this weak looking Grade 3. Stays well and still rueing my 50-1 ante post voucher for the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett didn't get a chance to be shown off as thought she'd have a right chance stepping up to 3m there. Anyway Cheltenham's loss is Limerick's gain and Brian Hayes who gets a fine tune out of this likeable mare swerves a third day on the Cotswolds to come home and try to plunder this prize. He goes back to Cheltenham for Friday so must be significant he has come back to ride this one who should relish the step up in trip. Hits the line hard and travels well through her races so can stay on strongly here to beat all.
