I have been a member of Olbg since September 2009 and must say it's one of the most user friendly sites out there. The fact all tips, comments, stats & performances are recorded and available for inspection it really does mean you have to bring a professional approach. You are judged on what you say and do, so I will do my best to help others along the way in our journey to prise some profit out of those miserly bookies. I am a genuine horse racing enthusiast and have spent (or some might say wasted!) over 30 years as an avid punter and the beauty is I am still learning. This site definitely helps as the information and knowledge of other members available is excellent.....and free. My other hobbies are photography and cricket, I'm the current Skipper of Seveno CC a south London friendly cricket team and we're always looking for new players. I'm also a keen photographer and have captured some great memories especially from Cheltenham and if any photos catch your eye, please get in touch. For me, all roads from about November lead to the greatest sporting event of the year, The Cheltenham Festival and I have been going nearly every year since 1998. The memories, stories, good punts & bad will make a great book one day! I always look for value and hopefully a few juicy punts click on here. I would say horse racing is my game but I do like the odd dabble in the golf, boxing & cricket markets. Enjoy the ride!

Is another sort I like as has run well in big field handicaps before and will love decent ground. Looks well handicapped to me as is 5lb lower than when second last February to this year's Ryanair runner up Heart Wood at Leopardstown. Travels well and as stated before big fields don't phase him either. Ran well at Cheltenham last time I the Plate fading late on but is 4lb lower now and has better ground too so should relish conditions and run a big race. Has been well backed last couple of days and is a cracking each way punt here.

Is a horse I've liked since seeing her win a maiden hurdle at Cork on second run and she appreciated the good ground that day so if it dries out a bit I'd fancy her strongly here. She wasn't disgraced in the Grade 3 Monksfield on next start behind The Yellow Clay and that one has is a grade 1 winner since and made my new favourite horse The New Lion pull out all the stops at Cheltenham. Has been running over further and on ground softer so drop in trip and getting better ground can see her run well in this. Open race but is an unexposed sort with conditions to suit and looks a fair each way play today.

Won a maiden hurdle in good style by 10l from a sort who won it's next two starts and followed that up with a fair run in a Grade 2 behind Irancy next time. Irsncy has just bolted up in the Grade 1 novice hurdle here at Punchestown on day 1 so all in all my fancy's form is stacking up well. Goodish ground seemed to suit when winning at Down Royal and the drier the ground gets the better I like his chances. Step up in trip a slight concern but is a 3m point to point winner again on good ground so should stay and will relish conditions. Definite each way player today.

Strong stayer who was decent over hurdles and his highlight was being a Grade 1 Albert Bartlett winner. Was only 4l behind Lecky Watson at Cheltenham in the Brown Advisory and I'm still not convinced that one is a copper bottomed stayer so expect Stellar Story to turn the horn around given yard are in slightly better form now. Won the Grade 2 Florida Pearl here on chase debut and the few extra yards now can only help draw out his stamina even more. Yielding going would suit but hopefully can make this a proper test and could be hard to pass alternatively if a strong pace is on could stay on best of all, either way is too big a price for one with his form in the book.

Chase debut was very impressive at Kempton and the the fact all three opponents Leave of Absence, Gidleigh Park and The Four Sixes have won decent races since suggest form is strong. Been disappointing since on soft ground but I'm expecting better here after a short break. Is better fresh anyway and has won a few times off breaks and was a Greatwood Hurdle and a Betfair Hurdle winner over the smaller obstacles so has a touch of class. Doesn't look the deepest race to me despite the numbers and this one had more than enough back form to think he is too big a price here.

I like Timmy Tuesday who ran a blinder last time over slightly further in a top handicap at Aintree but that also brings this one into the equation. Ran a cracker to be a 6l second to Timmy Tuesday at Down Royal last time and by my maths is 12lb better off here. The drying ground is another plus and this trip is perfect as has won around 2m4f in the past. Lightly raced and on the back of a career best looks on a fair mark to me. Booking of JJ Slevin catches the eye too. If you fancy Timmy Tuesday on this Tuesday you have to have a saver on this unexposed sort. Yard a bit hit and miss lately but have had a few winners in recent weeks and with the extra places on offer here this one looks value with trip and ground possibly bringing more improvement.

Has two half brothers that have both won on turf and on the all weather over trips 6 1/2f to 1m6f on the flat so should stay 7f too. Yard in decent form as well as are 6-35 in the past fortnight. I was at Sandown when this one did everything wrong but still ran a blinder to be second to Handstands shaping as if a stiffer test would suit. I told anyone who'd listen this is the Bet365 winner and owner had that lovely grey Lacdoudal to win that too. Shaped at Cheltenham in the NH Chase as if still in great form and we know that race has thrown up the Scottish and Irish National winners since. Bowen and Murphy on fire and deserve to finish the season with another big pot. I've got some tidy punts rolling in to this fella and though will get outpaced at some stage will be the strongest finisher once he sees that hill. Beat Hoe Joly Smoke at Uttoxeter and that one is a dual Sandown winner since too so all form stacking up and a confident pick for me. 16's voucher burning a big hole in my pocket!!!! Come on Sean!

Be rude not to have a saver on this one who I really liked in the NH Chase but was never really in the race and is better than that to my eye. Will relish this test and the form of that Cheltenham marathon is proving very profitable for me. Plenty of Mullins horses come here as an afterthought but this one has surely been aimed at this since that Cheltenham effort. Neil Mulholland often leaves Sandown with a marathon winner and good ground will suit this one more than most. Lightly raced for an 8yo and only 3lb higher than last win. Goes well at Cheltenham so though was only 5th here once over hurdles should relish this trip and hill. Won here over hurdles but has proven even better over fences and is 221 over the bigger obstacles at this track including a very taking C&D win last time. 5lb higher and up in grade but Sean Bowen has got a fine tune out of this fella since taking the reins and getting weight from all has to be feared here. Good ground holds no fear either and the Champion Jockey deserves a winner today and though I like his later mount strongly this is obviously his best chance. The National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham has thrown up a couple of winners of this in the last ten years and though they were not the winner of that race it has been a good guide to this in the past. This year's renewal was carnage with many not completing but that shouldn't lessen the feeling that this one wasn't a worthy winner. The 1st,2nd and 5th of the Scottish National came out of the Cheltenham marathon and in Haiti Coleurs we could have seen the Irish National winner. Sean Bowen booked and he is flying with 6 winners from his last 7 mounts. This one raced prominently and kept out of trouble proving his stamina too at Cheltenham and if doing the same here looks a bombproof play here. Any of those that raced in the NH Chase at Cheltenham behind Haiti Coleurs could of been the EW selection but this novice had always been on my radar and looks crying out for this step up in trip. Backed him for the Leinster National last time and he was lobbing along before unseating and novices do do well in this race. Trainer has won it twice too from just six runners and two of those placed as well so this would of been a plan. Was strong at the finish at Navan, the time before last and that takes some getting there so should stay this far. Sole hurdles victory doesn't do this strong traveller justice and he does look all over a staying chaser so with improvement to come is a live player here. Wore the first time cheek pieces in this race last year and hopefully can be delivered much later this time.

Is a horse I've always liked and stays much further than this trip so will want a strong pace to aim at here, but I reckon he'll get that with the likes of Penzance and Smart Hero who have made the running in the past. To be fair is still fairly unexposed on the all weather and is 2/3 on artificial surfaces and should relish this stiffer track. Caught my eye last time as had backed him and he never could land a blow under David Probert but did finish off well enough. Interesting jockey keeps the ride and he is in cracking form to boot (9-36 the past fortnight) . Drop in trip my only concern but they normally go a good lick on this day and a fast run competitive handicap looks right up his street. EW player for me.

Must of been laid out for this as hasn't run since January when edged out of it late on over course and distance by the classy reopposing Marshman. That one took an age to get past my fancy and may well do so again but Run Boy Run is 6lb better off and at the prices looks like the EW player. Is a course and distance winner as did win his maiden here last March and is still very much unexposed as a lightly raced 4yo. Draw could of been kinder but shouldn't be undestimated given good course form and is a nice price.

Was a narrow second in this last year and though only third last time at Wolverhampton behind the reopposing Symbol Of Light is 3lb better off here. Also should strip fitter and last run was first run since December and looks laid out for this. Rossa Ryan stays loyal when he could of ridden many others and off the same mark as last year looks a cracking punt today given proven track form. Same stall as last year and if Rossa can hold on to him a tad longer this time can nail these close home and make up for that short head defeat in this last season.

Ran a blinder in the Dawn Run at Cheltenham at a huge price when a staying on fifth and will enjoy stepping back up in trip here. Is a mare I've followed closely as many will know if following my picks, as came out of an Aintree bumper that has continued to work out well over hurdles. Had Jubilee Alpha behind at Cheltenham but is 5lb better off here, looks sure to be suited to the step back up in trip as did run well over 2m3f in the past and will love decent ground. Yard in fair form too as from a small sample have had a few winners from last dozen sent out. Looks a huge player in this as might just prefer underfoot conditions better than most.

Has shown good enough placed form over fences from three starts as has chased home the likes of Arkle runner up Only By Night, the decent Springt De La Mare and the fair sort Law Of Her Own and meets nothing here of that calibre. Have to take note when shrewd trainer sends one over and on handicap debut looks on a fair mark getting weight from the Mullins pair. Skips a valuable Listed event in Ireland to come here and as is by a King's Theatre mare is bred to relish decent ground and act around d Cheltenham. A hurdles winner last February before finding Grade 1 company too hot and looks ready to strike over fences after mixing it in good company.

Showed a great attitude to win last time out despite facing a right out challenge from the runner up and relished the stiff Newcastle finish and good ground so should handle this challenge today. Form has been well advertised too as the second and third have won since and the fifth has since finished second as well, a whopping 39 lengths clear of the third. Is a Listed runner up already over hurdles as well, as was second to Belfrina in January at Doncaster and that one has run well again since too. Sainte Lucie is respected dropping in grade but wouldn't want the ground too lively and I really like this one's chances. Yard still in good nick and have had a few winners from last dozen sent out so with conditions to suit might just have too much toe for these.
