Lightly enough raced 9yo who I've followed ever since he caught my eye a couple of seasons ago and he rewarded my faith by winning a couple of times including when bolting up by a whopping 25l on handicap debut...and I'm sure I even put him up then on @olbg. Has been very disappointing since but has finally slipped to a winnable mark as is now 3lb lower last win. Not one to go mad about but I like the fact Sean Quinlan has been booked as this horse has normally had an apprentice up in recent runs. Quinlan has been good to follow this month as has booted home 5 winners and has 6 seconds from his 21 rides this month alone. If the first time visor works he could be on an attractive mark and bar one other in the field is the only other distance winner in the field. Could bolt up if on a going day.

12yo who won over C&D on seasonal debut in November and had a good few of these behind that day and though comes here after some bang average efforts so do many in this poor event. Has slipped back to that winning mark and Peter Kavanagh who rides this old boy well is in good form at this track this season. His 5 winners from 32 rides here this season yield a +£24.50 lsp return and I've checked last year's event of this race and he did manage to finish third on a 100-1 shot. Is a horse I've followed ever since he was going really well once here before unseating when making his move and he duly obliged a couple of runs later. Yard does well with these old boys and have had 4 winners from 13 runners this calendar year with the likes of veterans Goodoldbill and Uptown Harry. Definitely has a squeak if on a going day and could run a huge race in a winnable race.

Pierre Bonnard beat A Boy Named Susie a couple of lengths in France on soft ground over nigh on this trip but Christmas Day beat that same rival a short head over 1f shorter and on that reckoning you'd think Ryan Moore has made the right choice. He may well of done but my fancy needed all of that 9f here at Leopardstown to get up and would of been 6l clear if asked to go another furlong. Getting 2lb off the favourite here he looks the bet to me and is much the value. In fact he looks a stonking price and is one of the EW bets of the day if fit to go on seasonal reappearance. Should be second fav at about 4-1 in my book so looks a mighty bet.

If Power Blue goes well earlier I'd fancy this one even more as was second behind that one last year in the Group 1 Phoenix. Found the 5f on firm ground too much of a speed test and should been at a better effect on turf stepping up in trip. Dam was a 9.5f Listed winner and a half sister out of dam Alluring was a 9f Group 2 winner so my fancy is certainly bred to stay. Should loads of class as a 2yo and though a Queen Mary winner could be better still as a 3yo stepping up in trip. Decent ground would be fine and obviously fitness is the issue but is the class act.

Has the penalty and has to give weight away but so did last year's winner and I liked this horse last year with the view he'd make a better 3yo. Owner had Arizona Blaze finish third in this last year but that one didn't stay and is now a Group 1 winning sprinter where I think this one wants a stiffer test. Finished last season beating subsequent Group 1 Cheveley Park Fillies winner True Love and rates a nice EW bet here. Won on debut here on soft ground but prefers better ground so the more it dries the better and obviously can go well fresh. EW player at least here for me.

Haven't have a saver on this one as though has a bit to find with favourite through Far From Dandy is from a yard finally getting into gear. I've been following Johnny Murtagh closely and the last few days he's had two winners and three seconds and finally hitting the mark. His runners have tended to need a run and this one had a poor draw but interestingly enough is their only runner on this valuable card today. Type to hack up or blow out but on form isn't far behind my main fancy.

Finished a staying on third in the Irish Lincolnshire on seasonal debut and some of that races form is working out well with the likes of Far From Dandy & Perry Mason giving it some depth. On a line through Far From Dandy had the besting of Fixation so has to be tte bet here as has fitness inside too. Rattled off a hatrick ladt backend as is better drawn than Fixation too so looks the solid one even though that one is a threat. Must go close.

Before all the changes were made to the Grand National and before it turned into finding an Irish Grade 1 type, this fella would of fitted the bill perfectly. Aintree Chase record reads 11125 and slips in here off a handy weight. Won the Peter Marsh earlier in the season with Johnnywho behind and caught my eye big time in the Ultima. Was badly hampered by a faller & out the back of the telly, but showed Red Rum-esque agility to skip that fallen horse before staying on really well. Should stay and I backed him at 80-1 after the Ultima which has thrown up two of the last four winners and I'm so glad he got in. By that man Saint Des Saints who throws up plenty of Aintree winners and if he does stay and get a clear round has a cracking EW chance. Goodish ground perfect too and owner Dicky Johnson was keen to get in and have a crack at this. Could be the best of the British.

Have to back this one who looks a National type of the modern ilk as has been campaigned at the top level and though was disappointing in the Coral Cup was making his seasonal reappearance when the de Bromhead yard were out of form. His stablemate Gorgeous Tom though did run well in that Coral Cup in fourth place but Daragh O'Keefe who was onboard then elects to ride Monty's Star. A good novice who was second to Fact To File in a Brown Advisory and then returned to Cheltenham a year later to be fourth in a Gold Cup shows he has some class. Has run in two of the top Irish Grade 1's this season and though has ground to make up on the likes of Grangeclere West and I Am Maximus gets a decent chunk of weight off both of them now we're in a handicap. Trainer knows how to win this race and I've liked this one's profile for a while and though stamina is an unknown over this trip he has to run well. On a fair mark and screams of a Grand National plot job.

Had a fine novice campaign highlighted with a win here at this meeting in the Grade 1 Mersey and shaped as if a step up in trip was needed as needed all of the home straight to get up. That form has worked out really well and then went on Punchestown to be second to Albert Bartlett winner Jasmin de Vaux with a subsequent Grade 1 winner Fleur In The Park in third. Has disappointed since behind Impose Toi and Home By The Lee but may of found Ascot & Cheltenham too stiff and should relish a return to this flatter track. Strong Leader would be a strong fancy on course form but yard form is a worry and if a first time tongue tie hopefully aids this one's chances he looks a good thing to me.

Won this last year off a 100 day break and follows a similar path this season and though disappointing so far has been laid out for his hatrick bid in this race. Yard have won it three times in the last decade so target this race and have hit a rich vein of form as last three horses sent out of the yard have won. Only a 1lb higher than last year where he beat my outside poke in the National itself Imperial Saint and that looks fair form as that one came out and won the Peter Marsh off a mark of 141 so arguably Cruz Control could still be on a fair mark. Race looks deeper than last year but given course form, yard's current form, their record in this and the fact the ground should be perfect Cruz Control looks the EW play of the day. By that sire Saint Des Saints again who gets plenty of Aintree winners and hopefully he bags another one today.

3/4 in fledgling career but only defeat was in the Grade 1 Challow behind No Drama This End and worth another crack at the highest level and especially as this race doesn't look the deepest. Yard just clicking into gear again and last three horses sent out recently have all won. Beat the reopposing Kosac D'Oudairies last time at Kelso easily by a long looking 6.5 lengths and as thst one got to within 7 lengths to Mydaddypaddy earlier in the season the form reads well. Won't mind if the ground dries out any more as has won with firm in the description but also handles good to soft so won't mind conditions if they water whereas I fear plenty here would like ground much softer. Ballyfad has to be respected for yard who've won four of the last ten renewals but I like this horse and he looks a corking EW punt for shrewd yard.

That was the second time he'd caught my eye and he looks a real good sort who won't mind the big field here. Was decent in France as was Listed and Grade 2 placed before tackling Grade 1 company on final start. Love the jockey booking as young Heidi is 5 winners and plenty of places from just 12 rides in 2026. Yard won this last season and this fella looks the one from the Skelton's team this year for me.

Bar two poor efforts at Cheltenham his career stats including his point to point win reads 1112111 and as has won a bumper here, at Ayr and two hurdle events at Haydock it is fair to say flat galloping tracks are his bag. Won in Grade 2 company on last start and swerved Cheltenham for obvious reasons so will be fresher than most here today. Dam has produced half brother Myretown who we know is smart at best and stepping up into Grade 1 company here Dalston Lad could prove to be even better than his sibling. Yard still going well despite long old season and their targeting of races this year has been brilliant. Has to improve but surely is on the up and looks a lovely safe jumper who must go close here. Likes to race up with the pace which will suit around here and looks a cracking punt as could have a bit too much toe for some of the more dour stayers who also had tough races at Cheltenham. Was campaigned brilliantly last year trawling around graded company before coming here on handicap debut and winning this race in determined fashion. Has had a similar campaign this season running in good company and when you consider in three of his four races this season he was behind subsequent Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winners Il Etait Temps, Heart Wood & Gaelic Warrior over varying trips you can see has been aimed clearly at a defence of his crown. Was a Grade 1 winning novice at this meeting as a young horse and as is 2/2 at this Festival have to think he will be spot on to go very very close today. Is 3lb higher than last year and hasn't got loads in hand on the runner up who reopposes but comes here in better form than that one. Has only run once since finishing third in this race last season but that reappearance should of blown away the cobwebs and actually looks well in despite carrying top weight. Last year's winner Wellington Arch is respected but is 15lb higher than last year whereas my fancy is just 1lb higher and enjoys a 13lb pull for about a 4l defeat. Cracking course form too as was less than 3l behind Jango Baie in a Grade 1 novice once upon a time. Won the Scottish Champion Hurdle in the April of 2024 so this is his time of year and has been campaigned sparingly so is fresher than most. Excellent chance to my eye.

Knocked my eye out on debut when winning a Listed mares' event at Huntingdon when I fluked a winning bet and then chased home one that looks like a very nice horse for the Skeltons at Windsor when taking on the boys. There was no fluke about another winning punt on third start when winning another Listed mares' event and must have a massive chance if handling better ground. Is a big powerful mare who looks an embryonic chaser so this track on decent ground might be a bit quick for her but is unbeaten in two against her own sex and looks a horse to follow. I love the way she travels through her races and seems to do everything so easily. Loads of scope and has experience so will be very hard to beat as long as the ground is not rattling fast.

The EW bet of the day for me as goes for a third win in a row in this very race. Harry Cobden stays loyal despite the JP McManus battalion and he'll bounce off and make all here I reckon. Yard in good form this April with 5 winners and 4 places from 17 sent out this month. This is the archetypal spring horse and must of been targeted at this prize all season. Was behind Highland Legacy at Windsor on soft ground last time but the weight pull, quicker ground and this galloping track can see that form turned around. Harry Cobden a master at judging the pace from the front when on the right one and he's on the right one here for me. Only 3lb higher than last season's win in this and will take some pegging back.

I do like this horse and thought he ran a bit flat in the Champion Hurdle even though he still nearly reeled in the runner up there Brighterdaysahead. The return to further will suit and though hasn't got the Aintree form in the book that old foe Brighterdaysahead has is a Grade 1 winner at Newbury over this trip. Will relish the long home straight and galloping track and can reverse places with main rival despite still giving her 7lb as thought would of got passed her at Cheltenham and has the extra distance here. I do like this horse who was unbeaten as a juvenile and though not a Champion Hurdler now can bounce back getting a trip here. Ground won't be a bother and with no Lossiemouth to contend with here can gun them all down late on.

Is a bit of an enigma as is very capable on his day but also has a way of getting a letter after his name as opposed to that elusive win! However has cracking form over this distance and fences here as has twice placed in the Grand Sefton over C&D. Was pulled up here in the Becher Chase on soft ground in December, but so was Irish Grand National 5th Monbeg Genius so we can forgive him that effort. He'd earlier finished second in the Becher Chase and is a 1lb lower today and that November form looks better now that the 5th that day was subsequent Ultima winner Johnnywho who could go well in Saturday's big 'un. Goes on decent ground and I nicked some 25-1 so interestingly watching his price contract so someone fancies him too. Gets a first time visor on and I like jockey Huw Edwards who rode the winner of this race last season and also has a placed effort in this race too from just four rides in it. Jango Baie must go well but had a tough enough race at Cheltenham and though ran well at Aintree last year shaping as if further would suit might still find this sharp enough. On decent ground Spillane's Tower might as well and Impaire Et Passe had the opposite issue as might find it too far. For Pic D'Orhy this ain't Ascot even though he had won a Grade 1 around here his best form is in Berkshire so that leaves old favourite Protektorat who with form figure of 11432 around here and no Jonbon to contend with this time is the bet. By Saint De Saints whose progeny do well around this track for some reason he is a good bet. In cracking form with two wins this season and had swerved Cheltenham to be fresh for this. Enigmatic character but connections feel he still has the exuberance of youth despite being an 11yo and the prevailing ground might just suit him better than the dour stayers and the trip will suit him better than the dodgy stayers. Was only fair on the flat in Ireland but did manage to win a maiden hurdle there once switched to jumping obstacles and someone spotted something as has thrived since switch to current developing yard. Was just beaten a head on debut for stable at Musselburgh on good ground on the flat before really finding niche switching back to hurdles. Won well on first start before beating Winston Junior at Cheltenham and that one franked the form by running a stormer in the Fred Winter back at Cheltenham. This one travelled powerfully through the Truimph and will relish this speed test on better ground here. Maestro Conti took an age to get passed my fancy for this race at Cheltenham but Minella Study battled back well and on this less demanding track could be gone up the straight before Maestro Conti gets rolling. Holds an entry in the Scottish champion hurdle too but looks on a fair mark here for yard amongst the winners (3 this week alone from 13 runners) so interesting comes here despite top weight. Course winner to boot who is fresher than most and stays very well too, so in what looks likely to be a fast run race especially as the likes of Mondo Man, General Briar and Soleil D'Arizona have all made the running before should get something to aim at. It will be interesting to see how my earlier fancy Apiarist runs in the mile race as he was third just behind my selection here and if that form gets a boost this one's price will contract. Dropping in trip should help too and though is a dual 7f all weather winner this is a stiff track and there looks likely to be a very strong pace to aim at here with the likes of Valiant Force and the keen going Berkshire Whisper likely to setting stern fractions early on. Could well be charging home late on and yard had a cracking weekend last week scooping the two big pots at Doncaster. Has plenty of form with many of these to suggest is too big a price and was third in this very race to Storm Star last year and though is just a 1lb better off now does come here in better from than that one this time around. Ran well last time at Kempton keeping on at the one pace behind the decent Mount Athos and will enjoy the step back up to a mile. Can't believe is only a 5yo as is a horse I've followed for years since doing me some big favours at big prices on the turf in the past and though this is a stronger race than last year this C&D winner could go well at a price. Catches the eye as yard's sole runner on the card and they have a cracking 7 winners from 31 runners at a 23% strike rate with a return of +6.50 lsp this season at the track. Drifting out in price is a slight negative but should run his race and looks likely to get a strong pace to aim at and can stay on late to hopefully grab a place.

A tardy start meant he had a lot to do as stablemate got first run but the stiffer nature of the track here looks sure to suit for shrewd yard.

Yard have won the last two renewals of this race and looking at their strike rates here they will plunder a prize or two today. 8 from 20 winners this season collates to a 40% strike rate at a healthy +£10.37 profit for a £1 stake, but return a whopping +£54.23 here over the last 5 years at a strike rate of 28% from 50 winners from 180 runners. All that is conjecture though to this one's chances, but they do know how to win this race and after just 3 good runs this unexposed sort looks to have a cracking chance. Made a nice debut at Lingfield catching the eye staying on in to second before bolting up at Kempton, at long odds on before running a cracker here over C&D in second again to a nice filly called Soul Love. Handicap debut and off a mark of 90 is only a 1lb higher than last year's winner for the yard who trod a similar path to this one. Must go close and can't see him out of the first 4 home.

Was 5-2 second fave at one point last night and though by the time I steamed in was 9-4 has been all the rage since. Second on reappearance in Doha in a Group 2 to August George and on that form (& through Frescobaldi) holds New Monarch. Won on the AW at Dundalk on sole start on an artificial surface on final start as a 2yo so should like it here. Full brother was a Grade 1 winning Breeders Cup juvenile as a 2yo and three other siblings won as 3yo's so this one is bred to be smart and looks a good thing here with Billy Loughnane booked.

I'm really into this jockey who has ridden three winners recently and is cracking value for his claim. Yard rattling the cross bar lately too and this one has a decent ew chance. Definite chance on best form and unlucky to still be a maiden and was beaten a nose on turf at Windsor. On a fair mark and ew play for me from draw.

Two runs at two hardly set the world alight but scratch a bit deeper and they look ok enough now considering first run the winner is Group 3 placed since and on second run wasn't far behind Hippology who I fancy strongly earlier on the card. Was a massive eyecatcher on seasonal debut dropping down to 6f and caught the eye staying on really well. Takes a big step up in distance now but has to be of interest on handicap debut off a workable mark in a weak looking race. Will be interesting to see where Monmouth finishes earlier on the card as was behind my fancy last time out at the Curragh in a maiden so dropping into a handicap I'm expecting a big run from this one who also handled heavy ground very well last time out too. EW squeak for sure if stamina holds out.

Irish Derby entry so step up in trip should suit and that thought is backed up on sole racecourse evidence when running well on debut in October. Stayed on well at the stiff Navan over a mile in a maiden that has thrown up three winners already and this one is obviously well thought off. Sire was a Grade 1 winner at 3yo and this one looks an improver on paper and must go well in open race. Karrygrant is feared but Johnny Murtagh's horses have tended to need the run so far this season. EW banker.

One of the least exposed in here and won on final start in France before transferring over to current yard. Was very well fancied for the Fred Winter at Cheltenham but just missed getting in there. Must be ahead of his mark judged on that confidence and had run well on all three hurdles starts. Sole win in France was nigh on this distance and won't mind any dig in the ground and yard worth following with their handicap debutants. Could be on a very fair mark and is unexposed and taking on some elder horses here who lack this one's potential.

Tashakour interests me as ran in two strong maidens last season but Johnny Murtagh's have needed the run this season. The owner's Zelani is also very interesting as operation do very well with this family and dam is closely related to some very good horses including Zannda and Zahrann who ironically was beaten a smidge in this very race for Johnny Murtagh last season. Dam won on debut too and though will need further in time this could be a test of stamina on the likely ground. Shrewd trainer so has an ew squeak if ready to roll on debut.

There is an old adage back the outsider of 3 but though I'm not usually an advocate of that I have to here as I think Copperhead should be favourite despite meeting Gabby's Cross on revised terms from their Newbury clash. My fancy is a C&D Grade 2 winner here in the past and the stiffer track will suit him even more when he worried his rival out of it late on. Sean Bowen takes over on Gabby's Cross but on decent ground and thus stiffer track I fancy Copperhead to win again. Has won four times in veteran races and despite being a 12yo looks as keen as ever. Hold Your Fort no back number either and will love the ground but I think my fancy can make all here.

Very tricky track here and takes some knowing as is sharp enough with tricky obstacles on the turn. This fella has stamina to prove but is 2114 at the course which includes a bumper win, a hurdles win and a fourth over fences. Has twice run really well at Musselburgh lately and shaped both times as if further would suit in so interesting connections have a poke at this marathon trip now for this 9yo. Like jockey booking as Eoin Staples is a cracking rider and his claim is very useful over these marathon trips. Drying ground wouldn't hurt either and I like his chances if held up long enough to try and stay on late. Plenty come in here out of form and though stamina is the worry goes well at this quirky track and can hopefully hit the frame at the very least. Comes here in good form at least and can creep around and run well for shrewd yard.

Massive eye catcher on just second start for new yard when a staying on third at Kempton under Billy Loughnane who'd taken over the steering. Step up in trip will surely suit and is already a turf winner in native France. Will strip fitter than a few of his market rivals and looks to have ability as stuck on well last time on the all weather. Won his race in France on good to soft so even if the ground dries out a bit conditions look perfect. Must go close if can be held onto long enough and show that turn of foot and potential stamina that looked evident last time.

At the edge of the cliff with this one as has been on my radar for some time and if you've followed on here I d put this one up before! Can't believe finished 6th in a Fred Winter at Cheltenham and has only a maiden hurdle win to his name. New trainer again and just fourth start for them but I'm loving the booking of Daragh O'Keefe who rode a well backed third for the yard recently. Not one to put your house on but there is a race in him and looks on a fair mark now in a bang average race and after a nice break. EW squeak if on a going day.

Hard to believe hasn't won since 2yo days and even harder to believe when you think he went on to finish on the heels of the placed horses in an English and Irish 2000 Guineas as a 3yo. Saves best form for this track as is 4532 from four visits here and has arguably been unlucky the last twice. Finished 5th in this last year off a much higher mark and again caught the eye rattling home late on final start of the season when just failing to reel in Desperate Dan. Good claimer up and you feel has been laid right out for this and have to save on him if thinking Orandi can run well as is 11lb better off with last year's third....if my maths is correct! Goes on any ground and though there are potential group horses in here this one has to win a big pot one day and if he does you feel it will be here. Record fresh is good and is the saver bet and must hit the frame on a much lower mark than last year's cracking effort after a troubled passage.

Won the Irish Lincolnshire to land me a nice touch last year before running a cracker in this to further enhance my punting pot, so difficult to ignore despite last two poor efforts. Was smashed in the betting last time out in this year's Irish Lincolnshire under Ryan Moore but never figured there, though a big run must of been expected. Would be a trends buster as Irish trained horses and 8yo's don't tend to win this but on last year's evidence is too big a price to ignore. Young claimer won an apprentice race on him a couple of years ago and his 3lb off puts him just 3lb higher than last season's two best efforts. Good draw as has Shout to aim at and has an ew squeak.

Was a sneaky fancy for the Lincoln itself for me after a cracking effort in the Irish Lincolnshire last time out, so has to be of interest here. Ran a blinder that last time at the Curragh and caught the eye sticking on well in a fastly run race. Should get the same scenario here and won't mind if the ground dries out or gets softer as has form on all going. Colin Keane an eyecatching booking and he was on when this horse caught my eye in February on the all weather when not knocked about and should be spot on here. Fitness onside and form in big fields a plus too so as yard have sent him over despite missing out on the big one I have to back him. Draw a slight concern but has been well backed and luckily nicked a bit of 14's so hoping can hit the frame. Has been on my radar as think there is a big pot to be won with him and trainer is one I like to follow at Dundalk and always note his runners when Colin Keane is jocked up.

Followed this horse closely last season and ran well in so many big handicaps and was so consistent. Steps up to Listed class here but has to be backed as goes well fresh and could be still on the improve given last effort was a career best, winning at Ascot gamely. Won first time up in 2024 and was beaten a head on reappearance last year so hopefully has been primed up and targeted at this event. Won over C&D at the back end of 2024 in a very smart time and as a 5yo could well be a progressive sort in against a few older more exposed types towards the head of the market. Goes on any ground and should run a big race.
