Ran well despite fourth last time and the form looks strong as the three in front that day have all run well since with the second and third actually winning. Has been tried over further but has run well twice over 7f at Kempton and one to keep an eye on dropping in trip. Yard in good form and this former Godolphin inmate looks capable of winning a race soon. First time tongue tie and drop in grade can see my fancy go close.

Good second on debut on debut at Kempton over a mile but pulled clear of the third and had got ability by the oook. Pitched into a better race on turf next time and though couldn't land a blow at Sandown stepping up in trip and class still wasn't disgraced in 6th. The winner had since run a cracker in Group 3 company when second in the Musidora at York and I doubt there is anything in here of that calibre. Should get off the mark for shrewd yard and looks the one to beat.

Won on second start last season after a good third on reappearance and ran a fine second to the reopposing Own Of Our Own in a C&D handicap last time on this year's reappearance. Sure to strip fitter now and lightly enough raced to think can still improve on that effort especially as looks well handicapped. Off the same mark here and 5lb lower than that win on second start last season. Love jockey booking who is in great form as she has won on three of her last twelve mounts and only once finished outside the top 4 in those dozen rides. Looks the one to beat for me.

Is a horse that had caught my eye on more than one occasion and though with third trainer now is not one to give up on yet. Cut no ice on reappearance but that was only poor run of career so far when last in a competive Newmarket handicap and was way too keen early. Has won over a mile on the all weather but should get a mile on turf too as dam was a 10f winner. If settling better can hopefully run a lot better than stable debut and yard do do well when picking up horses from other yards. This one looked to have ability last season and as was in my tracker is too big a price to ignore. Had some good turf form last season and has an ew squeak on best form.

Was only a head away in a Class 2 at Ascot last season from pulling off a hatrick after two 6f wins at Ripon and Haydock. Has to prove has trained on as a 3yo and though disappointing on seasonal reappearance at Newmarket after a breathing op can be given another chance here with the first time tongue tie on. Yard going really well with 5 winners from 18 runners the past fortnight and include some classy sorts running well. This one looks no world beater but was a good 2yo who seemed to act on stiff tracks similar to here and 6f with fastish ground looks ideal. Could be a win or bust bet unless the tongue tie does the business and improves this one.

Won on second start of the season in 2023, third start in 2024 and second start in 2025 so can forgive poor opener at Pontefract when slowly away and never in the race. Is a C&D winner here too as won a novice race as a 3yo and is now a 1lb lower than last winning mark. Sure to strip fitter today and yard starting to hit form and their last four runners have all finished second. Fast ground suits and I think can win this average looking race. Entered in a better race at Sandown on Thursday but catches my eye coming here.

Ran really well on stable debut in the Chester Plate and though finished strongly over further should appreciate this drop in trip at a stiffer track. Was a maiden winner for previous and did run well here in a maiden race that worked out well with the likes of Slaney Drive and Winston Junior coming out and boosting the form in different spheres including over hurdles. Won't want to get too far back but if ridden close to the pace string finishing kick can see him go very close. Goodish ground will suit and has to be the EW play.

I loved this horse last season as won a couple of nice handicaps showing a good attitude when it came to a battle. Bumped into the now top notch Opera Ballo too on the all weather and basically all form last year looks rock solid. Made a very pleasing reappearance winning a Group 3 at Sandown and bar the favourite this looks an open affair for the places. I rate his half brother Almaqam too but he might need the run and softer going and though he has had a crack in Group 1 company already it interests me that owners send over Saddadd too. 10f on decent ground looks perfect and trainer's raiders are always worth looking at. Has to improve but is lightly enough raced to think there is more to come this year and if favourite doesn't perform this solid contender can take advantage. The definite EW play here.

Won on debut in good fashion before being put away to reappear in a Group 3 behind the 1000 guineas winner True Love. Went on to finish on the heels of the leaders again in another Group 3 won by Kensington Lane and the winners of both her races this year are in the Irish 1000 Guineas later on the card and give her form a solid look. In fact had Spinning Around behind on debut and that one won the handicap that Prevelance and Green Carrera competed in last time and gives a tenuous form link on this one's handicap debut. Hasn't been disgraced in better company and though looks on a stiff enough mark here has a touch of class and jockey's claim helps. Should stay this far and looks tge EW banker.

Very much an eyecatcher on debut in a 5f maiden taking on the boys and stayed on really well showing a good attitude despite running green and not getting a clear passage. Sure to appreciate this extra furlong as dam has produced a winner over further and one sibling one on it's second start too. Looks an ordinary enough field to me as many have valuable entries but not at the highest level and on racecourse evidence alone you'd have to like thus one's effort. She bumped into a rival who'd had a run and was booted clear to make all. This filly did well to keep on well once the penny dropped and time was comparable to Sun Goddess' win over the same C&D at Naas. Has to be the EW play here.

Really caught my eye at Naas last time, staying on really well in a Listed event. Though no real excuses, he did meet some interference and might have finished a tad closer. The winner, Mission Central, has won again and is only 10-1 for the Group 1 King Charles III. He's an improving 3yo to keep an eye on. My fancy is a nice, scopey sort on the improve, and as he wasn't raced as a 2yo he could be just coming to himself as he fills into his massive frame. He was less than a length behind Shagraan in a Listed race at Ascot last year, and the fact connections took on older horses with this one tells me he is highly regarded. Obviously he has to improve but has the size to do so, and this might be his year to excel. He seems to go on any ground and is my each-way pick at the prices. I think 6f might suit in time, but he should get a strong pace here and can stay on well to hit the frame at least. He seems to go on any ground too.

Stand out 2yo whose Group 1 defeat of Gstaad in France looks the best form on offer here. Looks the third string from yard's runners on jockey bookings but for has the best chance on form for me. Has been tried at staying trips in good company and catches my eye dropping back to 12f here as best career win was a Listed win at this trip on good ground. Was unlucky not to win the Group 3 Gallinlule here when hampered close home over 10f last season and again shaped that day as if 12f would be the ideal trip. Quality US dam's side of pedigree suggests marathon trips are too far and for me this is her perfect scenario. Wasn't disgraced behind St Leger winner Scandinavia last time and I've been keeping an eye on his price all week. Has been nibbled at all that time and is very interesting taking on stablemate, who won this last year and the German import Nyra also for Joseph O'Brien. Ground will be perfect too if riding on the good side and is a strong fancy for me today.

Was quietly fancied in the Victoria Cup last time to pull off the hat-trick but a poor draw put paid to that chance. Though well beaten, he wasn't knocked about and can go well here. He has run well at Epsom and Windsor, so this tricky, sharp track could suit. He has enjoyed the step up to 7f and did win a couple of 7f all-weather competitive handicaps either side of Christmas. Wasn't disgraced over a mile on seasonal reappearance on heavy ground in a Group 3 in Germany and the second and third have both come out and run solid placed races in a Group 3 and Group 2 subsequently. Then improved on that effort with a very eyecatching staying on third at Chester behind the top notch Lambourn who could be some staying star this season. Trainer and owner won this race last year with ironically a horse who'd finished third in that Huxley at Chester that Ice Max did. Has two admirable adversaries here in Haatem & Boiling Pooint but this 4yo is a course winner over a mile and handles ease in the ground well. Looks likely to be very hard to beat in my opinion with loads in his favour and has enjoyed step up in trip. Arguably a career best last time staying on to chase home the top notch Lambourn. Up just 4lb is fair as would of got a lot more if he had a bigger hooter so could be on a fair mark. Won at Southwell the time before the Cambridgeshire in a race that has worked out pretty well and looks a progressive sort who is improving with racing and could make a decent 5yo. Best form is over a stiff mile or slightly further but down in trip in a big field will get a strong pace to aim at hopefully and did handle the hustle & bustle of the Cambridgeshire well. All her filly form is stacking up nicely and if connections don't know what trip Derby entry Albert Einstein needs, what chance have we got?...so I'm taking the flying filly to win this very average renewal easily. I'd say you don't need to be Albert Einstein to work that one out! ????

I though Zeus Olympios was flashy but he makes this one look like Champion the Wonder Horse but there is nothing purely cosmetic about this fella who comes here on a four timer. Bolted up in the Earl Of Sefton over 9f but I was very interested in the James Doyle interview afterwards that said he was a stronger horse this year but showing more speed too. Finished last season by beating a smart horse I follow called Gladius and though has to improve to win a Group 1 looks the sort to do so. Dropping to a mile a slight concern but looking at entries both Royal Ascot ones are for Group 1's over this trip. Yard obviously think he is a miler and they've won this often enough so good enough for me. Looks a strong favourite and on this track if showing that same speed as last time could well bolt up here as for me every other horse in this race has their own chink. This one though looks rock solid and can stay on strongly once put the race to bed with his turn of foot a furlong or so out.

Ran a very nice race on debut at Lingfield to finish second to a nice sort in Felicitas who won next time out and has just chased home the very smart Legacy Link in the Group 3 Musidora at York. Was then second on next start here at this track to I'm The One who has since gone close in the Cheshire Oaks so form is stacking up nicely. Looks value to me with yard in good form too.

Holds a Group 1 Coronation Cup entry and obviously held in high regard for yard who won this in 2021 & 2022. I'd be very disappointed if this one doesn't win a big pot this year as was decent last year but looked the sort to make a better 4yo. That thought was backed up by reappearance run in France where really caught my eye travelling really well behind the pace setter who made all. This one challenged then got outpaced and passed by Map Of Stars before finding a second wind and stayed on again to be beat by just 1/2l. That was only a Listed event on softish ground but caught my eye how powerful he looked and surely ran as if in need of the race. Should be spot on now and getting 4lb from the reappearing Kalpana looks the bet. Hasn't won since last May but if ground remains on the quick side I fancy him strongly. Has to improve but shrewd yard obviously think he can.

Down the field in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last season and despite that average effort was pretty consistent otherwise. Has the scope to make up into a 3yo and has won over C&D too when showing a good attitude to win at Listed level here in a very quick time on Ebor day. Is a very speedy sort who wouldn't want too much rain and as long as doesn't blow a gasket too early has a cracking chance here. Was behind the favourite at Newmarket in the Cornwallis last backend but was very keen that day, didn't get home, is 2lb better off now for a couple of lengths and will relish a return to this speedier track. Must be a player and as long as not too keen early must go close especially as will blast off in front and can hopefully hang on for a place. Won on debut last season so can go well fresh and I can see her making all here as a sharp 5f looks ideal.

Derby entry who did me a huge favour at Leopardstown in the Ballysax at a nice price despite not being first string then but he does look a good bet here with Ryan Moore onboard now for the first time. That tells me that they might not of thought this one was a world beater at first but he catches my eye as a fine specimen of a horse with plenty of scope, and can keep progressing stepping up in grade. 3-5 now and won't want the ground rattling fast so any rain will help but is firmly on the improve. Form of Ballysax got a boost after the the 2nd,5th & 7th were 123 home in the Group 3 Derby trial back at Leopardstown subsequently. Showed a great attitude to battle well last time and appreciated the step up in trip. Get the impression he has surprised yard a bit as Moore never been on him on the racecourse but he is a lovely type who is getting better all the time. Will be hard to beat as long as ground is good and has a Coral Eclipse entry too so trip should suit again.

Last year's emphatic winner of this race has to be the play again though despite the small field looks a better edition than last year. However is 2/3 at the track and yard are worth following at York and target this meeting particularly well. Needed the run last year on first start of the season before coming here and winning so bodes well won first time up on this year's return despite not looking cherry ripe and will surely strip fitter today. Must of been the target to defend crown as early season target before going onto bigger pots and Oisin Murphy back on is another positive. Unlucky not to win a Group 1 in France last season and though behind Diamond Rain at the Breeders' Cup last back end that yard aren't firing on all cylinders yet. Given course form looks the one to beat especially getting 3lb from Fallen Angel and with Red Letter preferring softer ground. Even money looks a steal.

Second in a class 2 novice on the Friday of this meeting last year he has to be of interest here given form in the book and trainer's record at the track. Was a short head ahead of my main fancy Sea Force in that C&D Heritage Handicap last August I mention in that one's notes and yet is 6lb better off here and off the same mark. Won maiden on first start of last season so can go well fresh and looks a knocking ew bet on seasonal return given the chance he has on the book with Sea Force over C&D form. Yard also worth following here and in 2025 had 12 winners from 54 runners at a 22% strike rate yielding a tidy £11.56 lsp. Had to be the EW banker of the day and I'd like to see him and Sea Force battle this out close home with both yards profitable to follow at this meeting. Balding had a double on this day herd last season and this one is a nice price to boot.

Has twice finished behind Mirsky this season but was arguably unlucky the last day when not getting the smoothest of passages in the Thirsk Hint Cup. Gets a 2lb pull for that unlucky 2l defeat and did win on third start last season, so with a couple of runs under the belt now looks ready to strike. Trainer William Haggas did me proud yesterday and is the man to follow here at York and last year had a lovely 29% strike rate yielding a tidy £8.18 lsp so all his runners are worth a look. Sure to be spot on now and though only 6th on sole visit to this track over C&D last August that was in a very competitive Heritage Handicap and was staying on at the end. Given a clear passage today must go close and is only a 1lb higher than that unlucky run behind Mirsky last time

Not the best handicapped on first look but gets a 6lb pull with Jakajaro for about four lengths from the clash at Newmarket and has the assistance of Oisin Murphy today. He is an eyecatching booking as was onboard for previous Irish trainer when raiding these shores at Epsom a couple of years ago. Was a very unlucky second there that day and is a 1lb lower now so on that piece of form might actually be on a fair mark. Decent draw so can track the pace and jockey does return a profit if you back him blind here over the past 5 seasons returning a plus £7.21 lsp. Interests me connections have gone for Murphy and this one likes a sharp 5f so could well be suited to this speedy test. Up in class here but did run well last time out with a good second at Bath. Holds an entry at Hamilton in a few days in a class lower so catches the eye they come here instead as that might of been an easier assignment. EW squeak.
