Won really well last time out and looked value for more than winning margin as won a bit cosily. Up 4lb looks fair and thus improving 3yo can go well here. Draw can help and stays further so can either slot in if getting a good pace to aim at or dictate from the front as we know has strong stamina. Will go close as long as ground not too quick.

I really fancied her last time based on best form last season when twice a Listed race winner and a good second to the smart Havana Anna. Was heavily backed but ran a stinker on bad ground so back on a better surface I'll give her another chance. Won last season at the Curragh on good ground and won't mind this stiff 5f here. Showed had trained on with a nose defeat on seasonal reappearance at Dundalk and on that course second here to Havana Anna has a right chance today. Is way too big a price to ignore given I liked her so much when conditions obviously didn't suit last time and she can run much better now back on better going. Two Group 1 entries at Royal Ascot suggest connections think she can make up into a crack sprinter this year and has a definite squeak here.

Three efforts at Newcastle on the all weather clear show he has ability as was beaten just a neck on debut over 5f before winning next time out stepping up to 6f. Two subsequent winners have emerged from that race and my fancy ran other blinder over 6f again at Newcastle last time. Up 2lb but could be even better on turf so looks still on a fair mark.Yard finished last month and started this month in good form with a few winners and this one has a definite EW shout. Is a bit in and out but has ability and was a big eyecatcher on seasonal return when runner up to the admirable Big Gossey in the Listed Gladness Stakes staying on really well. Won over C&D on seasonal return here last season so goes well at the track, though probably wouldn't mind a bit more give in the ground. However on his second at the Curragh to Diego Valasquez in a Group 2 last summer beaten a neck, he should be odds on fav here!! That horse went on to beat subsequent Lockinge winner Notable Speech in a French Group 1 a head, and on that form alone my fancy here might of run a big race in the Lockinge himself! Lol!! We know that probably wouldn't of happened but what I'm saying this boy is very capable on his day and is way overpriced here.

Ran in a very competive affair on the all weather at Newcastle on Good Friday and plenty have come out of that race and performed with credit switched to the turf including the third who has won since that day. Won on debut at Bath so can operate on the turf and had a definite EW shout dropping in grade. Looks a bit better than this grade and can run a big race.,

Yard won this race last year with young Jack Kearney doing the steering and he's on this new recruit and it really catches the eye connections run him in this deep race as well as the tip top Far From Dandy. Has a much easier apprentice race entry at Cork on Tuesday so that catches my eye too that they come here especially as they have the likely favourite too. Won the Irish Cambridgeshire last season for Dermot Weld and is 5lb higher now but young Jack takes a valuable 3lb of that off. No show on final start last season over 10f so drop in trip should help and though we don't know if has trained on or not is one to note on first start for last year's winning yard of this race.

Tends to need a run each season and did win on second start last year and was beaten a neck on second start the year before. Ran well to a point last time on this year's reappearance and though well held by the reopposing Scottish Dancer should strip fitter today. The step up in trip will help and so should a return to this track where he is 2/5 and ran a blinder over C&D last September when flying at the death to be just denied by The Crafty Mole. Off the same mark of 71 here has a cracking EW shout now has that run under his belt. Yard have had a few nice priced winners in recent days so should go well.

I really like Indalo here who finished last season in fine form and is only a nose away from being a Cambridgeshire winner where he nearly nailed the good yardstick Boiling Point on the line. Up just 4lb is fair as would of got a lot more if he had a bigger hooter so could be on a fair mark. Won at Southwell the time before the Cambridgeshire in a race that has worked out pretty well and looks a progressive sort who is improving with racing and could make a decent 5yo. Best form is over a stiff mile or slightly further but down in trip in a big field will get a strong pace to aim at hopefully and did handle the hustle & bustle of the Cambridgeshire well. Yard did me a big favour with Rahiebb yesterday and they did win this race last year so I fancy Indalo strongly who looks a corking EW punt as will be staying on strongest and might even win if fit enough on return to action. Ended last season with a career best and this doesn't look the deepest renewal to my untrained eye.

Taking on the boys here getting weight with the standard of her 2yo filly form in the book looks like robbery here to me. Finished last season in the Group 1 Cheveley Park less than 2l behind subsequent 1000 Guineas heroine True Love and that is top form. Beat American Queen the time before at York and that one has come out this season to be beat just a neck in the Group 3 Nell Gwyn. On second run was a neck behind Venetian Sun in a Group 2 at Newmarket and that one went on to win a Group 1 in France with Wise Approach behind beaten slightly further than she beat Royal Fixation, and on that form alone my fancy looks a good thing here. All her filly form is stacking up nicely and if connections don't know what trip Derby entry Albert Einstein needs, what chance have we got?...so I'm taking the flying filly to win this very average renewal easily. I'd say you don't need to be Albert Einstein to work that one out! ????

I though Zeus Olympios was flashy but he makes this one look like Champion the Wonder Horse but there is nothing purely cosmetic about this fella who comes here on a four timer. Bolted up in the Earl Of Sefton over 9f but I was very interested in the James Doyle interview afterwards that said he was a stronger horse this year but showing more speed too. Finished last season by beating a smart horse I follow called Gladius and though has to improve to win a Group 1 looks the sort to do so. Dropping to a mile a slight concern but looking at entries both Royal Ascot ones are for Group 1's over this trip. Yard obviously think he is a miler and they've won this often enough so good enough for me. Looks a strong favourite and on this track if showing that same speed as last time could well bolt up here as for me every other horse in this race has their own chink. This one though looks rock solid and can stay on strongly once put the race to bed with his turn of foot a furlong or so out.

Holds a Group 1 Coronation Cup entry and obviously held in high regard for yard who won this in 2021 & 2022. I'd be very disappointed if this one doesn't win a big pot this year as was decent last year but looked the sort to make a better 4yo. That thought was backed up by reappearance run in France where really caught my eye travelling really well behind the pace setter who made all. This one challenged then got outpaced and passed by Map Of Stars before finding a second wind and stayed on again to be beat by just 1/2l. That was only a Listed event on softish ground but caught my eye how powerful he looked and surely ran as if in need of the race. Should be spot on now and getting 4lb from the reappearing Kalpana looks the bet. Hasn't won since last May but if ground remains on the quick side I fancy him strongly. Has to improve but shrewd yard obviously think he can.

Down the field in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last season and despite that average effort was pretty consistent otherwise. Has the scope to make up into a 3yo and has won over C&D too when showing a good attitude to win at Listed level here in a very quick time on Ebor day. Is a very speedy sort who wouldn't want too much rain and as long as doesn't blow a gasket too early has a cracking chance here. Was behind the favourite at Newmarket in the Cornwallis last backend but was very keen that day, didn't get home, is 2lb better off now for a couple of lengths and will relish a return to this speedier track. Must be a player and as long as not too keen early must go close especially as will blast off in front and can hopefully hang on for a place. Won on debut last season so can go well fresh and I can see her making all here as a sharp 5f looks ideal.

Derby entry who did me a huge favour at Leopardstown in the Ballysax at a nice price despite not being first string then but he does look a good bet here with Ryan Moore onboard now for the first time. That tells me that they might not of thought this one was a world beater at first but he catches my eye as a fine specimen of a horse with plenty of scope, and can keep progressing stepping up in grade. 3-5 now and won't want the ground rattling fast so any rain will help but is firmly on the improve. Form of Ballysax got a boost after the the 2nd,5th & 7th were 123 home in the Group 3 Derby trial back at Leopardstown subsequently. Showed a great attitude to battle well last time and appreciated the step up in trip. Get the impression he has surprised yard a bit as Moore never been on him on the racecourse but he is a lovely type who is getting better all the time. Will be hard to beat as long as ground is good and has a Coral Eclipse entry too so trip should suit again.

Last year's emphatic winner of this race has to be the play again though despite the small field looks a better edition than last year. However is 2/3 at the track and yard are worth following at York and target this meeting particularly well. Needed the run last year on first start of the season before coming here and winning so bodes well won first time up on this year's return despite not looking cherry ripe and will surely strip fitter today. Must of been the target to defend crown as early season target before going onto bigger pots and Oisin Murphy back on is another positive. Unlucky not to win a Group 1 in France last season and though behind Diamond Rain at the Breeders' Cup last back end that yard aren't firing on all cylinders yet. Given course form looks the one to beat especially getting 3lb from Fallen Angel and with Red Letter preferring softer ground. Even money looks a steal.

Second in a class 2 novice on the Friday of this meeting last year he has to be of interest here given form in the book and trainer's record at the track. Was a short head ahead of my main fancy Sea Force in that C&D Heritage Handicap last August I mention in that one's notes and yet is 6lb better off here and off the same mark. Won maiden on first start of last season so can go well fresh and looks a knocking ew bet on seasonal return given the chance he has on the book with Sea Force over C&D form. Yard also worth following here and in 2025 had 12 winners from 54 runners at a 22% strike rate yielding a tidy £11.56 lsp. Had to be the EW banker of the day and I'd like to see him and Sea Force battle this out close home with both yards profitable to follow at this meeting. Balding had a double on this day herd last season and this one is a nice price to boot.

Has twice finished behind Mirsky this season but was arguably unlucky the last day when not getting the smoothest of passages in the Thirsk Hint Cup. Gets a 2lb pull for that unlucky 2l defeat and did win on third start last season, so with a couple of runs under the belt now looks ready to strike. Trainer William Haggas did me proud yesterday and is the man to follow here at York and last year had a lovely 29% strike rate yielding a tidy £8.18 lsp so all his runners are worth a look. Sure to be spot on now and though only 6th on sole visit to this track over C&D last August that was in a very competitive Heritage Handicap and was staying on at the end. Given a clear passage today must go close and is only a 1lb higher than that unlucky run behind Mirsky last time

Not the best handicapped on first look but gets a 6lb pull with Jakajaro for about four lengths from the clash at Newmarket and has the assistance of Oisin Murphy today. He is an eyecatching booking as was onboard for previous Irish trainer when raiding these shores at Epsom a couple of years ago. Was a very unlucky second there that day and is a 1lb lower now so on that piece of form might actually be on a fair mark. Decent draw so can track the pace and jockey does return a profit if you back him blind here over the past 5 seasons returning a plus £7.21 lsp. Interests me connections have gone for Murphy and this one likes a sharp 5f so could well be suited to this speedy test. Up in class here but did run well last time out with a good second at Bath. Holds an entry at Hamilton in a few days in a class lower so catches the eye they come here instead as that might of been an easier assignment. EW squeak.

3-5 At this track and has clocked decent times on the clock in those three victories at the track. Goes on any ground and trainer mops up good numbers here at this course and last year alone returned figures of 13-45 at a 29% strike rate and a profit of £8.18 lsp. All that says little about this one's chances but is a three time C&D winner on last three starts here and may well be better for the return to action in the Abernant at Newmarket. Wasn't far behind a match for Aramram there but can get closer still to that improver with a run under his belt and decent form around here. Is a Listed winner over C&D and hasn't got the fancy entries like some in here so given course form I'd say this is very much his early season target. Flopped over a mile in the Britannia at Royal Ascot last season after stepping up from 6f, but when you consider best run was over Sandown's stiff 7f on quickish ground then you have to think today's conditions are perfect. Nearly reeled in the reopposing Mudbir that day and is 2lb better off for that diminishing 1/2l and has had the benefit of a run. Won cosily at Kempton on reappearance after being gelded and when sometimes the cruellest cut takes some getting over it was good to see this one get off to a winning start. Must have improvement to come and though a little worse off with Great Aclaim from their Goodwood clash last August can turn the tables on this more conventional track. Had that winning Kempton form that I always like to see with Ascot runners and had to be the EW bet of the day despite drawn stall 1 where he might need a bit of luck in running. There are many in here who can be given a squeak but on the form book plenty have something to prove and hardly float the boat. This one though on the other hand could easily go under "Could be Anything!" Cliche but really could be anything! Interests me Classic winning team start off here in this handicap off a stiff mark and may well have the beating of main rival Jupiter Ammon on the form book anyway so must be the value. Beat a horse at Epsom called Bulletin by an easy looking long 2 lengths giving him 4lb and that one was 1/2l in front of Jupiter Ammon at Newbury at Newbury last month giving him 3lb. On the weights and measures Celeborn has to be the bet given showed can handle a tricky course at Epsom, so this place should hold no fears. Looks the no brainer ew bet of the day given last performance was a very brave second in the St Leger and may well of won in another stride or two. Was a massive eyecatcher in the Queens Vase at Royal Ascot over 1m6f on fast ground where connections would of had a doubt whether he'd stay, but ran as if a stiffer test would suit as borne out in St Leger. Given that Royal Ascot run I think can throw his hat into the Gold Cup picture here. Handles fast ground and though hasn't won since debut has posted some cracking efforts. Will want a stiffer test in time but has quality and on St Leger run posted a very favourable time on the clock compared to Jan Breughal/IIlinois' run over the same C&D in the 2024 version of that race on much quicker going. Goes well for William Carson and yard in good form with plenty running really well in recent weeks. 6lb higher than last all weather win and 4lb higher than that last decent C&D effort and had a definite EW shout if ready to roll on belated return.

Hugo Palmer is the leading trainer here in the past 5 years and though his 41 winners have come at just an 18% strike rate he returns a tidy plus £19.49 level stakes profit to a £1 in that period. This one has contributed two of those wins winning here on debut over 5f before following up over C&D next time up so is proven on the track. Draw not ideal but did win from stall 7 of 8 on the track and might get a good lead with plenty of pace on the inside. Yard saddle 3 but all make seasonal return and given this one is 2/2 at the track I'll row in with him. Is entered in a 5f race here in a couple of days but interesting runs here despite average draw. Didn't improve after two initial wins but did try 7f, Listed level and the stiff Pontefract on softish ground and returning to this track can see major improvement if the ground stays quickish. Definite EW squeak if ready to roll.

Was only 5th in this race last year but is a 1lb lower now and also did manage to win on this card over slightly shorter two years ago. Should strip fitter now after a pipe opener and does run well at this track as is a two time course winner. Draw could of been kinder but still has chances and is also a 1lb lower than when a good second to Two Tempting here over C&D a couple of years ago. Must go well as stays this far, loves the track and ground should be fine.

Was a classy individual for Andrew Balding and I remember backing him to win one day at Newbury and off a 5lb lower mark today had to be the bet. Actually may well of won last time out as nearly got up at Pontefract and might be a winner without a penalty so off that same mark of 65 looks too well handicapped to ignore. Best form is over a mile on fast ground so with everything aligned today has to go well following best run for a while and with yard going well. Big shout for me.

Was quite well fancied last time over C&D and though just behind Knightmare and meeting on the same terms I'd fancy this one to reverse those places as was pretty keen that day and had plenty to do so did well in the circumstances. Is a 1lb lower than when winning last April at Brighton on fast ground so ticks a lot of boxes today with Rhys Clutterbuck taking over the steering. Well enough exposed but looks an EW play at the very least in a race that looks winnable and yard have thrown the kitchen sink at this one with the first time blinkers on and the tongue tie back on. If settling better with those gizmos on has a fine chance off a fair mark.

Was very nearly the nap as ran a cracker last time in a competive Class 3 handicap at Lingfield on the all weather and would of found the 6f too far then. The fact that three winners and a few places have emerged from that race suggests the form is okay too. Won at Wolverhampton in March over 5f and the second has won since, so form is stacking up all over the place. Is a C&D winner to boot and loves rattling fast ground so with yard flying having sent out 7 winners from last 17 runners since the 20th April including their last 3 I fancy this one strongly returning to turf with trip and going looking perfect.

Handicap debutant really catches my eye, as has shown ability and has run in three maidens won by the likes of Needle Match (4th in the Greenham since, rated 106), I'll Be Back (winner again since, rated 90) and Westport (winner again since now rated 96) and I doubt there is anything in here of any of that calibre. Yard trained dam who was a 5f winner and 6f second here at Windsor and showed best form on good to firm which her son gets for the first time. Must be the EW play of the day with 4 places on offer and the hope he'll handle the track, show improved form on fast ground and meeting a lesser calibre of oppo. Nice price too.

Caught my eye at Deauville on seasonal reappearance in the Group 3 Prix Imprudence where she travelled nicely only to be blindsided by a race fit outsider. Stuck on well for second and that straight mile reminds me of Newmarket so should handle the demands here. Beaten a nose by subsequent Group 2 winner Green Spirit on debut and she was unlucky not to be unbeaten as a 2yo. Dam has produced the winner of 10 races from her 5 foals who have raced from 7f-1m1f so my fancy should stay this trip, and has already acted on decent ground. Group 2 winner herself as a 2yo and has to be on the shortlist for Master French trainer who has won this before with similar sort.

Finished last season as a Listed winner at Dundalk over 5f to add to her Listed winner on the turf at the Curragh and is a nice filly. Showed she has trained on when getting nutted on the line over 6f at Dundalk by a race fit stablemate. That should of blown away the cobwebs and she has fitness edge over many. The drop to 5f surely will suit this speedy filly and she'll like the ground so has to have a major chance. Holds some fancy Royal Ascot Group 1 sprint entries and looks a very nice price though has to make up 3.5l on Havana Anna, however had that run under her belt and looks a massive ew bet to me.

Comes here on a real roll and took the step up in trip and class to win a Grade 1 last time out and promises to stay this extra furlong. Has tasted victory here and with Brad Cox in good form must be one for the shortlist given coming here on the back of a career best.

Catches my eye that ran over 12f at Gulfstream last March before coming here and winning over this specialist trip of 9f albeit at a lowly level. Follows the same path now and ran a cracker last time over 12f when finishing second to Far Bridge in a Grade 3 and that one is decent having won at Grade 2 level. This is tougher still but with C&D winning form has to be an ew player here.

Stopped the clock in a tidy time last time out in a Grade 3 over this trip and may be overpriced here. Improved for meeting the 7f trip for the first time and form looks comparable with the favourite on the clock. Less exposed and could go well for that man Bob Baffert.

Sire was second in the Greenham before coming on and winning this and this one caught the eye in that trial himself finishing an eyecatching fourth. Price collapsed but has eased again and can only put that down to the draw and looks to have a right chance and a rare runner for shrewd yard in this early classic. Step up in trip sure to suit and though might have to suffer early doors to get a position can rattle home late on with at least a fitness edge on many. Yard in cracking form and debut win was on heavy ground but pedigree screams quicker ground will suit. Not as battle hardened as many but ran a cracking trial and if stripping fitter today must be the ew play even though a quick reappearance from the Greenham is a slight concern, however ran as if would come on for the run and appreciate an extra furlong. Gets that and hopefully can emulate dad!

First name I look for in this sphere is Keith Donoghue who is the master and this booking is very eyecatching. Not disgraced when fifth behind Vanillier over C&D last month on first try at this game and hopefully can improve on that effort and go close. Nutted on the post last time at Fairyhouse in a decent handicap chase and with further and better ground today must go well for connections. Lightly enough raced for a 7yo and could well be the fly in the ointment here against the seasoned pros of this sphere.

Finished last season down the field in the Cambridgeshire but other than that effort was most progressive and was a good 3yo. Showed had trained on with a cracking seasonal reappearance making all and beating that fair sort Arisaig who has a right chance down at Goodwood. This is tougher with a 5lb penalty but with so many needing a run or two after a gelding operation it was nice to see him bowl along and show improved form. Has to back that up but have to play the Arisaig double. Has now won on both courses here and likes quick ground so for bang in form duo who won this race last year together I fancy them for a repeat.

Nearly 2 years since last won but that was here over C&D and course form here is key. Travels well and is a consistent sort who looks still on the improve and was a cracking second on seasonal debut. Chased home Jonquil here in Group 2 giving that decent tool 3lb and he won nicely at Ascot the other day. Entered at Newmarket tomorrow but comes here instead and if Blue Bolt needs the run this one looks tge likeliest winner. The fast ground might even mean she has too much toe for the favourite anyway. Small field, good course form and Spencer up who gets on well with the mare mean I love her chances. Entered in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup later in the month so connections must think she is on the improve. Massive chance for me with so much in favour and a tidy price too.

Was a beaten even money favourite here last year before returning to this track in November to win his maiden over a mile and will relish it if it rides fast. Jockey going great guns and has already booted home a winner on the card here yesterday and earlier tonight too. Can go well again and looks a tidy ew poke.
