Comes here on a real roll and took the step up in trip and class to win a Grade 1 last time out and promises to stay this extra furlong. Has tasted victory here and with Brad Cox in good form must be one for the shortlist given coming here on the back of a career best.

Catches my eye that ran over 12f at Gulfstream last March before coming here and winning over this specialist trip of 9f albeit at a lowly level. Follows the same path now and ran a cracker last time over 12f when finishing second to Far Bridge in a Grade 3 and that one is decent having won at Grade 2 level. This is tougher still but with C&D winning form has to be an ew player here.

Stopped the clock in a tidy time last time out in a Grade 3 over this trip and may be overpriced here. Improved for meeting the 7f trip for the first time and form looks comparable with the favourite on the clock. Less exposed and could go well for that man Bob Baffert.

Sire was second in the Greenham before coming on and winning this and this one caught the eye in that trial himself finishing an eyecatching fourth. Price collapsed but has eased again and can only put that down to the draw and looks to have a right chance and a rare runner for shrewd yard in this early classic. Step up in trip sure to suit and though might have to suffer early doors to get a position can rattle home late on with at least a fitness edge on many. Yard in cracking form and debut win was on heavy ground but pedigree screams quicker ground will suit. Not as battle hardened as many but ran a cracking trial and if stripping fitter today must be the ew play even though a quick reappearance from the Greenham is a slight concern, however ran as if would come on for the run and appreciate an extra furlong. Gets that and hopefully can emulate dad!

First name I look for in this sphere is Keith Donoghue who is the master and this booking is very eyecatching. Not disgraced when fifth behind Vanillier over C&D last month on first try at this game and hopefully can improve on that effort and go close. Nutted on the post last time at Fairyhouse in a decent handicap chase and with further and better ground today must go well for connections. Lightly enough raced for a 7yo and could well be the fly in the ointment here against the seasoned pros of this sphere.

Finished last season down the field in the Cambridgeshire but other than that effort was most progressive and was a good 3yo. Showed had trained on with a cracking seasonal reappearance making all and beating that fair sort Arisaig who has a right chance down at Goodwood. This is tougher with a 5lb penalty but with so many needing a run or two after a gelding operation it was nice to see him bowl along and show improved form. Has to back that up but have to play the Arisaig double. Has now won on both courses here and likes quick ground so for bang in form duo who won this race last year together I fancy them for a repeat.

Nearly 2 years since last won but that was here over C&D and course form here is key. Travels well and is a consistent sort who looks still on the improve and was a cracking second on seasonal debut. Chased home Jonquil here in Group 2 giving that decent tool 3lb and he won nicely at Ascot the other day. Entered at Newmarket tomorrow but comes here instead and if Blue Bolt needs the run this one looks tge likeliest winner. The fast ground might even mean she has too much toe for the favourite anyway. Small field, good course form and Spencer up who gets on well with the mare mean I love her chances. Entered in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup later in the month so connections must think she is on the improve. Massive chance for me with so much in favour and a tidy price too.

Was a good second here at the track when riding fast in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks at last year's meeting and that arguably is one of the best pieces of form on offer. If getting a cleaner break from a better draw must have an ew chance with Ben Curtis back onboard. Definitely shorter given that cracking run on sole visit here and last year's effort can be marked up as broke tardily from low draw and is much better berthed today. If the plan could go well at a price.

Have to have a saver on this one who ran well on handicap debut last time on fourth start over 5f and caught the eye staying on into 7th place. The winner and third have gone in again since and the fifth was second too behind one of those winners so form looks decent. Off the same mark and with an extra furlong here could go well at a price.

Caught the eye last time running on really well to be second to a fair sort who has gone in again off a mark of 68. That suggests off the same mark must go close. Has run really well on all three starts and has hit the line well on each occasion. Twice has run over 7f so looks as if will need a strong pace over this trip but with yard going well and looking on a handy mark on handicap debut can go close. Jockey nailed one here yesterday and another stat I like is ironically this one's dam won on her fourth start. Ran a blinder on seasonal debut over C&D and looked the archetypal "Needed the run" as went close up close hone before fading then rallying again to be best just a length. Ran well again next time out over a trip too short at Newcastle and returning to 6f on a track that suits had a big chance. Was unlucky not to win on point to point debut when nearly reeling in Red Acres Max who had transferred to Jamie Snowden and looks a nice sort who has won his bumper now. This win really easily from Begorra Man on rules debut and that one has come out and run two good solid seconds including at this meeting earlier in the week. That form leaves him a bit behind the favourite who was 6th in the champion bumper at Cheltenham but on quicker ground my fancy could be the one if handling it. Can't resist a little poke at this decent mare who was third in this race last year which was the second time she'd run well at this meeting as was a good second to Ballyburn in a Grade 2 novice hurdle in 2024. Can be forgiven last run as the weather was awful at Cheltenham and the first time blinkers worn then are left off now. Has been third in a Grade 1 Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree and is one I've always thought could pop up at a price. Was third in the Yorkshire Rose at Doncaster in January, a Grade 2 she'd wintered before and does stay this trip. For me good ground is the key and could well run a big race at a big price for yard who had a nice double at Punchestown yesterday. Their sole runner today and Sam Ewing booked who did ride Teahupoo to win this last year and I'm hoping he might know how to beat that rival and the rest today! Hopefully been teed up for this.

Is a horse I've always thought might land one these big handicaps for shrewd yard and often runs well in these type of races with the apprentices up so noteworthy Keith Donoghue is onboard today. Was just moving into contention and catching the eye when tipping up in the Topham at Aintree last time. Won a Grade 3 handicap chase at Fairyhouse last season and isn't much higher now. Best form on softer ground but does handle decent going and was a big field hurdle winner here over C&D as a 5yo. Was a decent novice and one I'd thought would make up into a nice staying hurdler after winning two of his first three races and chasing home the smart Potters Charm one day at Cheltenham. Has not really scaled those heights but went well for Jack Kennedy at Naas in a Pertemps qualifier beaten a staying on neck before running okay in the Final itself at Cheltenham when a plodding on 11th after a bumpy passage. This trip on goodish ground looks tailor made and I recall was quietly fancied by many at Cheltenham. Looks well handicapped now and Jack Kennedy back onboard so looks a fair pick at a nice price. Have to back him given he's been on my radar for years and I once well fancied him for a Martin Pipe one year where he was unplaced behind stablemate the very good mate Wodhoh. Could run well now back on a sound surface after two disappointing runs in decent company on heavy ground. Made a pleasing debut for yard beating Minella Boss and subsequent Fred Winter/Boodles winner Saratoga and that was on yielding going. Was fair on the flat for Sir Mark Prescott and good ground suits so the quicker it gets the more I'd like his chances in this novice hurdle that yard won last year. Galopin Des Champs won this last year after finishing second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup but he'd of been pushed to put up a better performance than this fella did in the Gold Cup and he's a worthy favourite with a massive chance here. Anything near evens us a steal and it is hard to believe he is only an 8yo given what he has achieved in his career. Will be better suited to better going than Fact To File and though that one will be fresher it still hard to get this one's performance out of your mind from Cheltenham. 3/4 at the track and it's 2-1 between him and Fact To File this season so a mouthwatering clash is in prospect and I just favour the aptly named Warrior.

Had backed this one at Cheltenham and really caught the eye staying on in good fashion and if improving on that effort is a big player here to finish a lot closer to the favourite who win that bumper. Dam has produced two NH winners over 2m3f plus so this one could be better suited by a further trip but one sibling did win over hurdles here on good ground over 2m. Jody Townend's mounts in bumpers are ones I look at closely as she has done me many punting favours and she has an impressive 25% strike rate in this sphere over the last 5 years. My current favourite horse in training as I hooked into her early doors when noting she kept good company and she hasn't let me down with 5 wins on the spin. Has progressed from maiden company to winning the Grade 1 Honeysuckle Mares' Hurdle and is as game as they come. I fancied her for the Albert Bartlett and so did jockey Brian Hayes but trainer has campaigned her brilliantly. Half brother was a good ground 3m winner over hurdles and a 3m2f Chase winner so I reckon she'll stay ok. Went on to win her own mares' maiden hurdle at Clonmel and that form is okay as a couple of winners and plenty of placed horses have emerged from it. Better than evens looks a steal and I can't desert this one who did me a massive favour at Cheltenham and will find this race much more easier to boss than the Brown Advisory. Still can't get his demolition job in the Kauto Star out of my head and I think next year's King George is a realistic target. Loved the way Cobden dictated matters at Cheltenham and once challenged pulled out more and the fact he is unbeaten at Punchestown in two bodes well too. Always a concern when favourites come here after hitting the target at other spring festivals but he's had a long enough break and this doesn't look the strongest renewal to me. Yielding ground not a bother and this very likeable sort has to go close. Shame unseated at Sandown as coukd well be unbeaten this season and what price would he have been then? Second at this meeting last year to Cashedale Lad who is a dual Listed winner since and wasn't disgraced at Grade 1 level behind Lossiemouth too so on that form alone my fancy has a great chance. That was a novice as has her wins been since but two miles on goodish ground looks perfect and will handle the big field scenario too. Was coming to go close on handicap debut last time at Kelso when well backed and but for a late mistake may well of won. Off the same mark here must go well and if ironing out any mistakes looks a cracking EW bet to nowt. Has to improve to win but travels well and has a touch of class was saved a hard race last time when chance went with the blunder and hopefully that kindness is rewarded today. This doesn't look the hottest race and unless any the debutants are a bit special this filly looks the one to be on. Made a nice debut to be second to one who'd had a run and though was pretty keen ran on well to be second showing a good attitude battling on well. Dam has produced three winners including a Group 2 winner, a 1m6f winner in Bahrain and plenty who handled goodish ground. Main rival could be Sounds Great but on pedigree may want much further and heavy ground so the safest bet is the favourite. Group 1 entries in the Pretty Polly & Irish Oaks suggest this one may be smart and on her own breeding page a step up in trip on decent ground is what she wants. Must be the one to beat.

Unbeaten over fences and won well here last time over 3m but won't mind the drip in trip either as went well the time before at Newbury when faced with a speedier test. That Newbury form looks better now too as had stablemate Holloway Queen behind who went on to win the NH Chase at Cheltenham amongst others who've boosted the form since too. Will like decent ground and this decent jumper handled these stern fences last time and can make all here.

Not sure this is his best trip but will bounce off the ground and if getting an easy lead might just burn this lot off. Has been on good form this season over hurdles and though wasn't at his best at Cheltenham last time when running back over fences wasn't knocked about once chance had gone. Return to hurdles and smaller field here instead of the hustle and bustle of the likes of the Grand Annual will suit and with a liking of good to firm ground won't mind if it continues to dry out. Paul Nicholls will want to make some statements today that he can reason as Dan Skelton takes all the plaudits and he has targeted this meeting well before. Has got some solid chances today and this one at his best will go well here.

I thought he pulled out much more when challenged by Road To Home in the Kim Muir and I should know as had some nice punts rolling on to the Willie Mullins raider. Shouldn't be much between them again but the stiffer finish here might suit my fancy more and he won't mind it if the ground gets quicker too. The form of the Kim Muir is working out well too as there have been plenty placed in Nationals since and Ask Brewster is still young enough to think best days are ahead. Disappointed when fancied for the London National here earlier in the season but the ground would of been softer than ideal. Showed a good attitude to get back up last time and just the sort I like when they face this stiff finish. Will be suited to the ground more than most I think and is still improving by the look of a career best last time.

Has to improve and obviously stable second string, but Tristan Durrell is 121 on this horse from three rides and gets a good tune out of him. Ran no real race in the Greatwood over hurdles on debut for yard but won on chase debut and put in a career best winning a Grade 1 at Aintree last time. Has finished 1st & 2nd on ground when there has been firm in the description (as Sporting Life Form Guide states) and won't mind if it dries out even more. Has won at Exeter so won't mind this similar stiff track and stays a bit further so can be smuggled into the race as I'm sure he'll get a good pace to aim at and hopefully fly up the hill to reel in the pacesetters. Thinking Jonbon might find this a bit sharp on fast ground and it interests me yard run him here when Thistle Ask looks the main danger to Jonbon. Could have a squeak as looks the fly in the ointment and is only a 7yo so could still be progressive.

Only distance winner in the field and ran well on this card on this card when rallying gamely and nearly reeling in the winner Mark Of Gold. Proved handled this track and step up in trip this time will suit. Won't mind decent ground and off just a 3lb higher mark than that gallant second last year has to be the EW play. Not disgraced in the Topham last time and can go well here if ridden more patiently. Has proven stamina and has gone well at the track to so looks a fair chance.

Improving sort who is 3 out of 4 for yard and only defeat was in the Truimph Hurdle trial at Cheltenham when third behind Maestro Conti who went so close in the actual Truimph at Cheltenham. Had subsequent Grade 2 winner La Luna Artiste behind that day too and she could very easily enhance that form again in the opener here. Obviously has been targeted at this race as missed out Cheltenham and Aintree and could be a good send off for Harry Cobden as he goes his own way next season for JP McManus. Travels and jumps well and though on a stiff enough mark dropping into a handicap looks a classy sort. Has to run well for yard who have won this twice since 2019 and won't mind decent ground.

Three out four for the yard and only defeat was at Cheltenham in the Truimph Hurdle trial I mention later which is working out well. Will prefer this stiff right handed track better I'm sure. as has won around the likes of Exeter and also will relish quick ground as has already won on going with firm in the description. Gradd 2 Adonis winner at Kempton last time out and though has to give weight away to all looks a progressive sort in what doesn't look a deep race. Lots to like about her emphatic win at Kempton last time out and another won who has been kept for this after swerving Cheltenham and Aintree. Should go well.
