Randy Rann

I have been a member of Olbg since September 2009 and must say it's one of the most user friendly sites out there. The fact all tips, comments, stats & performances are recorded and available for inspection it really does mean you have to bring a professional approach. You are judged on what you say and do, so I will do my best to help others along the way in our journey to prise some profit out of those miserly bookies. I am a genuine horse racing enthusiast and have spent (or some might say wasted!) over 30 years as an avid punter and the beauty is I am still learning. This site definitely helps as the information and knowledge of other members available is excellent.....and free. My other hobbies are photography and cricket, I'm the current Skipper of Seveno CC a south London friendly cricket team and we're always looking for new players. I'm also a keen photographer and have captured some great memories especially from Cheltenham and if any photos catch your eye, please get in touch. For me, all roads from about November lead to the greatest sporting event of the year, The Cheltenham Festival and I have been going nearly every year since 1998. The memories, stories, good punts & bad will make a great book one day! I always look for value and hopefully a few juicy punts click on here. I would say horse racing is my game but I do like the odd dabble in the golf, boxing & cricket markets. Enjoy the ride!

Was an eyecatcher last time when third on first start for over 300 days and the winner of that race went on to get to within 3l of the mighty new kid on the block The New Lion. Obviously flattered there but my fancy looks well handicapped off this mark and is lightly enough raced after just 3 starts to think can win a race or two. Yard could do with a winner big most have been running well and if coming on for belated reappearance looks a worthy favourite here.

Was ok in three runs in Ireland but has looked more than decent in two mares' races for Harry Derham winning both nicely. Stable debut maiden hurdle win at Haydock has worked out well and the second has won three races since and is one to note at Windsor tomorrow off a mark of 129. That suggests my fancy is on an attractive mark here and yard can get them fit enough, now gallops are restored. Followed up that Haydock win with another win at Huntingdon and caught the eye travelling well there. Ground seems no issue as has won on good and soft and if fit enough will be hard to beat here on handicap debut. Yard could have a big day today as fancy a few of theirs.

I love King Turgeon who has done me plenty of favours already this season but my worry is David Pipe's current form. Most have been a bit out of sorts and though did have a winner yesterday I'd like to see him in better form. Mind you the top weight will do well to give my fancy over a stone anyway and Sam Thomas's charge is an improving young stayer himself. Won over 3m2f last time at Chepstow after winning over 3m at Exeter and looks a copper bottomed stayer. Trainer and owner are 2-2 at the track this season and in young DJ have a talented conditional onboard who might just get an easy lead and I fancy this one strongly.

Dan Skelton went through a little quiet spell but his bumper horses look a right good bunch and the last two NH flat horses sent out have both won. In fact in bumpers yard are striking at 34% with 18-53 obliging. Dam had already produced four winners from the five foals to hit the track including the smart Gidleigh Park who won on bumper debut himself. This looks a hot race but my fancy looks the each way play at current prices.

Very interesting runner on the all weather for our very own Harry Derham and even money looks a fair old bet. Placed third on both starts in Ireland and the fact went off 13-8f on last start for Joseph O'Brien suggested was well fancied. Beaten by stablemate there and it's an eyecatching venture here for up and coming yard. Billy Loughnane a very shrewd booking and he's rattling on nicely with 4 winners and 3 seconds from last dozen rides. Looks a plan and must go close as both runs were not devoid of promise.
