Randy Rann

I have been a member of Olbg since September 2009 and must say it's one of the most user friendly sites out there. The fact all tips, comments, stats & performances are recorded and available for inspection it really does mean you have to bring a professional approach. You are judged on what you say and do, so I will do my best to help others along the way in our journey to prise some profit out of those miserly bookies. I am a genuine horse racing enthusiast and have spent (or some might say wasted!) over 30 years as an avid punter and the beauty is I am still learning. This site definitely helps as the information and knowledge of other members available is excellent.....and free. My other hobbies are photography and cricket, I'm the current Skipper of Seveno CC a south London friendly cricket team and we're always looking for new players. I'm also a keen photographer and have captured some great memories especially from Cheltenham and if any photos catch your eye, please get in touch. For me, all roads from about November lead to the greatest sporting event of the year, The Cheltenham Festival and I have been going nearly every year since 1998. The memories, stories, good punts & bad will make a great book one day! I always look for value and hopefully a few juicy punts click on here. I would say horse racing is my game but I do like the odd dabble in the golf, boxing & cricket markets. Enjoy the ride!

Is a huge price given bolted up at Chester in his maiden on decent ground over this trip so this sharp track should suit. Stepped up in trip last time in the King George V Handicap and wasn't disgraced there behind Merchant and that form looks okay now. Last year's winner Approval ran a similar race at Royal Ascot as my fancy did on it's previous start before winning here and dropping in trip here I do like this one a lot. Only downer is the draw but could go well if getting a bit of luck in running and Ashariba win over this C&D yesterday drawn 14 of 14 coming with a late wide rattle. Should be much shorter and must be backed.

Is a work in progress and yet to win but caught the eye last time going well in the Group 2 Railway Stakes bumping into the Queen Mary winner and stablemate True Love. Was a similar distance in front of Power Blue as Coppull was in the Coventry at Royal Ascot so seems to have as much chance as that one yet is double the price. Should be winning soon and looks the EW play at currrnt odds. Well entered up and though will get further in time can run well here especially as should hit the line hard. Confidence will grow during race if there is a strong pace.

Very progressive and looked as if could step in grade when a smart handicap winner at Royal Ascot. The runner up has since bustled up Derby winner Lambourn in the Irish version and the 5th won a handicap at Goodwood yesterday, so some form looks already good enough to think this one is very good. The form with Serious Contendef gives him the beating of Sir Dinadan and had already beaten Rahiebb and though this is Goodwood and anything can and normally does happen looks value to me at better than evens. Must go close.

I can't believe this tip top 3yo is not odds on after proving this is her trip in the Musidora and the Pretty Polly. Those efforts sandwiched the brave effort to finish second to stablemate Minnie Hauk in the Oaks and the fact that that one followed up in the Irish version marks form down as classy. Beat Valpana in the Pretty Polly and that one has run a screamer since in the King George to give Whirl another firm form boost. Ryan Moore's choice and though test might be sharp enough getting 9lb from main rival See The Fire seems unfair given her level of form. Must go very close.
