Randy Rann

I have been a member of Olbg since September 2009 and must say it's one of the most user friendly sites out there. The fact all tips, comments, stats & performances are recorded and available for inspection it really does mean you have to bring a professional approach. You are judged on what you say and do, so I will do my best to help others along the way in our journey to prise some profit out of those miserly bookies. I am a genuine horse racing enthusiast and have spent (or some might say wasted!) over 30 years as an avid punter and the beauty is I am still learning. This site definitely helps as the information and knowledge of other members available is excellent.....and free. My other hobbies are photography and cricket, I'm the current Skipper of Seveno CC a south London friendly cricket team and we're always looking for new players. I'm also a keen photographer and have captured some great memories especially from Cheltenham and if any photos catch your eye, please get in touch. For me, all roads from about November lead to the greatest sporting event of the year, The Cheltenham Festival and I have been going nearly every year since 1998. The memories, stories, good punts & bad will make a great book one day! I always look for value and hopefully a few juicy punts click on here. I would say horse racing is my game but I do like the odd dabble in the golf, boxing & cricket markets. Enjoy the ride!

Stealthy Tom

Looks a classier renewal than usual as to the fore of the market are relative youngsters considering the last five winners of this race were aged 14,11,15,11 and 12! You have to go back to 2018 to the last time trainer Enda Bolger won this race but that was the fourteenth time he'd won it since 1997 and for me his Stealthy Tom is the one for an each way punt. He was second beaten just a neck in this to Vital Island two years ago, but is slightly better off in the weights today. Has won a cross country chase race at this course but swerves a Saturday entry in this year's cross country race to run here. Won in first time blinkers some years ago but has not worn them in recent races so interesting they are back on now and if livening him up again can run a big race and looks an each way banker.

Has run some cracking races in firstly a Listed event and then some real competitive big field handicaps finishing 2254 on last four starts and deserves to land a big one soon. That fifth was a staying on run in the Martin Pipe at Cheltenham suggesting a step up to 3m would suit and next run at Aintree when getting 3m for the first time backed that opionion up with an unlucky in running fourth. Mark Walsh's choice of the JP McManus battalion and must go close here. Looks still well handicapped to me as is just 1lb higher than those two big Festival runs in the UK off his British mark of 132 and has to be the each way banker here with plenty of places on offer. Proved stamina for this trip and drying ground not an issue and should go well if not over the top and can finally nail a decent pot.

Listed winner in France and only lightly raced so obviously have t seen the best of her yet. Was only 7th in the Dawn Run Mares' Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham and though behind Sixandahalf and Karoline Banbou there had improved since. Was third in the Grade 1 Honeysuckle at the Fairyhouse Grand National meeting recently reversing the form with Karoline Banbou emphatically and coukd still e on the improve. With Paul Townend back on now who is 1/1 on the horse having won a Clonmel maiden hurdle on her this rates a first class punt in this as looks progressive. Drop in trip and grade shouldn't do her chances any harm either and though Sixandahalf is a stand out on form the way Willie Mullins have gone this week you can't rule her out. Looks a confident place play at least anyway.
