14:30 Ronnie OSullivan v Pang Junxu

Pang Junxu

Win Match

50 WIN

@5.50

Lose

-50

In a two horse race, the odds on the outsider are too good to dismiss. Pang Junxu has won three matches to reach the second round, beating Ashley Carty 10-2 and Jamie Jones 10-6 in the qualifiers and Zhang Anda 10-7 in the first round. While Ronnie O'Sullivan had an easy passage against Ali Carter winning 10-4, Carter didn't put up much of a fight. I fancy Junxu to win!

Pang Junxu to win 13-11

50 WIN

@21.00

Lose

-50

I can see Ronnie O'Sullivan having a problem playing against Pang Junxu as the Rocket hasn't had much match practice because of tournament withdrawals. Junxu is a very capable player, winning his two qualifiers with ease and too good for Zhang Anda in the opening round, winning 10-7, making 6 breaks over 50, including two centuries. I'm going for a 13-11 outcome in favor of Junxu!

-50

Stewart Cink still plays on the regular tour, but now qualifies for the Champions Tour and contesting the Mitsubishi Electric Classic this week, I expect the former Open Champion to strongly contend. The long hitting American has a string of top 10s in his last few tournaments. A winner 8 times on the PGA Tour and once on the Champions, I'll take Cink to chalk up a second win this week!

Two golfers in fine form are JT Poston and Keith Mitchell, and I expect they'll make a great team at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Poston had a T-11 at last week's RBC Heritage, and Mitchell has started well in tournaments, although not putting four solid rounds together until last week's second-place finish at the Corales Puntacana Championship. I'll take this pair to win this doubles tournament!

J.T. Poston is paired with Keith Mitchell which is potent pairing as both are firing on all cylinders with Mitchell's second place finish at the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic last week and Poston's T-11 at the RBC. I reckon they can shoot low and lead after day 1 in New Orleans this week!

Ross Smith is playing great darts on the European tours, and I fully expect him to prove too strong for Peter Wright, who went through a bad period where his form suffered badly. He has never recovered his form of old, and it has hurt his game. Smith for me!

Dirk van Duijvenbode is playing excellent darts at present and I fully expect him to prove too strong for Canadian Matt Campbell, although Campbell has the game to beat any player, but doesn't have the consistency of a lot of his peers. I'll take the Dutch player to advance!
13:30 Chris Dobey vs Wessel Nijman

Chris Dobey should be feeling confident having won his maiden Premier League title in Rotterdam. Wessel Nijman is a dangerous player, but can lack consistency, so, money's on Dobey to prove too strong for the Dutch thrower on this occasion.

15:00 Brighton v West Ham

Draw

50 WIN

@4.10

West Ham have been awful all season and can't be trusted. Brighton were excellent earlier in the season, but they have been guilty of some poor play of late. I can't see any of these sides winning the game, so money's on the draw!
15:00 Newcastle v Ipswich

Draw

50 WIN

@8.50

Lose

-50

With Newcastle hammered 4-1 by Aston Villa at Villa Park last week, Ipswich might feel they can get something from the game. One win, a draw, and two defeats in their last four games show Ipswich, at least, not laying down. So, while it's unlikely, I'm opting for a drawn game here!
15:00 Southampton v Fulham

Draw

50 WIN

@4.20

With four defeats in their last six games, Fulham's form has dipped after some excellent performances earlier in the season. They'll be expected to beat Southampton at St Mary's, but the Saints have two draws from their last four and could get another at home on Saturday.

Wolves will be hoping for a 5th win on the trot following some excellent successes over Man United, Tottenham, Ipswich, and West Ham. With Leicester playing Championship football next season, I feel they're spent with little fight left in them. Home win!

Everton are an improved side who can trouble Chelsea in this fixture. These sides drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture at Goodison back in December, but on this occasion, I'm of the opinion, the Toffees will stick it to those Londoners!

Tom Clover's Sixtygeesbaby was an impressive winner over 6F in an 11 runner novice winning with something in hand under today's jockey Neil Callan. That race was early November, and while most runners would need one of two outings to get back to speed, I'll take a chance on Clover's 3-y-o being ready to roll!

Scott Dixon's King Of York ran very well in three of his last four starts, all at Southwell, winning two over 7F and runner-up over a mile. While he was 6th of eight over a mile last outing in late March, the return to 7F at Donny today should benefit the 6-year-old!

A winner in Dublin a few weeks ago, Gerwyn Price faces last week's Rotherham winner Chris Dobey in Liverpool on Thursday. I fancy the Welshman to win as Dobey doesn't have the experience of Price in these Premier League events.

It's taken Stephen Bunting a while to find his form in these Premier League events, but he certainly did in Berlin winning a final decider against Price and Rotterdam last week making the final. Luke Littler has done most of the winning in these Premier League events. I feel he's taking over in darts like his opponent Michael van Gerwen did a decade ago. On current form, I'll take Littler to prove too strong for van Gerwen.

Nathan Aspinall doesn't have the consistency of Luke Humphries, but he is capable of winning the tournament as he proved in Manchester two weeks ago. In that final, he beat Humphries, though "Cool Hand" failed to spark then. I reckon Humphries will get revenge in Liverpool.

I'm chancing an away win for Crystal Palace as I need points. Arsenal should win as Crystal Palace haven't been great of late, but football produces odd results sometimes. Arsenal hammered Palace in December in the reverse game, so it's unlikely, but it's an away win for me!

Aston Villa are seeking a 6th win on the trot and, on current form, can get the points at Manchester City this evening. Man City are also in good form, but Villa's walloping of Newcastle on Saturday will have them hungry for a repeat against Pep Guardiola's side!

Ludvig Aberg won the Genesis Invitational in February for his second career PGA Tour win. The Swede had a poor March missing cuts at the Players and Texas Open. Mark Williams showed great form in the early part of the season, but that excellent form tapered off in the latter part. I fancy Wu Yize to beat the Welshman in this match as he's improved rapidly over the last couple of seasons becoming a solid match player.

I'm taking Wu Yize to beat Mark Williams by a 10-7 scoreline. The young Chinese player is one of the most improved on the circuit and making his Crucible debut won't bother the player. Mark Williams had a great first part of the season, but looked tired in the latter part. Turning 50 can affect players in different ways, and Williams recently hit the half-century. I'm taking Yize to win 10-7.

I can see this match going the distance as Chris Wakelin is a much improved player who could upset the odds here. The Aussie played outstanding snooker to win the World Grand Prix last month, inflicting a 10-0 battering on finalist Stuart Bingham. Wakelin was a 10-2 winner over Martin O'Donnell in the final qualifying round, so will be keen to face Robertson. I'm opting for a 10-8 victory in favor of the Australian!

Nytol is a decent mare who is yet to chalk up a win. With three runs for the Terrence O'Brien stable producing a second of eight and a 4th of 14 in recent Limerick three mile maiden hurdles, I'll take a chance on the 7-y-o producing the goods over this 19F trip.
14:00 Fulham v Chelsea

6th placed Chelsea travel to 8th placed Fulham in what should be a close encounter. Fulham have become an erratic side, winning one week, losing the next. Chelsea could only manage a 2-2 draw at home to Championship-bound Ipswich last week, which was a poor result for them. But a semi-final spot in the UEFA Conference League awaits after success against Legia Warsaw in midweek. It should be close at Craven Cottage, so money's on the draw!

With nothing to lose, Ipswich can get something from the match based on recent form. A 1-2 win away at the Vitality and a 2-2 draw at Chelsea show the Tractor Boys are playing with a belief in their abilities. Arsenal can, at times, think they only have to show up to get the points, or take a side they should normally beat for granted. With home advantage, Ipswich have a good opportunity, if playing with the same spirit as they did against Chelsea last week, of getting a draw from this game!
